An absolute horrific experience with false advertising regarding breakfast and an absolute nightmare regarding the actual room which is in a converted apartment! The breakfast choice is for you to go and buy at the shops and if you’re desperate, you can return to the very dirty communal kitchen and eat it in there! And then you have the not so clean room with broken electrical sockets including in the horrific bathroom which has some modifications made to the toilet which makes a sound every 20 minutes when not using any water and constant terrible drainage sound when using either the sink or the toilet or the pathetic shower which also leaks water all over the floor and then to tip it all off you an air conditioner which leaks onto the wall light every 30 seconds and then an air conditioner on the balcony which leaks water too Horrific and ghastly experience hence leaving after one day and finding an alternative accommodation This so called accommodation should never be advertised

I have stayed in several places in Rome, but this one felt the most like home. Danilo was very accessible before our trip, even looking up tour reservation availability for us. We traveled from Vernazza and arrived hungry at the wrong part of the day for restaurants and Danilo bought us suppli for a snack. He met us for an extended check-in and orientation with lots of local recommendations. He also arranged a driver for our airport transfer at the end. There are 4 rooms. We had the only one with an external bathroom, but it was private and had a good shower. The room was large with a courtyard balcony. There was an open kitchen with plentiful supplies for making coffee, breakfast and snacks. There was an electric kettle that stopped working and Danilo replaced it the same day. This was my first time staying in Trastevere. I was afraid we would be too far away from the center, but it was great. I usually walk or use public transportation, but even taxis were reasonable and just a block away. I would happily stay at Danilo's again.

We stayed for 4 nights in June. A kinder soul than Danilo you will not meet! He greeted us at check-in with snacks and coffee and even ran down to a nearby restaurant to get us something more substantial to eat after a long travel day. The BB is perfectly located in the heart of Trastevere with easy access to everything you will want to do. We walked to almost everything in the city, with the exception of a bus from the train station to the hotel. Danilo was kind to offer his insights and suggestions about things to do and places to see. He is very proud to be a Roman and offered valuable information that only a local would know. He sat down with us and got out a map to show us around the city. We stayed in the largest room and the bed was comfortable and we slept well. The plumbing in the bathroom was noisy and leaking during our stay. When I mentioned it to Danilo he told me the entire bathroom was set to be remodeled the following week. He has since sent me photos of the new upgraded bathroom. It is an old building but he is slowly upgrading and modernizing it. There is a kitchen stocked with snacks, breakfast items, a coffee maker and hot water dispenser. I will most definitely be checking in to Danilo’s on my next visit to Rome. A very affordable option in a perfect location with a very caring and thoughtful owner. By the time we left it felt like he was a longtime friend.

I would recommend staying at BB Danilo if you are visiting Rome. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted warmly by the charismatic host, Danilo. His genuine hospitality and friendly demeanor immediately made me feel at home. He went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable, offering valuable insights into the best local spots and activities that only a knowledgeable local could know. The accommodations at BB Danilo was authentic. The room I stayed in was impeccably clean and exuded a delightful rustic charm with a private bathroom and balcony. Be sure you specify if you'd like a private "in room" bathroom, as I am not sure if all rooms have one. Breakfast was available each day for your own taking. It included sliced meats and cheeses, cereals, yogurts, breads and pastry and was enough to start our day. The location of BB Danilo couldn't have been better. Situated in the heart of Trastevere, it allowed easy access to all of the popular sites. We were able to easily walk to most areas, especially to the vibrant cafes and streets in Trastevere. Danilo's recommendations for local restaurants and off-the-beaten-path attractions were spot-on, adding an extra layer of authenticity. I truly felt like I was experiencing the city as a local, thanks to his insider knowledge. He even introduced us to the delicious street food suppli! I will definitely stay here again in the future.

Thank you Danilo for a very warm and friendly welcoming! Danilos B&B is very well located in Trastevere with walking distance to many nice restaurants and also to the historic centre of Rome. Danilo him self told us he loves his ”job” running the B&B, and you could tell. Nice, tidy and with a small little kitchen were we picked up our breakfast and then ate at our balcony. We definitely recommend a stay here if you are looking for a charming B&B in Rome/Trastevere.

Firstly we arrived at Danilo’s late at night and he was very accommodating while we got inside he talked us through everything over the phone. The room was really nice and clean, the mattress was really comfortable and upon request I got a 2nd pillow, the bathroom facilities were good, after reading some other reviews I was apprehensive about the noise from the pipes however they were not bad two or three “whoosh” sounds and that was it so I found it fine!! There is noise outside however, due to the location being in a city so it’s to be expected, bring earplugs if that bothers you it’s a very easy fix. The location was really spectacular we were in perfect walking distance from everything! Danilo was such a perfect host we met him in the afternoon of our first day and he drew us out a map of everywhere to go, what to see and where we would find some great food, he also told us where not to go and I found that as two young women traveling alone we were very grateful that we had someone that cared to look out for us that way! I would undoubtedly stay here again and I will recommend this place to everyone who asks where to stay in Rome!!

Clean, friendly service. Rates were pretty good. Not many amenities, but decent if you are just looking for a place to sleep and keep your belongings.
