Silver Beach Hotel in Kardamaina

Old hotel with no lift. At the reception (which is situated at another hotel on the other side of the road) they asked me to pay for the air conditioning and I had to claim the reimbursement as it was in fact included to my booking. Tiny bathroom. Room needs refurbishment. Except the location, I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

The rooms do not look like the ones promissed on Booking. The bathrooms are old and look really bad. There is a good variety of food for breakfast but it does get boring during a 7 day stay. The staff are nice and friendly and the wifi is strong.
The entire island kept having power outages and the hotel doesn't have a backup generator so there was no electricity in the hotel. This resulted in an annoying beeping sound coming from the reception and food poisoning. We would come down to dinner at 7pm, litteraly the time dinner opened and the food was cold. Fridge temperature cold. Meaning it wasn't freshly cooked for dinner, presumably it was leftovers from lunch. Because of this, we god food poisoning (and we know it's the hotel food because by the time we got it, we didn't eat anywhere besides in the hotel).
