Great place to stay and enjoyed both the sauna and gym facilities a lot~
Very good hotel! a bit walk to city center but it s very good walking along way very nice!
The hotel is very close to the city center, especially since we rented a car, and there are plenty of supermarkets and shops nearby. The restaurant downstairs serves delicious dinner, and the breakfast is surprisingly rich, even offering instant noodles!
The hotel parking lot is very large.
Friendly staff, the hotel room is a lil bit old
This business trip was quite comfortable; the service was excellent, and the overall experience was great.

Friendly and helpful staff. Help us call a taxi when we are in need. Very good.
Good service, convenient location right next to bus stop 12. Lucky to see northern lights right outside the hotel!
Foss hotel Reykjavik is a great place, conveniently located next to Bus stop 12 where all the tour operators pick up and drop off as well as Fly bus tdrop off and pick up. The hotel is very clean and safe. I have a fantastic experience with the staff in front desk and house keeping. I was a solo traveller and I asked guidance to the front desk on some places that i wanted to go within and near Reykjavik...
Rooms were clean and modern, ours had a L'or coffee machine in which I liked but there was no milk so my husband (who prefers milky coffee) didn't use this. There was no room temperature control. We did open the small window in the room but were still too hot. Rain shower was good. There were toiletries in the room and also a recycling bin. Plenty of cubby holes for clothes. Mini fridge. Large safe...
A typical tourist hotel. Located in Reykjavik very close to the bay. The rooms are clean an well equipped with a clean bathroom and toilet. The room is heated centrally so you cannot regulate it yourself. We were here in February and it was always nice warm in the room. Maybe too warm in the night, but you can easily sleep without the duvet. The restaurant downstairs as well as the beer garden are...
This is right off the waterfront, close to all things. You can walk right down to the city center or to the waterfront. Also a great place. If you're gonna take a tour bus to see the northern lights. They do have a little convenience center too. For picking up snacks, the rooms did have a small mini fridge. Everything was very clean. We were pleased great aesthetics. There's a bar and a restaurant

Stay here twice. 2nd best hotel in our 10-days Iceland trip.
Best! Staffs very helpful, especially Geogrey, he is really very good helping us when we missed our tour one morning. Room size is good! Bathroom is best! Highly recommended.
Everything was great except for the slightly out-of-the-way location. The facilities were complete, breakfast was plentiful, and the service was attentive and enthusiastic.
This is my first time visiting Iceland, and I had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with ample room and a big, cozy bathroom. The reception staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, making my stay even more enjoyable. I would definitely consider staying here again if I visit Iceland in the future.
The hotel is located in what's arguably the most popular area for hotels in Iceland. It's about a 10-minute drive to the harbor, museums, and shopping spots. The rooms are quite spacious, but the bed was a bit too soft for my liking.
Had a great stay at this hotel. The booking was meant to be for a twin room but initially was given a double. After a bit of searching the staff managed to sort out a twin room for us. On checking out I'd left my Bluetooth headphones in the room. E-mailed the hotel and the headphones had been found and were posted back to me at my expense. Would definitely recommend

