Hotel New Hankyu Osaka in Osaka

We checked in on 31/8/2024 and out on 4/9/2024
I have read reviews from others before going and were a little comprehensive about their rooms.
However, this were all dispelled upon checking in.
But I have to agree that the room was crampy, especially if you have more than one luggage.
Nonetheless, the room and the bedsheets were clean (surprise)
I like the pillow. The firmness was just nice.
The bathroom was great, though a little low for my height.
Every equipment (air-con control, light switches etc) was in working condition.
They even have a multi-ports charger on the table for you to charge your phone.
Shopping centres, F&B outlets and a huge modern transport station are all within walking distance from the hotel.
The buffet breakfast comes with two choices - Japanese or Western. You can try both if you want.
Staff were great and responsive.
My only negative feedback is the lack of English and Sports channels on TV.
In summary, one of the much better hotels that I have come across in my years of travelling.
But do note that they are closing down in January 2025 (reason/s not given)

Old school hotel with everything you need. But its closing down. But there are other branches for booking around Osaka.

Typical small room as Japanese style.
Superb location to Umeda station especially the Airport limousine bus.
Will be closed in Jan 2025.

there’s only one thing i wanna feedback is about this hotel they use centralised air conditioning.
I’m travelling in early dec, that is only for heater…
which we have to request to the hotel to open up the window for cold air to flow in - which mean the temperature is uncontrollable, is whether u have to open up narrower or wider of the window to decide and most likely you can’t get a ideal temperature.

i do not recommend this stay and will not come back for myself.

best thing of the hotel is location , underground pass through all the subway lines and airport bus terminal just right beside.

We liked a lot the location - close to all the shops you might need. Our room was quiet small, for two beds and two futons. We enjoed our stay especially because of the breakfast. A wade range of dishes including vegetables, meats, fruits. A bit japanese style, a bit european style.

Good location. Very strategic. Nice and friendly staff.
Room bit small but clean

Very old school hotel, a bit cramped for 4 adults, but luckily, it was a short 3 nights stays. My parents complained that room lighting is too dark, and our room is facing the main road hence the sound of vehicles passing by the hotel was very loud especially at night - On our last night there, a group of bikers kept going round and round the same area making those acceleration sounds (on purpose). The only best part would be the location of the hotel, near the train and subway station, near shopping malls, the bus stop to get on to go KIX airport is just right below their property.
