Got the senior villa and the view was not as good we thought of the caldera. The lack of view of caldera was a huge disappointment for the price. The villa was large and clean. The highlight of Santorini was this hotel/spa. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we were treated with absolute royalty. Overall, the hotel is good. The view from the room is great. There is a small but constant temperature hot spring bath, which is very comfortable to watch the sunset. The hotel is far from Fira town, and there are three free shuttle buses a day. There is a convenience store a few hundred meters away where you can buy some beer and drinks.

However, the hotel is not luggage-friendly due to the lack of elevators and abundance of stairs - there were even steps in our room, and no one helped us with our heavy luggage. I was a bit worried about staying in Finikia as it was about 15 mins walk from Oia, however the location proved that I was over worrying! I was glad that I wasn’t living in Oia given the crowd that were there. Finikia gave me more privacy and a more relaxed vibe. The gigantic improvement needed here is that only 50% of the rooms allow you to control your own air conditioning. By far the best burger I've ever had during my 33 years on this planet we call earth! The patty was super juicy and perfectly grilled, again, the best burger I've had! The room was adequate, the food wasn’t bad although the staff had nothing better to do but make things up that it’s unsafe for us to drink or eat around the pool area unless food or drinks were purchased onsite. The hotel is perched high up above Imerovigli with spectacular views. The rooms are beautiful, we stayed in the honeymoon suites and the staff are always happy to help. The massage from Yanis was excellent, I would recommend that especially as you should be prepared to go nowhere without going up and down huge steps, by the end of your stay your calves will be toned to perfection.

Pro tip: if you are looking for the best quiet luxury experience, look no further. This is it. Everyone and everything was perfect. Fantastic all around. Property was stunning - be warned it’s a walk to the property on the walking route and you will get your stair workout - but it’s so worth it. Our junior suite was perfect, beautifully detailed and the view is incredible. Less crowded than Fira or Oia, quiet, lovely. Be sure to go to Avocado restaurant nearby, Greek food was amazing and clearly a family business.

I travel a lot and always in very nice hotels. I cannot say enough about the incredible service the employees give you in this hotel. It’s above 5 star. Easily the best place to stay in Santorini, hands down. Put this one on your bucket list. Take note, lots of stairs to climb but well worth it.
