Hotels with pool in Hakone

There were many amenities too, including the free hot spring bath, swimming pool, a museum of the hotel, and multiple large rooms with beautiful leather chairs

This five-star hotel is absolutely wonderful! The hotel itself has a rich history, and there's even a museum inside that meticulously chronicles its past. The hotel garden is stunning and perfect for photos

③ Chinese-speaking service is available throughout (though the hotel primarily hosts ********* guests, with very few mainland Chinese visitors). ④ There's a 24-hour complimentary beverage and coffee bar within the hotel

The Japanese breakfast is a must-try; we enjoyed it so much that we had it for four consecutive mornings! What's more, the Japanese breakfast menu changes every three days, with each day offering enticing dishes

The forest-view rooms are located in the wing built in the 1960s. The decor isn't just retro; it's genuinely vintage. You can tell they used quality materials and had good taste, but it definitely feels dated

If you're not comfortable using the public bath, the hot water in the room's bathtub is actually hot spring water, so you can enjoy a private soak in your room. The hotel itself has a lot to offer

Walking into the lobby, I was pleasantly surprised by how clean it was. Although it's an old hotel with a vintage interior, it has a charming feel, almost like stepping back into the Japanese dramas I watched as a kid

Despite its age, it's very well-maintained and clean, which made it comfortable. Everything else was pretty standard

We booked a standard double room; the facilities aren't brand new but are clean, and the room itself is larger than what you'd find in a Tokyo city hotel. The breakfast had a good variety, which was satisfactory

The hotel's location is excellent. From Hakone-Yumoto Station, you take the elevator down to ground level, cross the bridge, and the hotel is a short walk on your right, up another elevator

Waking up in the morning and standing on the balcony, you're greeted by lush greenery and the sound of a gurgling stream – it's an absolute treat for both body and mind

The hotel location is great and just next to Hakone Yumoto Station. Overall, the staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is great and includes lots of varieties

Was easy to get to (bus J from Odawara station (expected 50 minutes but took over an hour due to traffic jams near ropeway late morning time). Short easy 5 minute walk from bus stop to hotel (ignore other reviews)

Amazing hotel! The rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. The onsen is large and has beautiful views of Mount Fuji from the women's section, but unfortunately, I couldn't see it from the men's

The ryokan style room was clean and cozy, but a bit small for a family of 5. Buffet-style dinner and breakfast were decent, with selection of both Japanese and Western options

Staff were very polite and helpful, front desk staff speaks good English too. Good location for self drive travellers, near to attractions like Owakudani and Open Air Museum

The food was spectacular; I was surprised by the quality, especially for a buffet. The staff, both at reception and in the restaurant, were very friendly and attentive

Worth the room upgrading for a much bigger ryokan room with attached onsen. Fabulous! Food is great too!

My second stay in this hotel, staffs are friendly, foods are great. For those who is coming the first time, please take the train from station 51 and get off at station 55 (Kowakidani)

Not bad, pretty good overall, just the food felt a little perfunctory. The outdoor hot springs are great, and transportation is convenient with a bus stop just a short walk away.

However, the sink in the bathroom and the one in the room are quite old. Also, the towels provided in the room are too few and very thin; they weren't enough and weren't very good quality

The guy who did the check in was super friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and spotless. I was not too well to go out but the place had every thing I need for relaxing and recovery.

The private bath is a bit small, just right for one person to soak comfortably. The view from the balcony is beautiful, with lush green maple leaves layered with red and yellow. Dinner and breakfast were decent

All the hotel staff were attentive and meticulous, and their English was good. The shuttle bus goes to Kowakidani train station, not the bus stop, so make sure not to get on the wrong one

The wagyu and teppanyaki shrimp was delicious! The onsen and ofuro has quality water tapped from Hakone volcano and soothes aching muscles and makes skin soft

The hotel has a beautiful environment, especially the Japanese garden 🏡 which is incredibly picturesque

We came in January when the weather dropped to 0c and the room had heaters. The onsen is beautiful and natural. And the receptionists are very polite and happy. We loved happy people that makes your money well spend

