Our first night so hard to say! The apartment itself is spot on so far! Lovely lady checked us in and it seems fab :)

Stayed here for 4 days in June 2016. Excellent location for all the sites around Rome. My tip is to take the tram and bus nearby to get around town. Great restaurants in the area.

Apartment was excellent for our family of two adults and two children. The only issue we had was with the gas hob where the main burner didn't work. Apart from that the rooms were fine and the air con was a godsend coming home from outside.

Great location but...
We were greeted by the cleaner who took us into our unclean apartment. There were still towels on the ground from previous visitors. We have now been staying here for 4 days and our apartment hasn't been cleaned once! when i return to Rome, its not a place i ll be staying at again. Sorry

We arrived from the airport late Saturday evening, and were very hungry. The other restaurants in the square did not even look at us when we asked for a table, while La Gensola welcomed us with a smile and open arms. Very pleasant welcome, indeed. We got a table outside, and had a long-awaited meal. All the food courses were good!

This is my second time staying at the La Gensola Apartments in Trastevere Rome. Absolutely love the location. Gorgeous restaurants and so many to choose from. Plenty of shopping options. A general convenience store a 2 min walk away. Easy walk to the colosseum, Trevie Fountain , Cathedrals and the Centre of Rome for great shopping. Lorenzo is exceptional with arranging pick up driver, to take you to the airport etc Highly recommend this accommodation. My only fault is the hairdryer …… not good in our apartment. Be aware. If staying in apartment 3 or 4 you do need to carry your suitcase up a steep flight of stairs. No lifts.

An excellent restaurant at the beginning of Trastevere, good starter with fried foods and black cabbage with potatoes and egg, then typical carbonara and amatriciana dishes. Very friendly staff, generous wine list but not for everyone. the only flaw is they ask you to pay for the basket of bread (4 euros) for this one point less......recommended anyway.

Location is fantastic, especially if you're interested in the trendy Trastevere nightlife. The apartment itself was a good size but a little disjointed to navigate. Details cost the points: The shower was not great and there wasn't enough soap provided, and the television signal was poor. The host was communicative.
