Very bad service hotel. This hotel didnt allow us to stau 1 room with our 2 small kids. I booked 1 room with 2 single bed but the reception forced us to book 1 another room. I will not stay there anymore ! Another hotel allowed us stay 1 room with 2 our kids but not this hotel! The hotel was very bad smell and dirty . Bye
The hotel wasn't very clean; it was quite dirty and messy, with stains on the walls. There was a smell of smoke in the lobby, and the room had an odor. The bed was also rather narrow. The good thing is that it's close to the train station and opposite Aeon Mall, making shopping convenient.
The restaurant is located directly opposite Aeon Mall, making it convenient for dining and daily grocery shopping. It's within walking distance and highly recommended for tourists visiting the Sanyo and San'in regions.
This hotel is in a great location, close to the train station and shopping area. The hotel has all the basics needed for a short stay in Okayama. The rooms are a little tired but overall fine for a short stay.
The location is close to the station and there are shopping centers and marts nearby, so it's good. However, the hotel is old and more dirty than that. It feels like a cheap motel in Korea. The bathroom smells moldy and there are a lot of mold stains on the shower curtain. I understand that the room is small, but the hotel smells as soon as you enter...
The location is super convenient, opposite the large aeon mall, but the room is a bit old and parking at the door is a bit inconvenient. The cooperative parking lot is at the back, 1000 yen per night

Great! It’s pur 2nd time to stay here. Convenient location from Kochi station.
I got sick in the middle of the night after eating dinner, and it was food poisoning... If it had been just me, I would have thought it was a misunderstanding, but my family got sick too, so I'm sure it was the case. In the restaurant? The dishes for the next day's breakfast were lined up on the middle table with a tablecloth on top, and the food was not tasty. The hotel itself was fine, so next time...
The room was very spacious and comfortable. There was a large public bath so I was able to relax. However, it was a bit far from the airport so I took a taxi there.
Close to the airport, free 🆓 parking, and great hot springs!
The bath water was good. I wish there was more variety in the food. I booked a room only stay, so I asked for breakfast at the front desk. It was 1200 yen on the website, but the price had gone up to 1500 yen. The humidifier was slimy, so it seemed like it hadn't been cleaned.
There is no airport bus, but you can book a taxi at the front desk. It costs 1,000 yuan per person to share a taxi with other guests, which is very cost-effective, but the time is fixed and you cannot choose it yourself. It is a bit expensive to arrange a car alone at 2,000 yuan.

Just right in front of the JR train and bus station, very convenient, room is normal.
small room..smoking floor. bf is ok
Excellent hotel a very short walk from the JR station. There is an onsen (Ranpu no Yu) 5min walk from the hotel. Compact room but everything you need in there. Great base from which to explore the city and the bus to Izumo Taisha is right there at the JR/bus station making it super convenient.
Location nearby train station. Many isakaya eateries nearby.
The location is excellent, right across from Izumo Station. They also offer affordable rates during the "God is in the Moon" period. Even the smoking rooms are smoke-free. The only downside was that I found some clothes I'd left in the room after checking out, but the hotel said they couldn't find them after I asked twice. :(
This is probably the best hotel chain (affordable) in Japan. Toyoko Inn's service is incredible. They provided assistance to the nearest car park , as well as provide free parking for guests (if you are early). The free breakfast at the hotel is restaruant level! Highly reccomended! Whenever you see Toyoko Inn, just book it. Nothing will go wrong.

quiet a distance from the jr station. beside the canal. nice lights at night. restaurants short walk away.
Central Hotel Okayama is within walking distance of Okayama Station and close to the Tamachi tram stop, making it an extremely convenient base for sightseeing and business. Popular tourist destinations like Okayama Castle and Korakuen Garden are easily accessible, and there are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby. The hotel offers reasonable accommodation rates, high-quality service...
The front desk staff was very polite and diligently answered questions. The room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel's attached parking lot was convenient, though the driveway was narrow.
The location is a little far from the station, but not impossible to walk to. It's close to the downtown area and the surrounding area is nice. Above all, the service is good and the staff are very warm. I'd like to use it again if I have the opportunity.
I always stay here when I'm in Okayama. It's conveniently located near the entertainment district. I wish the amenities were a little better.
Quiet and clean room. Free coffee at the lobby. Good dinmer foods at the restaurant.

