Villa JJ and Spa Ubud in Ubud

Nice place, close to the center. Nearby there is a beautiful road through the rice fields and authentic villas. Bear the road but no noise from it. But it was construction next to us, and they worked very loudly from 8 am till 10 pm. Also upsetting

Stayed here for 3 weeks with my friends in the Grand Deluxe room. I really enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend this resort. To start of, it was exactly as pictured and has an overall great view and vibe. I love the Balinese-style interior and concept, the balcony especially felt very chill and relaxed and I was very impressed that the TV has Netflix.

What stood out to me the most was the service and warm Balinese hospitality. The manager and staff were always friendly and offered help for any of our requests. For example, as me and my friends were in Bali for a project, we had to reach office at 9 am everyday. We were offered to pre-order breakfast so that we could eat before work. The food is very yummy as it is cooked fresh upon order from their menu. There is also a cafe, Kopi Nako, that serves really tasty coffees and matcha lattes. They have a unique “daur baur” series which is a blend of almond and oat milk. I highly recommend trying the Kopi Nako and Daur Baur. Other notable mentions: banana fritters and fried mushroom. The staff also helped to bring our luggages up and down.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by 2 dogs that stay in the resort or at the mart next to it, Bibi and Bronnie. I really enjoyed the warm welcome and they are sooo cute. Fell in love with them over the 3 weeks. Don’t worry, they are trained not to enter the pool and rooms.

If you are looking for a villa-feel but with good management, service, and food, I highly recommend this place as sometimes in a private villa you might lack security or access to food nearby. There are little reviews for this place as it is quite new and the market in Bali is quite saturated, but I think it is great value. Thank you so much Kanma for the great and comfortable stay!

- location was a 7 min scooter ride to central Ubud (like Ubud palace), but quiet and spacious due to it being a couple of minutes out
- good wifi if you’re close to the router
- tv in every room with Netflix and prime
- daily breakfast, coffee, and water available
- reliable aircon
- cost was extremely reasonable for this type of property

Cons
- WiFi in my room was not very reliable
- cafe didn’t have the best vegetarian food but they did try to accommodate

Kanma resort is such a gem! The rooms are spacious and really feel like home. The balcony is a peaceful place to spend time relaxing also. They really cleaned the rooms well and the linens and towels were fresh.
They are also so kind and welcoming. I was sick with a bad head cold during my stay and they got me medicine and made sure I had everything I needed. Thank you Kanma!

I did stay in this property for two nights was very good quite place and staff were very friendly and helpful.

Overal, that villa is good. The staff in there very friendly and helpfull. All of them is very kind. My room have natural bathroom, it's very comfortable and feel immersed in nature.
But the quality of the bed is not good , I feel uncomfortable and have backache when sleeping
