When we arrived, three hotel staff greeted us and helped us with our luggage. The whole accommodation experience was very good, with thoughtful details and a warm feeling. The hotel's shuttle service made getting around incredibly easy. We pre-booked it on Ctrip, and the shuttle to/from Odawara was right on schedule. I totally recommend it. Just be aware that the onsens are naked and they separate females and males. I recommend to book for a private onsen and you can be with your partner

I opted for a two-meal option and would recommend this place to everyone; I think it's quite good value for money. However, there's no shower in the room, so you have to go to the public bathhouse to shower, and then you can soak in the hot spring. If you don't like soaking in the hot spring with a group, they have private bathhouses available for booking at 3500 yen per hour. I recommend them to everyone

The food was great and the open-air bath was the best. I will visit again. It was near the lake so the atmosphere was good and it was a quiet place so I could rest quietly.

A very local hot spring hotel. Although the facilities are old, it is cost-effective.

The hotel service is first-class, the room is large enough, clean and hygienic. It is close to the bus station and Taoyuandai Station. The dinner is also very rich. I enjoy soaking in the hot spring. The only drawback is that there is no shower room in the room. I have to go to the large bath every time.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Shiunso. The meals were incredible and both private onsens, as well as the private bath in our room, were amazing. All staff were kind and helpful. We left feeling very restored and relaxed. Highly recommended!

If you are wanting traditional Japanese, we had dinner and breakfast in our room with Japanese Bath included absolutely awesome highly recommended if you want old school Japanese hotel.

We had a room with a private onsen which was beautiful and overlooked the river. It was so lovely to hear the water rushing and all the nature sounds. We had dinner and breakfast included, traditional multi course Japanese meals.

Loved staying here to relax. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Although limited English, communication was not an issue. Loved the private onsen as well as the one in our room. Also very close to the bus stop without fear of being too close to cars, since going into the city there’s really not a sidewalk

The overall service and facilities were excellent, especially the open-air bath in the room, which was fantastic. It was a bit disappointing, however, that we couldn't arrange dinner on Christmas Eve and had to eat out.

fabulous experience - food was interesting and delicious. the room was lovely looking out to the Mountains with our Private bath... the service was lovely.... I would recommend this as a Ryokan experience. Just use the luggage transfer service from arrival at the Station in Hakone to save you getting your bags up the hill..... its easy to come down when leaving.

This time we were driving, and the hotel is located on a slope, which didn't really affect us. There's a bit of a walk to find food nearby. For travelers without a car, I'd recommend buying food before checking in, as you can cook your own meals here.

The hotel's location is excellent, just about 200 meters from the left exit of Gora Station. However, the hotel signs aren't very clear, and we had to look for a while before we were sure we'd found it. After entering, we had to wait quite a bit before someone came to assist us, which was a bit inconvenient. The room was spacious, but the hot spring bath wasn't very big.