We stayed in a few Ryokans but this Yoshiike Ryokan is the best because the room have large window that allow fresh mountain air to flow into the room and the futons are incredibly comfortable and warmed

Even though it's winter, the plum blossoms and cherry blossoms 🌸 in the courtyard are already in bloom, making for a pleasant stroll. There are also many cultural relics

Since we didn't opt for a meal, the two futons were already laid out for us quite early

The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with a nice traditional touch that added to the overall experience. One of the highlights was the onsen

The hotel service is pretty good. Be sure to book a package that includes dinner. The room was okay, quite clean and hygienic, the hot spring was pretty good, and the dinner was overall quite sumptuous

Hakone Kogen Hotel is perfect for those looking to unwind in a peaceful natural setting. Surrounded by greenery, the atmosphere was calm and refreshing, making it a great escape from the busy city

The hot spring facilities were well-maintained and very relaxing, especially after a long day of exploring Hakone. The staff were polite and welcoming, providing good service throughout the stay

I totally recommend it. Just be aware that the onsens are naked and they separate females and males. I recommend to book for a private onsen and you can be with your partner

The hotel service is first-class, the room is large enough, clean and hygienic. It is close to the bus station and Taoyuandai Station. I enjoy soaking in the hot spring

Setting: The hotel is nestled in the mountains, offering fresh air and quiet nights. It's also near a small river and waterfall. It's also conveniently located near attractions like Hakone Shrine and Lake Ashi

The hotel's indoor and outdoor hot springs are very clean, and soaking in the water while listening to the gentle cascade outside was a relaxing experience

Facilities: The hotel's overall decor is relatively new, and the rooms are significantly larger than similarly priced hotels in Tokyo

Service: The staff were attentive, the breakfast was plentiful, and lunch and dinner reservations were available

This superb hotel writes HOSPITALITY in capitals. Everything is focused at the guests wellbeing. And when a problem occurs it is solved with a smile 😀. Staff is super friendly, the onsen is great. RECOMENDED!

Although this hotel is far away from the central area of Hakone But the room is very spacious The bathhouse is very big And next to the beautiful waterfall It’s worth the higher price

I went without doing any research beforehand, but at the footbath bar where they serve welcome drinks, a staff member gave me a map and kindly recommended some great places to visit

Really love the big room we had and having our own onsen in the bathroom but the shower was not hot sadly 😔 Love that so many yukada are available to use freely 🥰 and the closet is pretty wide too 😁 Would be good to have more table space 😔

Just 2 min walk from the station. Staff very accommodating, especially for English speaking guests. Restaurant food was really good. Small portions but surprisingly filling! Loved our waited

The room was fantastic - really big, the shower alone was bigger than a hotel rooms whole bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and there was a balcony with nice view to the mountains

Really great for taking some time off and sitting with a coffee from the rooms own coffee machine (tea also available). We've enjoyed the private onsen and 'stonebed' spa a lot

First time staying ryokan, was a great experience doing onsen in the room. The place was clean, and enjoyed the free welcome drinks and the foot bath.

The hotel room is spacious, and on a clear day, you can see the snow-capped Mount Fuji directly from the seaside garden – it's absolutely stunning! This foldable makeup mirror is super cool! If you get a front-facing lake view room, you can literally lie down and enjoy the entire panorama from your room! The hotel is right next to the pirate ship pier and the H bus terminal! It's also really convenient...

The public onsen is small with just two pools, one onsen had an open view to the sky. Note that they have no gyms available

A special shoutout to the ********* lady at the front desk; her service was incredibly detailed and attentive. She went above and beyond to help us when our downhill transportation was unexpectedly delayed

For returning to Hakone-Yumoto Station, you can ride the bus all the way to the end, and there's a bus stop right in front of the hotel! Overall, I'm extremely satisfied!

