Hotel La Roqqa in Porto Ercole

The staff at the hotel is amazing from the moment you pull up to the door. I would’ve loved to stay longer it was such a beautiful experience. A special shout out to Marina who makes every guest feel special. The hotel was beautiful, the beach club is phenomenal. Great people, great property.

We loved our stay at La Roqqa! It was such a treat. Every staff member we spoke to was extremely accommodating and friendly. The space itself felt luxurious but comforting, and we joked that if we could we’d redesign our bathroom at home to be just like the one in our room. Really can’t wait to go back and have another relaxed, elegant stay.

We have previously enjoyed holidays in Tuscany’s Monte Argentario, but this was our first time in La Roqqa. As always in a new location there is inevitably an initial element of doubt, but we needn’t have worried. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed, cosseted, supported and made to feel a very special part of the La Roqqa family. Nothing was too much trouble to ensure that we had the very best possible experience. All of the guest experience staff - and I mean every single one - Luca, Stefania, Marica, Roberta, Diletta, Sara, Martina - and anyone else I might have omitted - were absolutely outstanding. But the quality didn’t stop there. Francesco and Tomasso worked superbly in the Sunset Bar - and all of the rooftop restaurant staff at breakfast & dinner - led by Stefania - were quite special. We loved the Isolotto Beach Club and its relaxed & friendly beach restaurant, and the free shuttles were always available for trips to the beach, town and further afield. Executive chef Francesco Ferretti was on hand to oversee both the beach restaurant grill and the Scirocco rooftop restaurant experience, and - since we had an extended stay - we were frequently offered off-menu dishes to tempt the palate. The La Roqqa experience was very special, and characterized by the amazing enthusiasm, focus and determination of the young staff members to deliver a guest experience like no other. We will be back, for sure.

what a hotel ! the location , the beach club , everything ! but what sets this apart is the staff.. they are amazing ! so friendly , helpful , extraordinary service ! a special mention to Marica and Oiletta on reception , they are so lovely ! and also Carlo at the beach club , he made my friend and my day !

We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was by far the best hotel we’ve ever stayed at! The staff was unbelievable. So attentive and helpful. They truly went above and beyond. The perfect beach club & dining experiences. So close to everything. We will definitely be back!

Stayed at La Roqqa with my fiancée, which was an absolute pleasure all round. Fantastic views, impeccable service, amazing drinks and food combined with excellent furnished facilities couldn’t result in anything else than a five star experience. Will definitely return again.

La Roqqa is truly a hidden gem tucked into the beautiful harbor town of Porto Ercole. The property itself has been impeccably renovated—striking a perfect balance between modern elegance and understated charm. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the breathtaking view from our sea-facing balcony and the peaceful rhythm that greeted us each day. Each morning began with a leisurely breakfast on the rooftop terrace, where the food was fresh, the atmosphere serene, and the service consistently warm and attentive. During our first two days, we were shuttled down to La Roqqa’s private beach club, Isolotto, where we lounged on plush sunbeds overlooking the dazzling blue sea. Cold drinks flowed freely, and lunch at the seaside restaurant was both delicious and delightfully unpretentious—exactly what we love about dining in Italy. Throughout our stay, the concierge team helped us craft a perfect balance of rest, discovery, and celebration. One day, we chartered a private speedboat from the harbor and crossed over to the island of Giglio—a peaceful, untouched treasure. After wandering through the charming port lined with local shops and cafés, we swam in quiet turquoise coves and soaked up the sun. The following day, we were welcomed at Cala Piccola, La Roqqa’s sister hotel, where we enjoyed another exquisite lunch followed by a swim from one of the most stunning beach clubs we’ve ever experienced. Set among the rocks with diving access to the clear Mediterranean, the experience was simply unforgettable. We also had the chance to explore the quaint streets and boutiques of Orbetello and savor lunches and dinners at local favorites, including Villa Domizia and Ristorante Bistrò Ale da Pasquale e Marcella. On our final day, wanting to do something different, your amazing team suggested a visit to the more natural seaside setting of La Cappanuccia. It was the perfect way to end our trip—waves lapping, another delicious meal, and the warm hospitality of Max, who made us feel like old friends. It is the people of La Roqqa who truly set this experience apart. We were continually impressed by the exceptional professionalism, kindness, and genuine passion shown by each member of the team. From check in to check out, La Roqqa was a 5 star experience. My husband and I take one big European vacation each summer and La Roqqa had the best service of any 5 star hotel we have ever stayed at. The staff were extremely attentive while at the same time very friendly and welcoming. We spent most days at the beach club which was a beautiful location with comfortable chairs and plenty of shade. The rooftop restaurant, with gorgeous views of Porto Ercole had an amazing breakfast and served great cocktails in the evening. After a 5 night stay, we left feeling rejuvenated and relaxed.

We loved our stay here. The hotel is beautifully designed and the staff are great. We especially liked the roof top bar and restaurant with views over Porto Ercole. It was very hot when we were there so we spent most of our time at the beach club which was great, a pretty little beach and nice casual restaurant for lunch, transfer to and from was very smoothly and easy. There was also a great little bar just above the beach club at the top of the hill which had great views and nice for a sundowner at the end of the day!
