The hotel room is spacious, and on a clear day, you can see the snow-capped Mount Fuji directly from the seaside garden – it's absolutely stunning! This foldable makeup mirror is super cool! If you get a front-facing lake view room, you can literally lie down and enjoy the entire panorama from your room! The hotel is right next to the pirate ship pier and the H bus terminal! It's also really convenient...
The public onsen is small with just two pools, one onsen had an open view to the sky. Note that they have no gyms available
A special shoutout to the ********* lady at the front desk; her service was incredibly detailed and attentive. She went above and beyond to help us when our downhill transportation was unexpectedly delayed
For returning to Hakone-Yumoto Station, you can ride the bus all the way to the end, and there's a bus stop right in front of the hotel! Overall, I'm extremely satisfied!
The breakfast was great, a small main hot entree and unlimited sides, such as breads, salads, fruits, and drinks. The only downside is the lack of AC during the winter
This hotel has a long history and is beautifully decorated with great style. The surroundings are lovely, making it a perfect spot for sightseeing and unwinding

Walking into the lobby, I was pleasantly surprised by how clean it was. Although it's an old hotel with a vintage interior, it has a charming feel, almost like stepping back into the Japanese dramas I watched as a kid
Despite its age, it's very well-maintained and clean, which made it comfortable. Everything else was pretty standard
We booked a standard double room; the facilities aren't brand new but are clean, and the room itself is larger than what you'd find in a Tokyo city hotel. The breakfast had a good variety, which was satisfactory
The hotel's location is excellent. From Hakone-Yumoto Station, you take the elevator down to ground level, cross the bridge, and the hotel is a short walk on your right, up another elevator
Waking up in the morning and standing on the balcony, you're greeted by lush greenery and the sound of a gurgling stream – it's an absolute treat for both body and mind
The hotel location is great and just next to Hakone Yumoto Station. Overall, the staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is great and includes lots of varieties

On the first day, I didn't realize our balcony bath was just hot water until I specifically asked the front desk and found out only the first and second-floor rooms have hot springs
Staying for one night with two meals for 2700 yen offered excellent value for money. The open-air bath on the balcony is not a hot spring; it's just hot water
The private bath is a bit small, just right for one person to soak comfortably. The view from the balcony is beautiful, with lush green maple leaves layered with red and yellow. Dinner and breakfast were decent
The guy who did the check in was super friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and spotless. I was not too well to go out but the place had every thing I need for relaxing and recovery.
All the hotel staff were attentive and meticulous, and their English was good. The shuttle bus goes to Kowakidani train station, not the bus stop, so make sure not to get on the wrong one
My second stay in this hotel, staffs are friendly, foods are great. For those who is coming the first time, please take the train from station 51 and get off at station 55 (Kowakidani)

This hotel is great for seniors; the hot springs are nice, and while the facilities are a bit old, they're clean. Environment: There aren't many other hotels nearby. Hygiene: It's good; the cleaning staff does a good job
The staff's service is exceptionally high-level. Personally, I'd rank it among the top one or two, along with Hakone's "Toyotsuki. " The service from the male restaurant staff was particularly good
The hotel's shuttle bus was very convenient, the room was comfortable, breakfast was exquisite, and the hotel service was excellent. A wonderful memory.
for those who want to run away from busy city life, this establishment offers a good escape. even though single pool onsen, it was enjoyable. spa service was good.
This hotel is nestled in the mountains, and the service was decent. The facilities inside the hotel were all quite clean. Overall, it was good.
The hotel's shuttle service made getting around incredibly easy. We pre-booked it on Ctrip, and the shuttle to/from Odawara was right on schedule. It also offered flexible pickups and drop-offs at several attractions