The breakfast was great, a small main hot entree and unlimited sides, such as breads, salads, fruits, and drinks. The only downside is the lack of AC during the winter

This hotel has a long history and is beautifully decorated with great style. The surroundings are lovely, making it a perfect spot for sightseeing and unwinding

Our stay at this luxury ryokan was simply magnificent in every aspect: the service, atmosphere, grounds, cleanliness, and the genuine care and attention to detail were all exceptional

I highly recommend booking a room with a private onsen, as the bookable private baths and the public bath don't compare to the experience of soaking in your own room

From the moment we arrived, we were treated with the utmost reverence and attentiveness, making us feel like honored guests and part of the ryokan family

The Gora Kadan was the perfect end to our three week stay in Japan, it's the first place we'd recommend to anyone else interested in visiting Japan

An absolutely amazing experience! I've stayed in countless top-tier hotels over the years, and Gōra Kadan is, without a doubt, the best!

The service was incredibly thoughtful. They offered on-demand shuttle service to all the attractions in Gora, which was a lifesaver, especially avoiding walking in the cold winter

The Kaiseki cuisine is full of ritual, the hotel is very private, dinner and breakfast are in the room, so there is no public space in the hotel. Bathing is very comfortable, suitable for couples to travel.

I stayed in a two-story room, so the two spaces were very separate and comfortable! The bed was also very, very large! The bamboo forest view from the window was absolutely stunning

Has a premium and discreet feel about it; the place is well hidden and there's lots of dark wood, bamboo and gold tones throughout. Very attentive service and food quality was up there with other 4+ star Ryokan

Love the peace and quiet! I love the privacy of a in-room onsen. Breakfast and dinner were really good. I will come back again

Yes, the hotel provides breakfast and dinner. The Japanese food is exquisite and the service is also very good. If the price/performance ratio is higher, it will be more enjoyable. I will go there again in the future

The service was great, the open-air hot spring was very comfortable, and the dinner was delicious 😋

The service attitude and feeling are very good. It is very suitable for traveling with the elders. It is more suitable for relaxation without noisy children.

The independent hot spring in the room is very pleasant. It is hidden in a bamboo forest. I also recommend the breakfast and dinner at the hotel. If you stay, be sure to include double meals

The room is clean and the facilities are excellent. You must choose the double-board package. The breakfast is amazing and the dinner is pretty normal

In addition, this hotel is quite primitive and there will be some noise when you sleep at night

great experience with the private onsen.

The environment is very good, I like it

The hotel is located right outside Gora Station. Very convenient with buses, train, or cable car connection. We use luggage delivery service to send the luggage to Hakone Yumoto after check out

Can get a bit loud in the room in the morning- if your windows are facing the Main Street. Sound isolation is not the strongest side of the rooms design. Very good breakfast - scrambled eggs were perfect

They do have an onsen which was also pretty clean and nice. I had a shared bathroom, which I not always a fan of but it was clean and gender separated. I recommend this location for your Hakone stay

I stayed here 1 night during my Hakone visit and I am so glad for this place because the hotel I stayed in prior night was just awful (separate review on it) Room was spacious and clean

One of the best decisions I made is staying here. Hotels in Hakone area are pricey. WPU hotel is more affordable compared to others in the area. We can see the sunrise from our room

Great place to stay in Hakone, we really enjoyed our 2 nights stay which included breakfast (good variety and fresh!). The onsen was also a nice surprise in the hotel

It was wonderful! The hotel also provides a transfer from and to the nearest train stations. The rooms are clean, cozy, we slept on tatami under soft blankets. With massage chairs and a very quiet atmosphere

This hotel is a paradise in the mountains of Hakone! Traditional style of the rooms - it feels like you are living in a Japanese family. We were prepared a traditional dinner, which was served in our room

It was very tasty and varied! The hotel has 3 onsen: 2 - private, 1 - public. We visited only the private ones (you need to book a time in advance at the reception upon check-in, the visit time is 30 minutes)

Breakfasts were also in kaiseki style - varied and unusual. The hotel staff is very kind and friendly. this hotel allows tattoo baths. great experience, thank you very much! want to come back again!