There is entertainment on the 1st floor for children. (Video game center). So, it will be good place to stay for family with young children. Fairly well Onsen and neat hotel room. Ocean view from hotel was nice. Hotel buffet foods were very good. There were many group tourists on weekend.
An old onsen (hot spa) hotel located near the beach. Price was reasonable considering the facility. You can choose your favorite Yukata (Japanese style Pajamas) from 6 different colors and wear it during your stay. There are 2 onsen for either gents and ladies, and will be switched from evening to morning, which means it is worthy to take bath twice to enjoy the both. Rooms are Japanese style Tatami...
Staff with excellent service, the hotel is not very new, the toilet in room is small, no bath room in the room. All customers have to use publuc hot spring bath room. The decoration is good. Another lovely facility is outdoor hot spring foot bath which facing the ocean, it was romantic to sit down with my 💘 Dinner and Breakfast buffet are yummy.
The room was clean and well organised before we are arrived. The staff are professional and nice, though their English is not very good.
Chices of Dinners & breakfasts were just sufficient, quality was on okay level, not spectacular; hotel location is superb; unfortunately, staff training was needed & necessary, especially room cleaning services.

The rooms need some updating It was clean though ! The breakfast area was grand and had a nice view There was a public bath too so that was much appreciated Free parking provided!! Stayed here to visit Kojima Jeans Street
The shipyard tour is free and a great deal. It's the best location for BBQ. (Reservation required) It's inconvenient from Kojima Station, but if you negotiate with the hotel, they may provide a shuttle, so please consult with them.
Everything was good! I really will definitely go. You can also tour the owner's shipyard! They will pick you up right away at Kojima Station and drop you off. All-you-can-drink welcome drinks are also available. It's the best! It was so bad that I didn't want to go home!
U get a beautiful view of the sea and the dockyard from the hotel..
Very nice and the service is awesome!!!
Dated facilities, but friendly and helpful staff. Location is not great but nice if you like seeing shipyards. Nice bbq and on site pool, but not much else to do.

It seems the rooms were recently upgraded with a huge screen mirror at the wash room, a second screen in the bathroom, and a third smart TV. IF the first floor doesn’t smell cigarette, I’ll give it a give-star rating.
This hotel was an amazing surprise. Even though it’s listed as “Adults Only”, the place has nothing “kinky” or unusual about it —just a clean, spacious, and incredibly comfortable stay. It ended up being the best hotel of my entire trip in Japan. The room was spotless and huge, with a great bathroom, a jacuzzi tub, and multiple TVs —including one facing the tub and another built into the bathroom...
Most of these reviews are for the old hotel. Hotel LOTUS is amazing and one of my favorite hotels in Japan. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. This is the only place I would stay in Okayama. Love it! Thank you for a great stay!

What a wonderful stay, this location is off the beaten path for foreigners but it is such a hidden gem. It had an onsen, free drinks within a time limit, restaurant on premise, a show by performers every night, a beautiful garden and yukatas to borrow. My only regret is that I didn't stay longer. Also while they do offer a shuttle, and bikes to rent, please make sure to inform them so they can be ready...
I really enjoyed it. I was very satisfied with the hot springs and breakfast. The breakfast was especially delicious and I ended up eating too much. The room was clean and had no problems.
Perfect 10 Clean, comfortable, very roomy western beds, breakfast was very delicious and service was best in class. The cultural show was an unique experience. Parking was plentiful and free. The staff gave excellent recommendation for dinner. The property was very elegantly decorated. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely recommend others to choose Hotel Gyokusen. Location is...
It's a very small place. There are few young Japanese people. They are all local middle-aged and elderly people. The hotel staff can hardly speak English, but we can communicate smoothly by gestures. It costs about 50 RMB to take a taxi from the JR station to the hotel. There is no hotel email address when booking through Ctrip. It may also be that the hotel does not have it, so we can't contact the...
This hotel is truly amazing! It was surprisingly comfortable, quiet, and wonderful. Because it was so empty, we even rented out the 8th floor bathroom. There's even a massage chair in the bathroom. It was our first trip with our one-year-old. We were checked in by the gentle manager, and at dinner time, even though there was only one waiter on duty due to various circumstances, he was still considerate and kind to our child. I visited about a year ago with a tour group. The place is old but I had a good stay. The place had almost no other visitors because of the time of year, and was very quiet. The staff was very friendly, although English was not their strong point. The food was very good!
I stayed here only for breakfast. The front desk and staff were polite. The free drinks were great. It would have been nice if there was a bag or basket when going to the large public bath. The bag next to the front desk was only big enough to fit underwear. I had trouble taking towels from the room. I brought them in the bag I brought with me just in case. I think that's necessary if they use one...
It was a comfortable accommodation for foreigners. The building facilities are old, but the hot springs and staff response are excellent for the price.
I used it on a business trip. It was a reasonably priced low 7,000 yen including breakfast, hot springs, spacious rooms, and a highly satisfying experience. Although the exterior is a little dated, the rooms and breakfast area are clean. There is a free coffee and other drinks server next to the front desk.