The hotel was very comfortable, and the staff were incredibly enthusiastic and friendly. There's a hot spring for bathing, and it includes a one-night stay with two meals. The food selection was extensive and very rich
My wife is vegetarian and they made special accommodations to fit both her diet and my own while very patiently explaining each part of our meals to use and direction on how to best enjoy them
Rally love the Ryokan experience. Beside is family mart super convenient. Free flow of beer and delicious dinner and breakfast! Bed is soooo comfortable. 5 stars for me🥰
It was a very quaint and luxurious boutique ryokan. Private onsen in the room was great - welcome drinks bar was also superb
This place was nice for the money and the big selling point was the breakfast dinner plan that is worth getting

The wagyu and teppanyaki shrimp was delicious! The onsen and ofuro has quality water tapped from Hakone volcano and soothes aching muscles and makes skin soft
The hotel has a beautiful environment, especially the Japanese garden 🏡 which is incredibly picturesque
We came in January when the weather dropped to 0c and the room had heaters. The onsen is beautiful and natural. And the receptionists are very polite and happy. We loved happy people that makes your money well spend
We stayed in a few Ryokans but this Yoshiike Ryokan is the best because the room have large window that allow fresh mountain air to flow into the room and the futons are incredibly comfortable and warmed
Even though it's winter, the plum blossoms and cherry blossoms 🌸 in the courtyard are already in bloom, making for a pleasant stroll. There are also many cultural relics
Since we didn't opt for a meal, the two futons were already laid out for us quite early

The hotel service is pretty good. Be sure to book a package that includes dinner. The room was okay, quite clean and hygienic, the hot spring was pretty good, and the dinner was overall quite sumptuous
The remodeled room was cleaner than I expected. The main bath was old, but the water was warm and nice.
Hakone Kogen Hotel is perfect for those looking to unwind in a peaceful natural setting. Surrounded by greenery, the atmosphere was calm and refreshing, making it a great escape from the busy city
The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with a nice traditional touch that added to the overall experience. One of the highlights was the onsen
The hot spring facilities were well-maintained and very relaxing, especially after a long day of exploring Hakone. The staff were polite and welcoming, providing good service throughout the stay
I totally recommend it. Just be aware that the onsens are naked and they separate females and males. I recommend to book for a private onsen and you can be with your partner

The hotel and restaurant staff were all very kind and helpful, the room was traditional, spacious and nice, the public onsen (indoor + outdoor) was great, too! The food at the restaurant was very well prepared and presented! The staff was very careful with accomodating any dietary restrictions, and also served western type of breakfast upon request
Aura Tachibana is a bit on the older side, but it is well maintained and has a lot of charm. The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and always willing to help, which really made our stay more enjoyable
Probably one of the nicest places I've ever stayed The room was gorgeous, traditional and warm. We had the private outside bath and it was nice and warm, perfect to contrast against the cold mountain air
And the food is incredible, I received the traditional japanese breakfast which was absolutely loaded with seafood and pickled vegetables, and my partner who is allergic to seafood received a lovely western style breakfast
Traditional style rooms were spacious and comfortable. Authentic Japanese breakfast provided samples of many foods. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Shuttle bus was exceptionally convenient
The whole experience genuinely felt comparable to dining in a Michelin-star restaurant, both in quality and care. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a refined and memorable ryokan stay

The private Onsen is the best I have ever had the pleasure of using (it is 1000% worth the surcharge) The only issues I had with my stay were some inconsistencies with the online posting and the english room instructions they appeared a little out of date (for example they both listed a dinner that was not available for our stay)
Probably the best hotel we’ve ever stayed in. Amazing staff with unparalleled Japanese service, super clean, fantastic onsen. FREE ALCOHOL, best breakfast ever. No words to say how much we enjoyed our stay.
We celebrated Thanksgiving in Hakone. We took a bullet train from Tokyo Station to Odawara Station. The hotel was kind enough to pick us up from the bus station and drive us to the hotel
The environment and view are very good, facing the mountain view, comfortable and cozy, the room is also quite comfortable, the view is elegant, and the hot spring is also very good
This is an amazing gem of a hotel. It is extremely chic. The staff are so friendly and the food and booze are next level. Not for kids this is really a couples hotel.