A true Japanese experience. The onsen was amazing, we were a family and loved it. We also had a great experience with breakfast and dinner, very Japanese! Totally recommend it

We stayed in this room after visiting the onsen and got great relaxation. And you are also given national clothes for rest and sleep. It is very beautiful and cute

I didn't manage to use the pass for the baths over the road, but great to have that included in the price if you do have time. Some lovely gardens right opposite the hotel

A wonderful authentic Japanese experience. Great service despite us not speaking the same language (They are very adept at using Google translate)

Good Location for Hakone Open Air Museum and for being able to get on the bus back to the station early before it gets so crowded it doesn't stop for more passengers

Overall, the communication with the staff has been one of the worst experiences and lack of professionalism was truly disappointing. The service industry in Japan has unmistakably declined

With the massive snowstorm, the unshoveled roads and the steep slope, it’s the hotels responsibility to help guests under these conditions. They were dodging their duties

The staff said they’re not responsible for moving luggage outside the accom, which is ridiculous

The staff were so friendly and helpful and accommodating. The breakfast and dinner buffets had a nice selection of foods and the beer pouring machine was great. I was able to drive to many spots from this location

like this hotel, value for money. they have indoor and outdoor onsen. reception staff speak fluent english and very helpful to help us to make a toll free call to tokyo.

Loved the traditional Japanese design of the rooms! The best thing was the hot spring bath inside the hotel on a balcony, which is even open during the night

The hotel dinner was wonderful, there was so much food (Japanese tapas style), some of it prepared directly at the table

The bathroom taps/shower were a bit of a nightmare to get to a decent temperature and volume. The onsen was very functional and was extremely hot. Yukata provided and get to choose the size which is nice extra

If you want to let one rip, they can hear you. If you want to sneeze your brains out, they can hear you. The bathroom is small and it really seems like a business hotel changed to a family friendly room

There aren't many hot spring pools, but the outdoor one at the main building offers stunning views of Mount Fuji and the large lake.

Friendly staff and nice view with Fuji mountain. Stay peaceful.

Great location, rooms with views of Mount Fuji. Dinner included multi-course traditional Japanese cuisine. Onsen with a view of Mount Fuji. The standard of the ryokan is beyond praise. We will definitely return. A+++

The scenery is beautiful, and the location is great, right next to Lake Ashi. The rooms are quite large and the facilities are good. However, staying on the first floor means the view is largely blocked

The room was decent, but the view from the first floor wasn't great. I imagine the higher floors would have a better view. The food was good, typical Japanese style, and the service was also good.

Also, there's no distinction between the main building and the annex; if you want to book the main building, it seems like all bookings on Ctrip are for the annex

They were also kind enough to call up our pick up service for us when we checked out. It was a 4 degree celsius night when we stayed but I ended up sleeping without covers as we were toasty and warm indoors

Stayed in a very beautiful, spacious traditional japanese room. Very nice personnel that provided me and my friend with beautiful Yukatas to wear after bath. Onsen was small but still beautiful and clean

Sliding doors, floor beds, traditional gowns given to us to wear during our stay. The staff were very nice, gave us a tour of our room and how to use the facilities

Such a beautiful sight to behold. Placed between the gorgeous Hakone forest trees. Inside it's quite modern but with a strong Japanese feel

Had a really great experience here

I thought the hotel was a hidden gem with only 2 minor negatives: the hotel is only 250 metres from the bus stop but older guests with heavy luggage will get a workout as they climb the slope

The location is not very convenient, so it is recommended to rent a car or drive yourself; The surrounding environment of the hotel is very good, and there is also a cable car; Breakfast and dinner were great, and the sushi chef was very considerate

The property was absolutely wonderful. We had the best host. The traditional, hot spring baths were wonderful That is a traditional Japanese hotel a very comfortable and welcoming, and it made for fantastic memories

A great ryokan! Dinner is long and interesting, alcohol is not included, mostly sushi, made right in front of you. A private onsen is bookable by the hour for your group, and there are only six rooms in the onsen

This ryokan is a true gem in Gora! We were looking for an authentic Japanese style inn and this did not disappoint! We came into the experience blind with almost no idea what to expect

They went out of their way to arrange vegetarian breakfast and dinner for my wife on a short notice. Private onsen after a long day was great. Dinner on both nights had different menu

It was a really amazing stay! Service is amazing, food is amazing, environment is amazing and of course the onsen! Welcome everyone to come here!
