OYO 884 Hotel Sheldon in Kolkata

Worst experience.
Four of us went to have dinner on 28th Sep 2017. Few pointers to justify my rating-

1. We went during Durga Puja times so little haphazard condition was expected. But when we tried to order the food it was told we have to order all items at once.(Starter to dessert).

2. After some time, the biriyani was delivered but without Gravy item(Chicken Bharta). After 5-7 mins when we enquired and he told if we are in such hurry we can cancel the order(It was delivered after some more time).Now please tell me it is too much to expect to have side dish along with main dish. BTW, starter(Tengri Kebab) was delivered after main course ( he told us beforehand so it was not much issue but of course an turn off)

3. After dinner was over, the supervisor kind of guy told your bill amounts 1800.But bill processing will take some time. So if you don't want the bill you can pay 1600(clear case of tax evasion). We were not sure about the amount 1600 also. So, when we asked for a break up of 1600 he understood he can't dupe us. So came up with the bill and guess what the gross amount was 1640.

How often we mention about Arsalan and it's biriyani while mentioning food of Kolkata. But today's incident shocked me to the core. If this is the way one of best restaurants of Kolkata is behaving and cheating customers, what can we expect from others.

Food is good no doubt but they are charging 18% tax twice. One for GST n one for ac restaurant.

I hv the invoice. May complain to sales tax dept
