Sadly…. That’s about it. The staff… I saw to patrons having to move out of the way of to waiters.
They never cleared the table of the wine glasses.
We asked for 2 soft drinks. One of the staff members planted both bottles on the table and took off. We had to finish the water we had in order to use them for the soft drinks. I asked for a glass of ice. I got a small bucket 10 mins later.
When I asked for the bill, as I clearly don’t speak Italian the waiters made some comments and laughed.
We were missing a serving of fries which never came. Over all the worst service so far in Italy.
The one star is for the decent but overpriced pizza. The service was not worthy of any stars. Waiters pick and choose which customers get the "amazing" sea-view window seat, leaving the rest of the customers snubbed and moved elsewhere with little personal space. After we declined the overpriced water for the third time, the waiters were no longer courteous and seemed disinterested in serving us. This seemed to be the case for multiple tables.
The food arrived promptly and was of reasonable quality however, we felt unwanted in the restaurant at this point and a server even began to remove the plates before we could even finish. We feel the restaurant didn't warrant an 8€ service charge for two 10€ margarita pizzas with no drinks, considering the lack of quality SERVICE.
Overall, a very uncomfortable experience created by the waiters alone. For an island so famous for their lemons, the waiters sure took it very seriously with their bitter and sour attitude.
The staff is extremely rude,
One of them kept asking if we want water and when i said "No sir thanks" he bumbled something in Italian i think he was cursing us 😒, and also he was standing close to us and kept staring at us like a total creep!
We ordered two pastas with tomato sauce!
The portions were too small and too salty!
We ended up paying 55 Euros 😂😂
They charge you for something you didn't order!
So baad DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME ANS MONEY
The cover charge was €4 each, the highest so far on our trip. No tip was asked for but we did hear waiters ask for tips from other diners. So with a cover charge of €8 for two plus a tip that can add up to a good few euros before you pay for what's in front of you and it kind of takes the edge off your meal.
If the service was great you might not feel quite so, well not ripped off, but like you've overpaid.
I'm sure it's standard on Capri, where it really does feel like they want to extract every last single euro out of the tourists, a sentiment echoed by other diners whom we spoke to.
