The hotel is near the H41 bus stop; it's a short uphill walk, but only a few minutes away. My stay at the Yamasato Kusaoka hotel was truly wonderful. The facilities were exquisite, the onsen (hot spring) was fantastic, and the food was excellent.

It's the most, most, most satisfying hot spring hotel I've ever stayed at. Fukuchi Onsen has a very quiet and elegant atmosphere, and the mountainside accommodations are cozy and secluded. The private hot spring baths are also very large, and the outdoor hot spring scenery is fantastic.

The room was nice, with a pleasant wood smell. There was a Chinese-speaking staff member who was very helpful. Take the Nohi Bus to HO41 station (see picture below), it's a three-minute walk. The scenery was beautiful; it was raining when we went, making for a pleasant walk.

Amazing stay in Iori Takayama, it is very easy to access it, via the lounge first and then the check in in the house, Shingo was a great host indeed. The 100 year old Machiya is really well preserved and makes you feel in the traditional Japan and it has some modern touched that makes the stay perfect. It was a great traditional experience, right in the middle of the old town, close to restaurants and the morning market. The rooms were big and beautiful, but the stairs were quite steep. The hot tub and the bathroom were great. There are not a lot of kitchen amenities, but a lot of complimentary snacks and drinks. The service was impeccable.
