Pension Fryingpan in Niseko

The main location is very close to the ski resort, which is an excellent choice at this price.
The hotel sells ski tickets at a discount, cooperates with a ski equipment store (with pick-up and drop-off), and has Chinese-speaking staff, which makes communication very convenient. The overall service is also very good.

We stayed at Fryingpan for 5 nights and it was truly lovely. The shared bathrooms are very clean and the beds were super comfortable. Breakfast every morning was western style but delicious. A very short walk to the Annupurni gondola and lifts. Above all of the wonderful accommodations were the lovely people and staff we met while staying there. I cannot say enough good things about the hospitality and the friends we met while staying there. Amazing place run by wonderful people.

The room is very unique. You must book a 4-person room, which is the kind of loft. There are ********* waiters who are very good at Chinese, English and Japanese👍. The boss is also very nice. It happened to be the peak season and there was a blizzard in Hokkaido, so all the buses to the airport were booked. The boss was very enthusiastic to help us check the bus to the airport, which was very nice. The dinner was also great, and you must book the dinner in advance🥣

When I booked, I was told that it was a public bathroom, so I didn't have much hope. But after entering the hotel, I was pleasantly surprised one after another. Three of the hotel's young ladies can speak Chinese, and we were able to communicate without any obstacles. First, I was shown around the hotel and learned about the public restrooms and toilets on the second floor, which were all very clean and tidy. Our room was on the third floor. It was not big, and we could open two suitcases, as well as a small coffee table and rattan chairs. There was also a bathroom on the third floor. Dinner was ordered in advance and required additional payment. We ordered two sets of chicken and pork. The boss's wife was very skilled, and my child and I ate them very well. The side dish of baked potatoes was also delicious. The child also asked for an extra bowl of rice and ate it all. The breakfast on the second day was served three times, with nuts, milk, toast, eggs, fruits, etc. It was so rich! The ingredients were all fresh and tasted very good. It felt even better than the breakfast at the four-star hotel the day before. Taking a shower on the first floor was not very convenient, but it was also very clean. The proprietress was very kind. She only spoke Japanese. Although we couldn't communicate directly, we had a pleasant communication through the translation of the young lady.

What a good time in a place it is a pleasure to return to every day after skiing. There are plenty of blankets and nice people to get to know. Not many bathtubs, but onsens are a short drive away. Walk a few dozen yards to Annupuri ski field and ski back.

3 minutes walk to annapuri gondola!! and also 7 minutes walk to the bus station, to assess to other ski resorts in Niseko! great location!

An extraordinary experience. A two story room! Cozy hosts, a heated basement for ski equipment, only 4 min walk away from the lifts and ski rental. The only nuisance is that there are only two showers at the bottom and sometimes they are taken. There is a laundry room downstairs with coin laundry. The heater is too intense and partially melted my suitcase…be careful. Otherwise lovely stay.

The food is great - I love the chicken chop and the sirloin steak. Beef stew also pretty good. The bread (served warm) and butter goes so well. Rather walk here than eat at the nook annupuri. It's only a 3 min walk!! So much better. No brainer for me