Felt like going back in time 50 years, air con did not work and the pillows were thinner than flat Stanley.
The price was reasonable. It was very convenient because it was close to the Sea Mall, so I could kill some time, and it was also close to Karato Market and Kaikyokan Aquarium! However, you can hear a lot of noise from the next room, so it might be a problem for some people. The staff were very kind!
Room was fairly small but expected for the price. It seemed they were in a rush to clean up the room, since we found 2 used toothpaste tubes left in the bath and only one pair of slippers. But overall does the job for needing a room on a road trip.
It's very close to the station, so it's convenient. There's a Max Value, department store, Yoshinoya, and other places nearby, so you can easily shop and eat. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I'll use it again. It's also easy to get to the bus that goes to Ganryujima.
Good stay, nice and cheap. Very central location and easy to access everything
This hotel is very convenient because it is close to the train station and a shopping mall. Staff is friendly and can speak in English. Bad side is that the car park is paid (500 yen) and too far away (5 mins walk from hotel).

Clean, next to train station. Very nice touch with the free bar in the evening. A lot of amenities
Because it was a busy time, the only non-smoking twin single room I could reserve was one with a bunk bed. The ladder was vertical and difficult to climb up and down. This hotel is such a gem in a charming city like Fukuyama. The amenities are plentiful, the room is really spacious and comfortable. Extremely refined, excellent experience. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, the resort ensures to provide the utmost hospitality and kindness. The Ryokans and dinner service were both stellar. I would love to have the opportunity to stay here again.
Excellent hotel! Everything was perfect. We booked the suite room and received special sashimi for our dinner in the room. The staff is very nice and professional:) the balcony is very large in the suite room and you can really enjoy this small seaside Japanese town.
Gorgeous property!! Amazing kind souls. Sadly one downside; the mark up on a $10 wine a Chablis from California a 350 ml half bottle is more than ten fold… to over $100. Thought it was a typo!! Don’t order wine in Resturant in evening is the sad message. Amazing kind souls!! Would return… no question. Request your meal preferences well in advance, quiet, huge contrast to large cities. Enjoy!!!

I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for value for money! It's a little far from Okayama Station, but I think it's within a 10-minute tram ride and a 20-minute walk. It's cheap, includes a breakfast buffet and dinner, and the large public bath was also very satisfying. The elevator was old and a little scary.
I used this facility after sightseeing in Korakuen and Okayama Castle. The location was good, the prices were reasonable, and the bathtub was spacious and relaxing. The food was buffet style, which was nice. It was a little disappointing that there was no milk. As it was my first time using this facility, I was unsure about using the parking lot. Overall, it was good and I will use it again.
The tram stop is right in front of the hotel. Although the hotel looks a bit old, it is clean and hygienic. The facilities are complete, and there is a large public bath that is very comfortable. Breakfast and dinner are included, and the salad bar and beverage bar are unlimited. There are both Western and Japanese breakfast options, which can be enjoyed at the same time. The price is very reasonable
The rooms aren't big, but they're enough for a comfortable stay, and they're very close to tourist attractions. It's really cheap for a meal and lodging package. Many Japanese business travelers stay here too; it's always packed during mealtimes.
Good place for staying, and we got breakfast and dinner too

It is located right in front of the ferry terminal connecting Mojiko Port and Karato, so although it is far from Shimonoseki, I think it has very good access to tourist spots.
The hotel is very old fashioned. The room is dated and small.  The staff is not helpful. Honestly, we won’t come back again.
The ocean/sea view from this hotel is MAGNIFICENT & BREATHTAKING! Location is FANTASTIC ... 3 mins walk to karato fish market. I would definitely come back here to stay even tho it is an older hotel & dated. But the rooms are clean & decent. Car park is free. One full day stay is enough as other than the fish market, sadly, the town is quite dead.

Perfect for going out for drinks. There are five bicycles available for free rental. The rooms are small, so if you're traveling with more than two people, it's best to choose a larger room. It's a nice hotel. I use it often.
The hotel was clean, and the hair dryer and shower head were RIFA and very comfortable to use.
