The hotel has a very Japanese vibe. The room was quite spacious, a mix of Japanese and Western styles. In the evening, there was sake available, which created a wonderful atmosphere. The staff were all very nice, and the location was excellent, right next to the old town.

This might be the first time I've stayed at a hotel that blends Japanese and Western styles so perfectly. The room wasn't small, and the size of the beds, the space between them, and the bedding all offered a high degree of comfort and convenience. I specifically came to see the Takayama Festival this time, and coincidentally, there were several floats parked right outside the hotel entrance for everyone...

They have a pub with live music in the evening, which is a nice touch. The rooms are pretty standard but have a certain quality to them. I'd recommend it for travelers who have specific expectations for their accommodation.

A great place to relax with an onsen, close to tourist attractions. Very convenient with everything you need. The service was excellent. I'll definitely be back to stay again.

Nice stay walking distance to many areas

Me and my fiance stayed for 2 nights. We did not bring our dogs, but enjoyed the stay very much! Both the breakfast buffet and the dinner was tasty and varied. The private onsen was also nice and the staff were very friendly to us. We took the bus for hiking, which was no problem Would definitely recommend for any dog lovers!

We took japanese style bedroom but the futons were super thin so uncomfortable. The private onsen was a bit smelly making the experience less enjoyable. It's a comfortable environment where only dog ​​lovers gather, and we are very satisfied with the attentive staff. My room was spacious and spotless. My window looked out toward the beautiful Japanese Alps, nice to wake up to! I would highly recommend booking the meal plans for both dinners and breakfasts... the inn is a bit of a walk from town (very do-able), but it was so nice to eat right there, and the meals were just fantastic! A charming place to stay just outside Takayama. We thoroughly enjoyed our peaceful stay.

The staff were incredibly friendly and always smiling. The place was spotless, and we appreciated that yukata were provided for everyone to wear to the baths. No private showers were available (they're currently under renovation), but the onsens were absolutely fantastic and separated for men and women. Unbeatable value for money! 😉

Hotel is located very near the train station and bus terminal. Takayama is a small town and accessible by foot. The old town and places of interest are within walking distance from the hotel.

Less than a 5-minute walk from the train and bus stations. Be aware that the hotel sign displays the English name, not the Chinese name as translated on the booking. The room was clean and well-equipped, just as expected.

Charming ryokan in north Takayama a good walk from the old town area. Our room had a private courtyard with onsen - great for relaxing at the end of a day of exploring. Several restaurants - we ate breakfast there. Remember to take your shoes off in the entry and use the slippers!

The hotel is located in the Takayama area and is a standard Japanese hotel. , The hotel has a batch of koi fish, which are amazingly expensive. The hotel looks very traditional outside but it is renovated to contemporary style inside. Rooms are bit small in size but ok for a night stay. There is a convenience store just opposite which works 24 hrs. So you can get anything you need .

The hotel is far from central area of Takayama. If you are going for ski it’s good to stay there. No restaurants around. Staffs were so good. And rooms are also clean. If you ignore the location rests are good. You can have the welcome drink from 5 pm to 7pm. It would be good if we can have it while checking in. So we couldn’t have it. The hotel is good, but it might be a bit far from the city center, so having a car is a must. The service is great, and there's free parking. The staff are very helpful. In the evenings, they offer free beer, and you can also choose between free ramen or ice cream.

Very very warm and friendly staffs!! Definitely one of the cleanest and best maintained hotel I have visited, and worths a second visit next time. Just a 10 mins short walk and you can reach all popular attractions in Takayama including the Old Street.

We went as a group and we loved the ryokan. It was very spacious, everything was very clean, and it was conveniently located near the bus station, the train station, and the city center where most of the shopping takes place. The rooms were the most spacious we stayed in throughout Japan, and the staff were all very kind. I would definitely stay here again.
