Location was great. The shopping streets are right beside it! Filled with restaurants, pharmacies, Japanese food wares, connected to multiple shopping streets. Namba train station 8mins walk away, Kuromon market 5mins walk and many more.
Apa hotel do not provide daily housekeeping or bottled water (welcome bottled water only on day1), they does it every 3rd day and provide the towels exchange at your doorstep. You can request for daily housekeeping as needed. Hotel size is typical Japanese size, small and compact. Could be a challenge for travellers with big luggages. No much view from the room window. Toilet bowel with automatic washer but without heated seat. Didn’t get to try its breakfast as there are many cafes around to try. Location is the key consideration if you want less train travelling around as it is located right next to the famous dotonbori running man area.

Location was amazing. Hotel was exactly what you needed, but nothing more. Rooms were a bit small. Bathrooms were a little smelly. Bit right in the middle of everthing you needed. Close to all the pokemon cards, close to dontabari. Close to the markets. Good for the location.

Location is the best bit. Straight into the Dotonbori district, closer to Namba station, and there is a Lawson directly over the road. Rooms are clean and comfy. My only feedback is that rooms and bathroom are on the small side, and pillows a bit flat. Otherwise great. I'd stay again.

Have stayed at other apa hotels and they were great. This was a bit small. No room for suitcase. No under bed storage making it feel extra cramped. Refused 20 min early check-in despite the room being ready and already waiting 3 hours wanted 2000y fee. So sat and waited. Customer service concept is non existent when it comes to check-in, obviously early check-in is a money maker for Apa. I think western hotels value the customer service accommodating early check-in and simple things like that can have a huge effect on perception and first impresssion. Had not had this issue at any other hotel in Japan from other chains (Royal Park Hotel, Kyoto for example), sure, paid the 40 dollars when I wanted 2 hour checkin at APA Yokohama. So far this one location is great.

I recently stayed at APA Hotel Namba-Eki Higashi and overall had a pleasant experience. The hotel is in a great location, just a short walk from Namba Station and very close to Dotonbori, making it super convenient for sightseeing and food hunting. There’s also a Lawson convenience store right opposite the hotel, which was really handy for grabbing snacks, drinks, or anything needed during the stay.

The rooms and bathrooms were very clean, but the room itself is a bit compact. With larger luggage, I had to struggle a bit while packing and unpacking. That said, it’s quite typical for business hotels in Japan, and everything inside is thoughtfully arranged to maximize the space.

The staff were polite and helpful, and I liked that the hotel provides fresh towels and yukata daily. Just note that room cleaning isn’t done every day unless you request it, which you can manage easily from the in-room TV.

I’ve also added some photos for better understanding (please ignore the mess 🥹). Overall, it’s a good value stay with an excellent location, clean facilities, and nice staff — a great base for exploring Osaka.

Its predominant advantage of this nation-renowned chain hotel is the location - 5-minute walk from/to the train station and near the traveler’s most beloved local store - the Donki mall. Tightly moderate room space with season-dependent varying prices. Bathroom like most of everywhere else in Japan has tiny compartment which, in my opinion, the European guys might probably find it uncomfortable. The staffs make sure the check-in-and-out process would carry on just smooth and quick enough.

Nice place for the amount paid. And it's close to slot of shops and restaurants within walking distance. This is also true for trains. The rooms are small, not gonna lie. I was there was a built in space for luggages since the room is so small. Definitely leans more towards business people, but still a good place and convenient.

Very nice and spacious hotel with its digital check in system is really easy to use. Of course the hotel staff are readily available to assist at any time.

Room are very comfortable and toiletries are provided. I like the fabric odourizer the best. Literally saved the room from smelling like grill meat loaf.

Great room for the price, just enough for two people in a double bed room. It's basically a bathroom and a bed, but what more do you need when you will be out exploring Osaka all day and night! We had a great experience here and the room was always cleaned nicely.

It's the barest of essentials, a real business hotel really caters for the businessmen. Someone that only needs a bed and a shower. I still cant work out why they only have powdered scrambled eggs. The rooms are very clean and the staff very helpful, so nice to stay.
