Hotel Palazzo del Capitano Wellness & Relais - Luxury Borgo Capitano Collection in San Quirico d'Orcia

A little piece of paradise — this hotel is absolutely beautiful! Friendly, spotless, and full of class. Upon arrival, the staff warmly welcomed us and made us feel right at home. We even got a short tour of the hotel and its lovely garden with a pool.

We stayed in room 27 — highly recommended! There’s even a secret little room upstairs, accessible by a small ladder, with a cozy couch where you can relax in peace.

Breakfast is amazing — you can choose from four menus, and any changes you’d like are no problem. The staff makes sure you have plenty to eat and always feel welcome. You can tell they really enjoy their work and function as a great team.

For lunch or dinner, simply make a reservation and enjoy delicious, authentic Italian cuisine.

The reception staff are very helpful — they’ll happily explain which nearby towns are worth visiting and even show everything clearly on Google Maps.

The rooms are cleaned daily to perfection by two super friendly housekeepers who are always ready to help.

The location is fantastic — within 15 minutes by car, you can reach beautiful villages.
All in all, an amazing hotel and truly a place I would highly recommend!

THE AMAZING LOCATION THE VIEWS OF THE MOUNTAINS AND VALLEYS AND AMAZING POOL (WE DID NOT GET TO USE IT BECAUSE DUE TO THE TEMPERATURE BEING IN THE 60'S) THE RESTAURANT WHICH IS THE NEXT TO THE HOTEL WAS GREAT !!!

This hotel is such a hidden gem and we're so thankful we found it! We found this at the last minute as we had to switch rooms from another hotel and we could not believe our luck. Not only is this hotel a hidden oasis in the charming sitting of San Quirico d'Orcia, the staff is also incredibly helpful and kind. Marco even helped us upgrade our room. We love this hotel and would absolutely stay here again.

The hotel is excellent and our room was very comfortable , clean and traditional. The service of hotel staff was faultless and very impressive from check in to check out. The food options in the village are limited and we found it a bit more expensive than other places. The breakfast was okay and they provide many options. Thank you for having us

Revisiting was a great idea
Tuscany in April and September is two different things but Hotel Palazzo del Capitano was the same. Revisiting this beautiful and cozy hotel was just as nice the second time. The room, the garden, the service, the food - all excellent

I’ve traveled a lot over the past 20 years, 28 countries in total and I’ve never experienced service as amazing as this. From Ivan to Marianna, excellence was the common denominator. I was truly impressed by the class and luxury you get when staying here. Trust me, you cannot miss this place.

Staff was very helpful. The location is very convenient. Lovely garden with small pool. Restaurant is lovely and has very good breakfast. Only complaint is that after booking first night via Booking.com, I booked 2nd night directly with hotel and received higher rate than if I had booked again via booking.com.

This is a great hotel….The hotel is old,but clean and fresh. The staff are very professional and friendly. The Rooms are well appointed quiet,and cleanThe garden area is beautiful,and the pool is nice..And to top it off minibar prices are reasonable ! 3 E u for a beer. The restaurant looks good,but we only ate there for breakfast. As with a lot of these hotels, there are steps and no elevator, but the staff would help if you needed it. This is one of the nicest hotels i have ever stayed at. There may be larger, more modern or even more luxurious hotels, and there will be cheaper hotels, but this hotel is perfect for tuscany. Our room 2nd floor main building .