Superb hotel! Very stylish, clean and comfortable place to stay. The location is spot on for exploring the city and close to bus stop 6 (if you're booking tours). Rooms were very comfortable, with everything you need and although small we had absolutely no issues with this. Breakfast was very nice, with plenty to choose from. We also ate in the bar one night, chose the burger, which was one of the...
An absolutely amazing hotel. We loved everything about it. The rooms were well stocked. Coffee machines. Bathrooms clean. Beds and pillows were comfortable. There was a fridge and safe. Great location from all the Reykjavík sites. Breakfast was amazing.
This hotel is in a wonderful location and within walking distance to many cafes, restaurants, and shops. The breakfast is very diverse and offers a multitude of options for whatever you may desire. The staff was very nice and accommodating for the most part. My only grievance is when we first checked in, we had an issue with the sheets not being clean. When I checked in, I was given an upgraded...
Excellent location. Boutique hotel vibe. Great options for buffet breakfast (included). Rooms are small but there are plenty of open communal spaces throughout the hotel. You can borrow a portable record player and records for your room if you like. Great option to grab-and-go food across from reception area. Great location. The staff were rally friendly and welcoming. My room was perfect and very warm and cosy. There is a spa but I didn't use it. The food is the restaurant is excellent and I recommend a visit there.
Well located, the main turistic street in Rekyavik starts right in front of the hotel. The hotel is cosy, with good size rooms and refreshed. The breakfast is great as well and the restaurant is open also for lunch and dinner. The SPA is lovely has two warm tubs and a saun and a small gym I.
We stayed at Midgardur by Center Hotels during a Lesbifriends Travel group trip to Iceland and found it to be a solid, comfortable base in Reykjavik. The location is very convenient, close enough to walk to shops, restaurants, and pick up points for tours, but still felt calm and manageable for a group. The rooms were clean, modern, and well maintained, and the beds were comfortable after long days...
Beautiful modern and clean hotel in the center of Reykjavik. Everything is walking distance from here. Absolutely beautiful. In front of the hotel there is a beautiful record store, if you like music you might get lost in there. Beds are very comfortable, breakfast is great. Next time I will stay longer. Thank you Silvia for the smooth and quick check in.
Fantastic hotel right in the centre of town! Close to all the bus stops for tour pick ups and loads of nice places to eat. Staff are super friendly and the room was clean and large for a city centre hotel. Spa facilities were a great added bonus! 10/10 would definitely stay again.
This hotel offers great value for money, especially considering how expensive things are in Iceland. We stayed for a week and it only cost us about 2500 per person. The hotel staff are incredibly efficient; they typically bring whatever you need within five minutes. For example, when we mentioned our room was cold, they immediately brought a heater. Comfortable hotel a short walk from the city center. The room we had was big, with a lovely bed, a bathroom that was clean and spacious enough and all facilities you might need. The breakfast buffet was good, as long as you stay away from the waffle irons and the espresso machine if you have only a short amount of time (they have very tasty filter coffee at the other end of the buffet, no queues there...
Lovely hotel with great facilities including a wonderful spa (extra cost for standard guests). Very friendly and helpful reception staff. Rooms reasonably spacious. Buffet breakfast was excellent and worth paying that bit extra. Its location is however a fair walk out of town (and beyond the bus station). We coped because we’re happy to walk, but there’s a lot of construction going on in the area,...
We paid an upgrade to a twin superior and had early access to the room which we were grateful for, following an early flight. Twin superior room was spacious, coffee machine, fridge and kettle provided, bathroom was great. Really comfy beds. Staff were fantastic and breakfast was superb, loads of choice. Would thoroughly recommend.
Average good. No pedestrian way from BSI station
A good stay overall! A nice hotel just on the outskirts of town. Nice foyer area and the room itself was clean and good. Reception staff were okay without being exceptional. Shower water was slow to run away.
Convenient and full of artistic flair.

This room type is incredibly spacious, especially for Northern Europe. The decor is elegant, and having a microwave in the kitchen is a big plus. It's located on the basement level, and both the room and dining area have doors that open out to a small patio.
The hotel windows couldn't be opened, but the location was great, right on the street with P2 and P3 parking lots across the way. The room was a bit small, and the value for money was slightly low, but it was clean, parking was good, and the staff were friendly.
The location is convenient, just a 5-minute walk to the city center. It's also close to bus stations #2 and #3, which is great for catching local tour buses. The hotel is clean and comfortable, definitely recommended!
Very comfortable and spacious room. Great location, 5 minute walk to Rainbow Street and many great food options. Right across the street from FlyBus pickup/drop off station.
Hotel  location is perfect, just at the central of the city!

Quaint little add-on to the luxurious hotel which helped us feel welcome. Breakfast is worth the extra money. Great selection of food in the Bistro. The spa is phoneomenal and reasonably priced..had things I had never heard of before, very very relaxing.
Probably one of the good price-to-quality ratio accommodations near the airport. Just wished they had an actual shuttle to the hotel.
One of the reasons I booked this place is because it is listed with airport transfer: however, once booked, I was informed there is no such service and to take a taxi. This costs $40 for a 7 min ride. The room is simple and plain, fine for a night's stay. You get breakfast and can order meals and taxis at the hotel across the street, but beware, the waitress tried to rip me off charging me $139 for...
Group of people from an undisclosed Asian country came in with a large group and “unpacked” for 3 plus hours, leaving all of their doors open so they could more efficiently communicate room to room and sit in the hallway we all shared. The night before wasn’t bad, but that group understood that some folks can’t sleep with loud floor wide conversations going on. I asked front desk to check on it which...

