Price/quality really low.
A part from the toilet seat broken and the missing lid of it, from the black bottom edge of the shower curtain, the missing light bulb of the light next to the bed, the thing that most ruin the quality was the noisy bed, the headboard wasn't fixed and as soon as you try to move the bed was making so much noise, which ruined my sleep.
We had the possibility to choose between economy and premium and they explained the difference was 10 euro for bigger size room and a bidet. For one night we chose the economy for 70 euros but we got a room absolutely not worth it, way overpriced. Nobody was present at the checkout so we couldn't complain to the management.
Breakfast and service at the breakfast was very nice.

Hidden gem
I would like to start this review saying that is my fourth time in Italy and this time I am spending over two weeks here. I have been in 3 starts and 4 starts hotels that I didn’t feel this much comfortable and well served. Everything from the beginning to the very end was perfect. Best in class in service, politeness, kindness, great bed sheets, spacious bedroom, and a speechless breakfast. Everything was fresh made for every customer one by one. Also, the pastries come from the owners bakery and OMG! They taste amazing. I will make sure I recommend this hotel for everyone and for sure I will come back too.

Prenotato camera a febbraio vista di persona letto matrimoniale singolo x bambini con terrazzino. Arrivati, scaricati bagagli, atteso che la camera fosse pronta, SORPRESA LA CAMERA NON C'ERA PIÙ FATE VOI, io non darei nemmeno una stella ADESSO SIAMO A SOFFRIRE A FIRENZE Booked room in February seen in person double bed single for children with terrace. Arrived, unloaded luggage, waited for the room to be ready, SURPRISE THE ROOM WASN'T THERE ANYMORE DO IT YOURSELF, I wouldn't even give one star NOW WE ARE SUFFERING IN FLORENCE

Shower drain clogged; hard, noisy and old bed, worn out bedsheet, toilet seat almost broken.
Not worth the money. I appreciate old school hotels but camping would have been more comfortable

Apart from the kindness and professionalism of the staff, which I really appreciated, and the bathroom linen changed every day, the conditions of the room were poor. We didn't expect a 4-star service, but at least that many details were taken care of in a decent manner. In the room there was no curtain on the window, the bed creaked so much that I couldn't rest at night; in the bathroom there was no soap dish in the shower, the toilet seat was unstable and without the lid, with the risk that something could fall into the toilet. To complete the picture, on the last morning of our stay there was no hot water in the bathroom and we couldn't take a shower.

Third time I've been back, diverted from my usual hotel due to lack of space, after a recommendation to reserve a good room. The first time they gave me a ridiculous room, with a bathroom 2 meters high and a sink positioned in front of the shower with no more than 15 cm of space (I had to wash my face and teeth leaning on the bidet); very cold room with rotten wooden windows, without double glazing; bed with Punic wars mattress and air conditioning that didn't heat the room enough. I slept with the jacket on. Walls peeling and moldy that not even abandoned farmhouses can compare to. The last time was a room with an antediluvian entrance door that doesn't even soundproof the buzz of a fly, floor tiles that rise and in the bathroom a riot of limestone everywhere. Questionable cleanliness of the rooms and TV that doesn't work, naturally I have to go down to reception to be informed, no one to at least notify you at check-in and apologize for the inconvenience (for a person traveling for work it sometimes represents the only company) . Staff without any empathy. I preferred to sleep in the car.

The hotel is pleasant, excellent breakfast, helpful staff, unfortunately the room assigned to us was not welcoming at all, it lacks shelves in the bathroom and to place the essentials for hygiene we had to put everything on the floor. The room has no curtains, the television has never worked and when we pointed this out we were told that if it doesn't work there's nothing I can do about it. Only one bedside table had a lamp, the socket in the bathroom was at such a height that you had to climb onto the bidet to use it. The entrance door to the room probably has a 19th century key and is not very secure, so we didn't leave anything of value like the camera because we weren't sure we'd find it again. We frankly do not recommend this hotel.

We were guests for three nights in this hotel which seems more like a three star than a two. Everyone was very kind, the cleanliness was excellent. I would give special praise to the lady who manages the breakfasts because she has the patience of an elephant. We witnessed how he was able to handle truly hateful and impertinent people with his sweetness. The only flaw is the lack of parking which in Castiglioncello represents a real problem for non-residents.

Room with many defects broken toilet seat clogged sink with no shelves the TV couldn't be seen the phone worked at times rating 10 x the breakfast high quality pastry friendly staff however I wouldn't go back all in an area with paid parking 24 hours a day