The service attitude and feeling are very good. It is very suitable for traveling with the elders. It is more suitable for relaxation without noisy children.
The independent hot spring in the room is very pleasant. It is hidden in a bamboo forest. I also recommend the breakfast and dinner at the hotel. If you stay, be sure to include double meals
The room is clean and the facilities are excellent. You must choose the double-board package. The breakfast is amazing and the dinner is pretty normal
In addition, this hotel is quite primitive and there will be some noise when you sleep at night

It was fresh! However, the unwavering number one is the whipped butter! The dessert is refreshing both in the evening and in the morning, and it's wonderful!
The service here is incredibly thoughtful. You can communicate directly if you have any needs, and Mr. Zhang at the reception was meticulously attentive to all our requirements. There's also a laundry service
Overall, if this hotel is located in the city center, it can be considered. The breakfast is Western, but the taste is very ordinary. Although the dinner is a one-star Michelin hotel, it is still a little disappointing
The hot spring water is set at a constant temperature one can bath at any time. It offers one of the best dinners at hot spring hotels.
The service was excellent, professional, and very attentive. The in-room amenities were premium and had a luxurious feel. The towels and hot spring attire were made from high-quality material and felt wonderful
The hotel is located halfway up the mountain. The bathroom is stuffy because there is no ventilation. The temperature of the hot spring is high. There are water droplets on the entire bathroom wall

The fish was a grouper dish, and the texture was similar to pufferfish, and it had a complex flavor that was good. The fish appetizer was a surprise. I was surprised that my wife and I had different plates for our food
Kanaya Resort is one of the most magical properties I have ever had the pleasure of staying at. My partner and I spent two nights here in March and we were blown away by the quality of the service
My wife had pacific saury, and I had flounder. When I asked why the dishes were different, she said that she had heard that the husband doesn't like blue fish
The amenities in the room were a lovely touch, complete with a robe, pajamas, slippers, and complimentary refreshments in the fully stocked mini fridge
I knew we were in for a treat when we were welcomed with a hot tea and cookies upon check-in, but it only got better from there
The highlight was dinner each night, which was included in the hotel rate! It was truly a Michelin-level fine dining experience. The menu was also able to be customized according to my partner’s dietary restrictions

Our stay at this luxury ryokan was simply magnificent in every aspect: the service, atmosphere, grounds, cleanliness, and the genuine care and attention to detail were all exceptional
I highly recommend booking a room with a private onsen, as the bookable private baths and the public bath don't compare to the experience of soaking in your own room
From the moment we arrived, we were treated with the utmost reverence and attentiveness, making us feel like honored guests and part of the ryokan family
The Gora Kadan was the perfect end to our three week stay in Japan, it's the first place we'd recommend to anyone else interested in visiting Japan
An absolutely amazing experience! I've stayed in countless top-tier hotels over the years, and Gōra Kadan is, without a doubt, the best!

The daily breakfast and dinners are called Kaiseki with multiple course and presented in the most beautiful ceramics and dishes. Our room hostess was so delightful and made our experience even better
Everyone at the Ryokan, from the people at the front desk to the lovely men at the doors were dedicated to making our stay better with a welcoming smile
Additionally, this Ryokan is located within a short walk to the town where many opportunities for sightseeing are possible. An impressive view of Mt Fuji was the cherry on top
Kasatsu Ryokan is located a five-minute walk from Hakone Checkpoint on the shore of Lake Ashi and a half-hour taxi ride from Odawara High Speed Rail Station. The transportation is very convenient
I cannot say enough positive things about this beautiful and relaxing ryokan. The setting is stunning and a perfect example of Japanese gardens
It was a dream come true coming here! My only critique would be that there are obvious signs of aging throughout the room; the bathroom for example had terrible and dark 80’s fluorescent lighting that made it challenging getting ready