Great choice if you have early flight to catch, especially with the free shuttle to airport.
Perfect for an airport stop off. The rooms are big, cosy and spotlessly clean. Groceries and snacks available at reception. Restaurant open until 21:30 for dinner has a good atmosphere. Big carpark. Only negative was the temperature in the shower was a bit hit and miss.
Overall, it's pretty good. What really sold me was the free shuttle to the airport in the morning. The hygiene was decent, and the room was spacious enough. The heating worked great in winter. The only downside was the showerhead; the water flow was just a trickle, which made showering a bit frustrating. For food, there's a convenient food hall and a FoodDeli (with a small supermarket) nearby. I'd...
Perfect hotel for a stopover before flying. Close proximity to hire car drop off points. Easily connected by bus service from the airport. Free Airport transfer is super helpful. Using words from my mouth I was able to ask for an extra pillow at reception, no need to leave a bad review for that!Rooms large and comfortable. Very nice hotel.
Clean hotel, love the rooms they are very big and spacious, also the bed and blankets are super soft. Breakfast is small but good. The lighting in the rooms, restaurants and hallways are a bit too dimmed, gives creepy vibes. Other than that I would definitely recommend this hotel for a stay before or after a flight. 👍🏼

Excellent stay for one night. My friends and I were unexpectedly upgraded to 2 spacious rooms. We had a nice relaxed meal in the bistro. A taxi was booked for an early flight the hotel is well positioned to get to the airport.
We got a room the night of and the front desk attendant was very friendly and helpful. This place is in walking distance of a 24hr market and a few restaurants. We ate at the hotel restaurant and it was well prepared and staffed. The drinks were nice and the food was yummy. The tv was nice in the room and the shower as well. They had nice toiletries too. A great experience! The hotel has the perfect location, only ten minutes by car from the airport. The multicultural staff are first class and their friendliness make you feel at home. They serve a very early breakfast at 5 a.m., that includes English breakfast, Asian food and a variety of fruit. Highly recommended!
It is an ok hotel but the price compared to what you get is outrageous. The interior design in my room was non existent, wooden floors instead of carpet, the bed was too small to reach the wall night stands. It seemed all like someone tried to design a hotel in the 90s and then gave up half way through. However, the breakfast is really good staff is friendly (although only one person can take payments...

I stayed here for 5 nights and couldn't fault anything with this hotel. The location was fantastic. A short 3 minute walk to bus stop 1 at the city hall. I got a bus from the airport to there and caught two different buses for tours to the golden circle and the northern lights as well. As a solo traveller this was perfect as there was nothing to worry about. There was also a free shuttle bus there...
Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. Location is perfect for exploring Reykjavik. But the price you pay for the central location is it is very noisy at night until the early hours of the morning. We also appeared to have construction work being carried out in rooms above us, starting at 9am. Perfect if you're there for the nightlife but not if you're hoping to get some sleep
My friend and I had two large suitcases, and we could both lay them flat – the room was really spacious and comfortable. The only minor thing was that the duvet was a bit small, even for a woman, but it was very clean. Overall, very satisfied!
The hotel is nice but I felt it was a bit budget for the price. Very friendly and helpful staff. The tap was loose in the bathroom. In the bathroom of my room the sink area was too small. The nightclub opposite the hotel can shaker the room with us bass. It is also in the center of Reykjavik so expect high traffic of people and cars creating noise. The hotel sits on a street corner, with easy access to the city centre and a nice view of the harbour. Clean and warm, with enjoyable breakfast. The sauna and relaxation areas are not huge, but offer a nice opportunity to unwind after a long day out in the cold weather. The staff are friendly and happy to help with eating suggestions and deals available. I would definitely go back in the future.
Hotel is in a great location (close to bus stop 5 which you'll get why knowing bus stop numbers is ideal as this is where you wait for yours to pick up or bus to the airport). Breakfast is good and close to harbour means nice views. Just come with an idea of spending more than you think as that is how Iceland is! Blue Lagoon is a must...!
The room facilities are complete and the space is quite large. It's very close to the pier, making it a great choice if you're planning a whale-watching trip. The hotel's hygiene is good, and it's super close to Boss Zhu's restaurant, highly recommended!
The location is excellent, within walking distance to the city's popular attractions, restaurants, cafes, etc. The room is relatively small, but comfortable. The bathroom is relatively small, especially the wash basin. The so-called buffet breakfast is not bad, but there is not much choice of food. The hotel service and staff are very friendly and helpful.

