Hotel Fine Aroma Dotonbori in Osaka

Like other reviews, the hotel staff had poor communication skills with foreigners and seemed only interested in getting rid of them.

The experience was very bad. They didn't inform me of the late check-out fee in advance (including email, check-in, and booking details), and then charged an additional 1710 yen for being 5 minutes late. When I tried to communicate, I was threatened with the police. If I hadn't had a schedule, I would have called the police.

I lost my regular medication on the night of my stay, so I called to check. A man who seemed to be the manager answered the phone.
We don't have anything like that. The hotel has been cleaned several times. Your forgotten items have been kept in storage, he said, before hanging up.
I then went directly to the hotel and asked a female staff member, who told me that they had kept it safely.
The carelessness in managing lost items and the customer service are terrible.
My regular medication is psychiatric, so I have to take it daily, and it would be very unpleasant to think about what would have happened if I hadn't gone there in person.
When I arrived, the male staff member who seemed to be the manager was not there, so I will have a proper discussion tomorrow.
This is an extreme example, but if someone were to die because of this, would the male staff member or the group at this hotel be able to take responsibility?

I hope they will reconsider their proactive approach.

The location is convenient and there are no problems there.

However, the payment process was extremely cumbersome and unpleasant.

You select your room on a screen when you enter.

Then you get the key from the front desk.

Upon entering the room, you pay first.

There is a refrigerator, and drinks are available for a fee.

You also pay for drinks in the room.

The payment machine was very slow to respond.

And it was difficult to operate for someone who was slightly intoxicated.

The front desk did nothing to help.