The Kaiseki cuisine is full of ritual, the hotel is very private, dinner and breakfast are in the room, so there is no public space in the hotel. Bathing is very comfortable, suitable for couples to travel.
I stayed in a two-story room, so the two spaces were very separate and comfortable! The bed was also very, very large! The bamboo forest view from the window was absolutely stunning
Has a premium and discreet feel about it; the place is well hidden and there's lots of dark wood, bamboo and gold tones throughout. Very attentive service and food quality was up there with other 4+ star Ryokan
Love the peace and quiet! I love the privacy of a in-room onsen. Breakfast and dinner were really good. I will come back again
Yes, the hotel provides breakfast and dinner. The Japanese food is exquisite and the service is also very good. If the price/performance ratio is higher, it will be more enjoyable. I will go there again in the future

Ten courses breakfast and twelve courses Kaiseki dinner in a private dining room could easily cost at least $200 USD for two people; a private dining room in Japan costs 4000 yens at some restaurants
A ryokan that even the locals enjoy! It was an amazing experience staying in Madoka no Mori - from pick up at Gora station to the check-in, we were looked after
We would definitely go back again in the future! The availability of your own private onsen in the room with hot spring water was so worth it. Great selection of seasonal food during dinner and breakfast
Service was absolutely top notch. The hotel was beautiful, but showed some small signs of aging. Onsen was everything we hoped. Own bath in the room and an open-air public bath. Would love to visit again in the future.
While the food is not michelin starred like Jiro, Tempura Kondo, Yamadaya, or Ushirgoro, the food is still good. A dinner for two at any of the named restaurants above would cost as much as a one night here

This ryokan is perfect for people who want to experience ryokan for the first time but want something cheaper within Hakone area. Situated on the main road with buses to Owakudani and train to Odawara
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Shiunso. The meals were incredible and both private onsens, as well as the private bath in our room, were amazing. All staff were kind and helpful
Staff are very friendly and helpful. Although limited English, communication was not an issue. Loved the private onsen as well as the one in our room
Also very close to the bus stop without fear of being too close to cars, since going into the city there’s really not a sidewalk

One that we will remember fondly for sure !! Amazing experience with the hotel dining in a private room, loved the onsen in our room , only wished we could spend more nights here ! Thank you for making our first Ryokan experience a memorable on
the onsen water is certified to be natural and we could read the details of the certification from both the hotel reception and room toilet. the private in room open air onsen’s temperature can be adjusted as well
The overall service and facilities were excellent, especially the open-air bath in the room, which was fantastic. It was a bit disappointing, however, that we couldn't arrange dinner on Christmas Eve and had to eat out.

After a great night's sleep in the quiet, calm room, breakfast was a wonderful treat. An enormous variety of beautifully prepared food, delivered to the room by excellent staff who explained what each dish was
It's a bit scary at night without any lights, and the uphill slope is really steep! If you have a lot of luggage or have difficulty walking, please arrive at seven eleven711 early and contact the staff to pick you up
Our room had a private outdoor hot spring bath which we thoroughly enjoyed throughout our 4 day stay there. We had complete privacy with a view of the garden. The birds were bathing in the stream right outside our room

I specifically requested for room with a view (not car park view) for the price I paid but knowing the Japanese inflexibility, it will be impossible to have a room change after they have allocated one , plus they r running full capacity with inadequate manpower
The service staff was trying to separate us from the member guests with different route , access , etc … again for the price I paid , it is totally not worth it , be it the property , the service , or the quality of the breakfast
Breakfast standard is way below par for this level of luxury club standard. I had much better breakfast for room half this price. They should do a lot better in the selection and quality of the breakfast
Bad thing - NO VIEW ! our room with a Huge balcony faced a car park , I guess that’s why they sell this room to Non-Members. Thus the Balcony serve no purpose bcos there’s no view
Parking is easy , including access to basement parking. The public onsen is not bad with 2 outdoor onsen. The in-room private onsen is convenient but there is No View
And we have to queue 30 mins for a table
