This is an older hotel that has not been renovated, so it feels faded and worn. The lobby and elevator have an odor, but the rooms and clean and odor-free. The bedding is plentiful and clean. The hotel was thoughtfully designed and built with attention to detail. There is an artificial waterfall and coy pond outside the lobby. The onsen is the crown jewel and is large and well appointed. It is located on a beautiful canal with walking paths up and down and edged with Sakura trees. There is a 7-11 across the street. (I did not eat in the hotel and can't comment on the food).

I stayed here from February 14th to 15th. It had been over 20 years since my last stay, so it was a really long time, but I was sad that I couldn't use the open-air bath. I called a companion and had a great time, and I would like to stay here again if I have the opportunity. Nakai-san was a very kind person, and he was very considerate of my bad leg, so I really thank him.

The elevator smelled like kerosene? It smelled so bad I wondered if they'd spilled it when they were carrying a kerosene stove...it smelled so bad the whole time.
The hot spring bath was deeper than usual and had a bench inside. It was a shame that we couldn't use the open-air bath.
The hotel as a whole has an old feel, but it wasn't unpleasant. However, there was only one room key per room, which was a bit inconvenient, and we could hear a lot of noise from the next room, so earplugs might be necessary if that bothers you.
I appreciated that the bath was available 24 hours a day. I had heard that no amenities were provided, but there were a variety of disposable pouch cosmetics available in the shop. There was also a hair dryer in the room.
The food was very delicious.

The rooms seem to have been renovated, as they are very clean and have a smart feel.
The elevator smelled strongly of paint, probably because it had been coated with some kind of paint.
Both the indoor and outdoor baths were large and clean, but the women's bath had apparently had a boiler malfunction, so the water was quite lukewarm, at around 35°C.

I use this place several times a year. It's relatively affordable among Isawa Onsen, but they serve proper kaiseki cuisine, not a buffet. I always come here in the summer. I love the warm water of the open-air bath here. From the room, you can see a garden with beautiful greenery, a waterfall and a pond. The futon is laid out in advance, but the room is still spacious. There is a large rock bath and an open-air bath, and I like the gentle water, so I spend a lot of time in the warm open-air bath. There is lotion and other products in the undressing and washing area. I saw a few people who were just visiting, but the bathroom is spacious so it didn't bother me too much. The indoor bath and the washing and changing area are hot, especially in the summer, so I think they need more ventilation. We had dinner in a large venue, but there were partitions between the tables, so when I sat down, I couldn't see the people at the next table. The kaiseki cuisine is set on almost every table, except for the rice and dessert, and every dish looks beautiful and is delicious. There are so many dishes that I didn't order rice and soup because I couldn't finish it. My partner ordered half a bowl of rice and said, "The soup is delicious, so please have it." We ordered Fuefuki City wine (a corkage fee is required). It was a 1.8L bottle, but it was nicely chilled. The matcha pudding dessert was also delicious. Breakfast was a well-balanced Japanese set meal. We will come again.

I visit this inn several times a year. I think the open-air bath has only been available in the summer for the past few years (?), but when I went this time, steam was rising from the bath, and it was available even in winter. The open-air bath is very spacious, surrounded by rocks, so it feels open and spacious. The indoor bath is also spacious, and the hot water flows in smoothly. My room was a Japanese-style room, and the futons were already laid out. It was on the fifth floor, so the view was great. Almost all the food was prepared, and every dish was delicious. The motsunabe (offal hotpot) in particular was superb. I ordered my own Yamanashi wine (a corkage fee was required), and enjoyed it to my heart's content. The breakfast was also well-balanced. This is a reasonably priced inn in Isawa Onsen, but the hot springs, service, and food were all excellent, and the staff were kind and friendly, so I'll definitely return.

Staff are very nice and friendly and the hot spring is good! Good to experience traditional Japanese room. But just the room looks not clean enough and tatami contains some stain. It looks dark during night time
