Very spacious room, able to open multiple large suitcases. Close to train station and many restaurants and shops. Staff are helpful. Carpark was always full, so had to park at a further carpark although at the same fixed rate.

For a Japanese hotel, the room size was perfectly adequate. The surrounding area is also great for independent travelers. All in all, I was very satisfied.

Had a nice time staying for a week at this hotel. It is close to Sannomiya station with lots of restaurants nearby. It is also within walking distance to key areas such as Chinatown, Kitano etc. The room is cleaned with relatively good breakfast choices. I would recommend this for anyone looking for a hotel close to the station.

Due to a change in plans, I booked this last minute. The hotel is 40 minutes away from Sannomiya subway station, so the travel time cost is quite high. The facilities are a bit old. The staff's attitude was okay.

Beyond amazing in every way. The staff was accommodating and I loved the laundry service that had my shirts pressed for me.

The hotel is conveniently located about a 10-minute walk from Kobe Station, and also close to the shopping street. I specifically came to check it out because Marilyn Monroe is said to have stayed here. Although the hotel is old, it's very well-maintained, which I really liked.

The “sea view” was very disappointing and honestly not what I expected at all when booking this room. What made the experience worse was the pricing issue. After my booking became non-refundable, the hotel price dropped by around 30%, which was shocking. I’ve never had this happen before. The explanation that the lower price was a different non-refundable rate doesn’t fully justify such a big drop...

Location was ok, it was a bit further walk from the station, near a shrine and if you walk 8-10 mins there’s lots of shops. The hotel had this modern wooden cottage theme, it was clean and the room was decent size for Japan.

The location is super convenient – it's about a 5-minute walk to Sannomiya, 1 minute to Ikuta Shrine, and 10 minutes to Kitano. We were able to store our luggage both before check-in and after check-out, and they even lent us a power adapter.

Located right near the shrine, and about a 10-minute walk from the subway station. There are plenty of places to eat nearby too! The room was quite small but reasonably clean. The front desk service was pretty good, and they could communicate in English.

I recommend it. It was Ebisu Day, so I couldn't get a taxi, but they called one for me. They have separate smoking and non-smoking rooms, and I asked for a smoking room close to the elevator, and they obliged.

The room was clean and the bed was a semi-double single room, making it a perfect family trip without any worries. Thank you very much. I would like to stay with you again when I travel.

Clean and modern hotel, quite small considering it’s not in the most central area of Kobe. I imagine not super convenient for transport but I am fine since I am driving. Just for sleep over.

Hotel appears relatively new and the room (twin) was small but very clean. Only the complaint is that they charged an adult breakfast rate (not child rate) for my 6 year old child, which I never experienced in Japan.

The subway entrance nearby was closed, which made the transportation a bit inconvenient, and the room was a little small. However, the overall service was excellent, the bed was very comfortable, and it was great value for money.

Great hotel. Nice onsen facilities with a choice of rooftop location or ground floor nature garden location. The details that this hotel offers is exceptional compared to two other ones I have attended so far. The two stringed friddle with piano show at night was an extra bonus. I stayed here to see the first sunrise of the year from Meriken Park! It's about a 5-minute walk north from Kobe Station, and there are plenty of supermarkets and restaurants nearby, so I had no trouble finding something to eat!

The hotel is within walking distance of JR Kobe Station and has excellent access. It's also convenient that there's a convenience store nearby. It was also nice that they included free breakfast. The switch between the faucet and shower was broken, so the shower wasn't usable.

I always use Toyoko Inn. Breakfast is free and the room condition is good. However, the soundproofing is poor, so it is a little noisy at night.

Poor parking experience. Basement parking has no instruction to reach hotel reception. The free parking arrangement is not friendly. The facilities are old fashioned, and renovation is needed. English speaking visitors may find difficulties in communicating with the front desk staff.

The whole place needs a serious upgrade. Everything is old and tired. The location is good, the place is clean and the staff were polite but it felt like stepping back in time and not in a good way. They use old keys and only one key per room, carpet is tired, the toilet was slow to flush, beds were hard and the furniture needs replacing.

The room we booked wasn’t as shown in the pictures, we booked after checking the prices and pictures. But after talking to the staff, they moved us to the room that was in the pictures. The breakfast was excellent! And the views and location are great. Just be careful when checking the pictures the rooms might be different with what you choose.

There was no choice for non smoking people. I have never been staying in like this smoking room. I was supposed to be happy with APA hotel. It’s my first time in staying this hotel but very disappointed. But I really appreciate the support from staff who helped me!

The room was spotless. Japanese hotels are usually compact, but they always have everything you need. Plus, there's a free water bar at the hotel, which is great for grabbing a drink after a long day out.

