ibis Styles Roma Vintage Hotel in Rome

Summary of a school trip: mold in many rooms, in the bathrooms as well as the sleeping areas. Windows fell out of the hinges. Some doors to the rooms didn't lock properly. The AC malfunctioned regularly in some rooms. We've also had ants and cockroaches in our rooms. The breakfast was acceptable. Literal heaps of junk outside of the hotel all over the parking lot. 2 stars for the service because the cleaning staff was really nice and cleaned the rooms every day to our satisfaction.

In short: don't come here. This is a health and safety risk. You are better off elsewhere.

I don't recommend this hotel for a couple reasons.
First one is stuff in apartment, hairdryer isn't working properly it's old and dangerous, also there's no kettle and the only thing that there's good it has standart item for self cleaning.
Second one is its look, it supposed to be vintage but there's just old house with some new furniture and colours.
I still can name something good about it. At least it's placement is near to metro station and you can seat in empty metro, also personal is fine they provide me with an adapter and while our group was in city they cleaned a dump and a whole room. Also near this hotel is McDonald's and other restaurants.
But negative about this hotel is a lot and also there's a lot robbers near this hotel that robbed our bus,but maybe it's not hotel fault but just in case. So i don't reccomend this for anyone who wants a good feeling about Rome.

I cannot find much positive to say about this hotel. It is described as “vintage”, however this appears to be used as a cover for an old building that has not been properly renovated. The property suffers from constant noise, poor functionality, and basic issues such as toilets that do not flush properly.

The first room I was given did not have a working air conditioning unit. I was then moved to another room with constant loud noise, making it impossible to sleep. I requested a further room change the following day. I was told by their Maintenace that this room was located directly above restaurant fans. It is unacceptable that such a room is offered to guests at all.

I questioned why I was repeatedly placed in unsuitable rooms when standard rooms were available. The receptionist was unprofessional, dismissive, and rude in his manner and I believe that I was respectful and polite with my tone.

I was eventually moved again. The bathrooms also had visible mould, which is unhygienic and unacceptable.

Overall, I cannot understand how this hotel is rated as a four star property. The location is also very poor. It is far from the city centre and travelling by public transport takes close to an hour, requiring both a bus and a train to get to the central station (Termini). The neighbourhood also looked quite rough.

This hotel actually negatively impacted my trip to Rome.

Horrible hotel, when we first got there the bath tub and the toilet had pieces of hair on them, we called for someone to clean it. The person they sent spent 10 minutes just looking at the bathroom and he said he will clean it but came back with a towel and some water. He tried to clean everywhere with the same towel. The room was generally dirty, there were mold on the walls, because of the drainage system the room stank. Breakfast was not at all fulfilling.
