Agriturismo Cantagalli in San Quirico d'Orcia

We spent wonderful days at Agriturismo Cantagalli, excellent accommodation in a quiet place with a beautiful view of the city of San Quirino D'Orcia. Well located for exploring the region, Pienza, Montepulciano, Montaltino. Mr. Riccardo is extremely attentive and courteous, and uses technology to speak several languages.

Located in the center of charming villages and unique landscapes. The agriturismo has a rustic, country atmosphere, but the amenities are complete. Furthermore, the peace and quiet are remarkable. Unfortunately, the road is partly unpaved and dusty, making it dirty for the car.

Nice appartement. The rooms were clean, and spacious. You have a nice view and San Quirico d'Orcia is near. Ac worked well...very appreciated in july! Having two complete bathroom was a treat!

A magical place.
A truly wonderful place, quiet, and comfortable in the apartment, beyond our expectations.
Everything you need is there, including a small welcome breakfast kit.

The road is a bit bumpy (and unpaved), but it's part of the landscape.

We'll definitely be back!

Wonderful experience! A real 10/10.

Our holidays are all about experiences and that includes not only the physical environment but also about the people we are fortunate enough to meet along the way. So our experience was wonderful! Our rankings for the Agriturismo are all 10/10 for the physical amenities and also for the great hosting.

My group was a party of two experienced 60 year brothers staying 10 days in Tuscany in November 2018. Four of them at this Agriturismo.

The building is a large bungalow style divided into 3 units. One a 3 bedroom, one a two bedroom and one a one bedroom. It is in the middle of a small olive grove. The views are to the north and to the west. Lots of great light.

The two bedroom apartment, the Forcella, we had was well appointed, exceptionally clean and very comfortable and welcoming. All the rooms were well sized.

The living room had two love seats surrounding a modern fireplace. The love seats were comfortable and cosy. There was a TV with multiple channels available.

The kitchen was generous by European standards with a dishwasher and a gas range. The cabinets were clean and in good condition. There were lots of cleaning supplies under the sink.

A Fridge and small freezer unit completed the L-shaped room. There was a full complement of table dishes and cutlery for both the table and cooking. There was also a generous assortment of cooking pots and pans, a microwave and an electric tea kettle. All in excellent condition.

Fabiana had thoughtfully provided coffee, two boxes of teas, a selection of cooking supplies like salt and pepper and olive oil. She also had a welcoming surprise of a huge container with an assortment of packaged pastries/bread products for us to eat.

The nook and table was well sized and the chairs were solid.

All the rooms had their own AC/heaters, individually controlled with easy to use controls.

The bathroom was clean and comfortable with a good sized sink, a toilet, a bidet and the shower . It was great that they had a shower that kept the water inside the shower, instead of all over the floor.

Even though there was only two of us, they had 4 color sets of 3 towels.

Both bedrooms had good solid beds with good mattresses and good blankets, which in November, is good to have. Each bedroom was well proportioned, the East one was a little bigger. Nice big windows opening onto the olive grove with vistas beyond.

I loved the carefully ironed bed sheets. It shows the care and attention to detail of Fabiana.

Parking was easy and convenient. There was a table and chairs outside the front door in the lanai that would have been great to sit under in Spring, summer or Fall.

The town is 1.5km away. You could easily walk as it is graveled and is lightly traveled.

The town is attractive and there is a good sized COOP for groceries and of course restaurants etc.

They have a real gem in Fabiana. She is a ball of energy. She came back to the Agriturismo on the Saturday night to welcome us at 6:30 and showed us everything. She also has a concierge service that we loved. She advised us on restaurants that fit our budgets and palettes. Made recommendations on menu items and even selections of wines that were excellent at great prices. She advised us on touring routes by car. We were interested in wine tasting and she made excellent recommendations for us. You couldn’t ask for a more attentive hostess even without the concierge service, she gets a 10/10.

I have been in Tuscany four times. This valley is just a picture postcard of what you imagine Tuscany is. The Agriturismo is excellent, book it! I going back there.

This farmhouse is perfect for its location, not far from any village you want to go to.
The cleanliness is impeccable and the house where I was was equipped with everything! The owner is very kind and helpful and his oil (for sale) really great.
I will definitely come back!

A beautiful and peaceful location where you can view all 3 towns of Montepulciano, Montalcino, San Quirico d'Orcia. Fabiana and family were generous and welcoming hosts, and provided great recommendations for restaurants and wineries. I can't wait to return
