Hotel Riviera

We stayed at the hotel for 10 days with TUI in august 2019 and absolutely fell in love with the whole place. The breakfast was fantastic, the first time we went up, I was just expecting some bread, cheese, ham, cereal, maybe some fruit and some coffee, but you got so much variety and something i will say is; they never let anything run out. If something was particularly popular and there was like two or three left they would restock it immediately, they also were always on hand, cleaning the used tables and making sure everything was perfect, which it was. The views were also stunning and it was a beautiful place to sit and start the day off right. At breakfast you decide what you want for your evening meal, you choose between 3 first courses 3 second courses and 2/3 desserts (there is also a salad bar that always has the basics but also some new options each night). I always found it very exciting finding what you could have. The evening meal took place on the ground floor in what some would find a slightly outdated room but i found very very clean and comfortable. The tables were set beautifully and the staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. The food was exquisite and I got to try so many new delicious foods. The chef is truly a genius and every night I felt spoiled by the scrumptious meals they created. Couldn’t ask for any more really. At first we were in a standard room on the first floor which was quite outdated and the facilities weren’t great (hair-dryer and the shower) but it was so so clean and so were the towels, i can’t fault there cleanliness. Later on in the holiday we were upgraded to a lake-view superior room on the 3rd floor which was modern, simplistic, comfy, clean and had a beautiful view, the shower was also heavenly and the bathroom was really well done. If your coming i recommend spending a bit more and getting one of the renovated rooms, it’s worth it. The pool is so clean and the facilities are very good, the hot tub is also an amazing amenity i didn’t know i needed. They have a mini fridge down at the pool with drinks you can take, write down what you have taken and pay at the end of your holiday. The hotel also has a gym which is okay for very basic stuff but could use some improvement but we didn’t really come here to work out so it didn’t really bother us. They also have a spa room with a sauna, jacuzzi and turkish bath/steam room which costs 10€ per person for 1.5 hours which we did and enjoyed it thoroughly, again all the facilities were spotless. The attention to detail throughout the hotel is second to none. The positing of the hotel is on the edge of riva del garda and is a reasonably short walk to torbole, a neighbouring town, and a 10 min walk to shops and 30-40 min walk (depending on your speed) into the centre of riva. Although the hotel is on a road I never once thought it was too busy or anything like that. The stunning, tranquil scenery cancels it out. We visited all the towns on the lake and Riva was by far my favourite one. I would like to mention that the staff could not be more helpful and welcoming, they never made any of your problems seem too big or unwarranted, they truly cared and wanted you to have the best holiday you could have. They went above and beyond to meet your needs and make your stay enjoyable and relaxing, for example; I personally don’t like mushrooms and neither does my brother so we put a note on the menu and they didn’t put mushrooms on the dish, at breakfast the waitresses offered to move the tables each morning depending on whether we wanted to sit inside or out on the terrace and on the last day the lovely man made us a pack up to take to the airport because we had an early flight so couldn’t have breakfast. That just shows that aren’t just a 5* hotel they are 5* people and care for every one of their guests. We had an amazing holiday and will definitely return!!!

Very Friendly and pleasant staff. I have Coeliacs and they cater extremely well. Within 10 min walk to centre and 20 mins from Torbole. Beautiful