The front desk staff were very helpful and advised us where to park our car. The hotel doesn't have its own parking space. We had to park at any space available at the narrow lane in front of the hotel. Room is clean and well renovated. It is spacious too.
If you want to be in the old harbor area this is the spot. Great staff, very much my kind of place and interesting non chain vibe. Lots of Construction close by and across from us a ship was being repaired so the Old Harbor still has some authenticity but most of it. It’s been turned over to tourist attractions. Was there in Winter but I suspect. in the summer, the place would be very busy.
After being whisked away to Iceland for a 'special' birthday the 4 nights we had here were great. The hotel is ideally situated, just out of the main hustle and bustle, easily reached by a 5-10 minute walk, even being so close to a working port it was really quiet (the engineers working on the ship on the slipway didn't start work until after 8!) Very cozy nordic style hotel. This actually big hotel with sauna and hot tub. Breakfast also great.
We had a great stay at Stracta - the chalet style rooms were not a surprise as we looked through all photos on booking before choosing to stay. The only negative I can say is that the shower was really tight, the two doors don’t really work well. Other than that we had a great stay, the pull out bed for our daughter was far more comfortable than the one in others we’d stayed in. The staff were lovely...
Highly recommend! We stayed in one of the rooms with the private hot tubs. The room was very spacious and well laid out. The rooms were very clean and so was the hotel. The only thing was the shower is the room wasn’t working at its best, only the one showerhead was working. The food was good. In the area there isn’t a lot so you have to drive. Overall though the hotel was very peaceful and relaxing...
Spent 2 nights in Stracta hotel during summer. We were given a room in the outdoor without shelter, so it was quite a hassle when it rained. Otherwise the room was pretty standard size, squeezy for 3 people, would be fine for 2. Didn't manage to try the hot tub as it was full with patrons. Do not forget the complimentary drinks, Cheers!
I recently stayed at the Stracta Hotel in Hella Iceland with family, and wanted to post a quick review here. I stayed in one of their superior designated rooms with a double bed. Brilliant hotel, great location close enough to centre to walk in (5-10 mins to bars and restaurants) but easy enough to park closeby to. Room was a good size and hotel had a really nice ambience aswell as a good coffee shop underneath. Only downside was we didn’t realise under 12s couldn’t use the spa facilities at any time which was disappointing.

Beautiful hotel in a stunning surrounding. We stayed for 2 nights. Nicely decorated. Breakfast and dinner were good. However they charge fine dining prices which is too much and did not feel right. As there are no dining options nearby there isn’t really a choice.

The room was rather small, and the breakfast selection was limited, but the location was excellent, making it easy to reach various parts of the town. The gym had many facilities, but it was mostly empty, so you could practically have the gym to yourself.
The room was spacious and well-equipped, with the heated towel rack being particularly noteworthy. It snowed on the day we checked in, and our clothes were completely soaked—the heated towel rack was very helpful for drying smaller items. The breakfast was a buffet with a wide variety of options, which suited our tastes perfectly. This hotel offers excellent value for money and is highly recommended
It was a nice hotel. Friendly staff and good amenities. Will back for my next trip
It's just so-so, not cost-effective!
The room is clean and tidy, with scenic spots outside the window
The hotel does not have a parking lot and you need to find a public parking space yourself.
