We recently stayed at this cozy family owned hotel run by “Alexander the Great”. He was very welcoming and ready to accommodate our every need to make our stay comfortable. The apartment units are big and spacious, clean and comfortable and had charm. This place is conveniently located close to the main square and the Caldera views of Fira. It was walking distance to the bus/taxis and located beside a 24hr coin laundry which we appreciated, having been travelling for 8days prior to arriving here. The breakfast was fresh and well worth it. Unfortunately it was too cold to swim to enjoy the pool. But all in all we had a fabulous time and highly recommend. Thank you again for hosting us and we will definitely see you again.

We stayed here for 5 nights and had a great experience and highly recommend. Here is why:
- fantastic location, next to everything in Fira.
- great price.
- staff very helpful. Especially Alex. He hooked us up with a catamaran trip, helped us pick a day when the winds were lite for best experience, plus arranged pick up and drop off at the hotel. Perfect. We had a great time.
- Alex recommended a nearby restaurant we enjoyed. He recommended we watch sunset from restaurant in Imerovigli because it is less crowded and better view. He was right. He recommended a nearby travel agency to book our ferry to Naxos. Extremely helpful and nice. The kitchen staff was helpful too

Very Clean, spacious room with newly renovated bathroom. A block away from the Fira bus station and 10 mins walk from Fira Main Square. Good location. Comfortable beds. Knowledgeable staff. Free breakfast was decent for Europe standards. Would stay again.

Family trip with 6 of us across 3 rooms. We stayed in Fira and this hotel was exactly what we needed. Friendly helpful staff Nice pool to cool down in Close to Fora town square Close to public bus station The place is a little dated but we enjoyed it completely.

Family-run hotel... Alexander at the front desk was excellent for recommending restaurants to eat at in Fira. Convenient location to the center of Fira. Nice selection of food for breakfast. All in all I enjoyed my stay.

The hotel was nice, super clean, and very conveniently located because we did not rent a vehicle and needed to take the bus. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Loved our experience at Sunrise Hotel.

We stayed at the hotel for two nights and had a great experience. Alexis welcomed us warmly and even spoke perfect Spanish, which was a nice surprise. She gave us great tips on what to see and do, including excursions. You can buy water at a good price directly at the hotel. Breakfast is varied, and the rooms are very clean and well maintained. One of the hotel’s biggest advantages is its location — just a few steps from the Fira bus station, where all buses to the rest of the island depart. That was especially helpful since we weren’t planning to rent a car. I’d definitely stay here again, and we’ve already recommended it to friends who will be visiting in a couple of weeks.

Christina and Alex were the most amazing hosts! We recently got engaged, and Christina surprised us with a bottle of wine in our room — such a thoughtful gesture that made our stay even more special. I honestly can’t praise them enough. The location is perfect — just a short walk to Fira centre and some incredible restaurants. Truly the best experience, and we’ll definitely be visiting them again!

We stayed for four nights as a young couple with a 5month old baby. They provided us with a baby crib upon request. Alexander was super helpful and very friendly. The breakfast had a nice selection and was very complete for a buffet style breakfast. We enjoyed the pool facilities that even had some shaded areas for the baby. The room we had was facing the road, but we found it pretty quiet when the shutters and doors were closed. Downfall is that we didn't have a whole lot of extra room with the baby crib and our two suitcases, however we didn't pay for a sweet so it was to be expected (it's the size of a hotel room with one queen bed). The bed and pillows were comfortable. They provided clean towels for the pool upon request and were very welcoming with our baby. They even gave her extra attention every day!
I would highly recommend for its great location and price. We were walking distance to all the main strips and close to the bus stop. We had a rental car and were able to find parking in the free public parking lots (although sometimes quite full).