I would like to compliment staff 家野 of hotel wing international kobe which i stayed on 8-10oct 2025. i have lost my necklace into the sink. she have helpfully helped to remove the pipe and tried her best to have to flush the sink to find it. although unfortunately we are not able to find it, i would like to appreciate her efforts.

Loved the great array of drinks available. Perfect for the weary traveler. Having a cup of hot coco set me up for the night. Loved the pajamas. The bed was the softest bed out of all the hotels I have been in Japan. Slept well as a result.

5 stars location, 5star people service and a space at the lobby where you can sit and work. 4 stars for the room, I love their room is spacious, but the bed is firm but sinks, it’s like a v shape when I sleep which cause sore back every morning, also their pillows are too high. Otherwise I like their spacious room and small but ok for typical Japanese size bathroom.

Rooms are comfortable, however the room reeks of cigarette and cigar smoke. The smell so strong that my nose never adjusted to the smell. I ordered non smoking room. They said it was non smoking. Lies. I believe all the rooms are smoking rooms. The beds and bedding good. Only annoyed that the receptionist lied about sounds. She said it would be noisy from 9am as the pachinko parlour opened the doors...

The hot spring is really big, and you can enjoy both the upstairs and downstairs pools for free. There's a shuttle bus to Sannomiya Station. The room views are absolutely stunning, perfect for couples. Breakfast was just okay, but overall, it's a great stay.

We love this hotel very much. We want to try ryokan but scare to get the old and dirty one, this is the right choice for us, room was very clean, big & modern. Staffs were friendly and tried their best to communicate in English, which we appreciate it very much. It is a resort hotel, of course it has the resort fee charge like everywhere worldwide, I don't understand why some guess complain about it

Excellent hotel! The entire property has a wonderful old-world charm. The large terrace offers a beautiful view, and they even provide essential oils for an aromatherapy diffuser, which was a lovely touch. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Kobe.

The check in process is slow, inefficient, and not customer friendly. They ask you on the very first day of your arrival about the exact time of your breakfast and room cleaning, which is unreasonable and not thoughtful. English speaking ability of the staff is also very poor.

The hotel overall is good.   Service amd facility are all good.  Only one problem and I will never book this hotel again for this reason.   The hotel only has room service for breakfast.   And really don’t like it.   When I used this hotel 3 years ago, they restaurant for breakfast is really wonderful.   Unfortunately, now it is only open for lunch.

The experience staying at the kobe plaza hotel was amazing! The staffs were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet was okay. Could use some improvements, but still nice. The 3rd floor lounge was so cozy and accessible. ☺️

I travel to the city by international flight connecting buses, when I arrive I expected taxi to help me to move my luggage to hotel. Or I would find shuttle buses but there was none. I then I finally move everything upward to the hotel lobby then was told: I COULD CALL HOTEL TO SEND FREE SHUTTLE BUS TO SEND US UP TO THE HOTEL For free!!! I emailed hotel in advance to my departure but was not advised...

Did not stay but used Onsen + lunch package. Onsen was one of the best in my life in Japan. I could use 1の湯 and 3の湯 all alone. Could not believe I was the only person using this onsen at that time. My body and mind both could be relaxed and refreshed. Food was also very nice. Next time I would love to stay a night.

The spot was super central. The staff were really nice. The hotel has this old-school charm, even if it's a bit dated, but they keep it up well. I loved their onsens, both inside and out. They even switch them daily so you get different views. Plus, you can get a private onsen for a bit extra.

We stayed at the west block which offers a nice view of the town. The public onsen are the big highlights together with the kaiseki dinner and buffet breakfast. The hotel has a long history so the building does have a slightly dated feeling to it and it's a huge hotel (with multiple blocks and floors) so might not offer a cozy feeling.

Wow. Wow. Wow! This was the most magical experience of our entire Japan trip. We did the Kobe dinner in our room and had access to both the public onsen and booked a private one. I have celiac and they made sure to prepare the dinner so I could still experience all the amazing food. Make sure to let them know any dietary restrictions or allergies ahead of time! I have a lot of trust in Toyoko. The room layout is reasonable and the hotels are widely distributed. This one is basically opposite Hanshin Station, which is convenient for getting around. The only drawback is that my room is close to the elevator, which makes it noisy. Also, the elevator was broken that day, so I had to walk up to the 12th floor.

It was comfortable and we enjoyed free breakfast.

Food quality and choices are fantastic. Staff service is very good and can communicate well in English. One minor drawback is that the spa pool is too small for too many hotel guests. I am disappointed that there is no spa pool outdoor.

The room was pretty good, quite spacious. The hot spring, however, only had one pool, but the experience was still decent! It's about a 10-15 minute walk to the hotel from the cable car station, and also about a 10-minute walk to the town.
