I am very satisfied. The male owner speaks English well. He is a former sailor and is enthusiastic and talkative. The female owner is also very kind. The layout is warm, hygienic and clean, with dry and wet separation. The sound insulation is not good, but the people who checked in on the same day were very gentle, so it was still very quiet. I was given chopsticks with names engraved on them and photos of my stay.

Simply lovely all around. The hospitality starts with the amazing hosts, who welcomed us profusely and even cleaned our luggage wheels to spotless while we were exploring the city (something definitely not included in the room rate...). It continues with the thoughtfully appointed rooms (we stayed in a traditional Japanese style room) and common areas. Laundry is provided on site for 200 JPY per load (washer/dryer separate). We will 100% return to this property if we ever revisit Hakodate.

Pension Jokura was a very convenient and accessible accommodation in the middle of various tourist spots. The owners were very warm and assisted us when we had questions during the trip. I might come back again as the facilities were in tip top condition, the amenities were clean and the tatami mat was nice to sleep in.

My husband and I stayed here in May 2023. We only stayed for a night, but we left a comment because it was such a wonderful inn. The owners were friendly and helpful, and the facilities were top-notch, so we were honestly surprised. It is also possible to walk to various parts of the city, so it is undoubtedly a top-class pension. Next time, we would like to stay with meals included. It is a little far from Tokyo, but we will come again. Thank you to the owners.

We were recommended this place by a friend, and wow, it was amazing! The owners were excellent, so friendly and kind. The house is beautiful, it's clear that a lot of love and hard work has has been put into this super cute B&B. Honestly, this is one of the best places we've stayed.

This is by far the best apartment I've ever stayed, and as a frequent traveler I'm deeply impressed by the hospitality of the host couple who are so friendly and helpful. Their English is good enough, and the breakfast is said to be great although I didn't have the chance to try it myself as I left at 5:30 AM for the earliest train.They even offered a free drive to send us from the apartment to the JR train station!
The room is very clean, relaxing and comfortable. Little noise can be heard, it was very quiet during the night we stayed there.
Overall this is almost a perfect place to stay in Hakodate if you prefer not to stay at big hotels and instead look for apartment operated by local resident. This is the place to go that worths every penny of it.
