Reviews
Stayed on a weekday in December 2025.
I booked this hotel near Keikyu Kamata Station because I needed to get to Haneda Airport early the next morning.
It's about a 10-minute walk from the station, so access is good. There's a convenience store nearby, so there are people around even at night, making it a reassuring location.
Upon entering the hotel, the first thing that caught my eye was the row upon row of manga bookshelves lining the first-floor lobby!
They had a wide selection ranging from shonen and seinen manga to shojo manga, perfect for passing the time or relaxing during your stay (^^)
The front desk staff were also kind and efficient, guiding me smoothly through check-in.
Another great feature of this hotel is the free curry rice, udon, and soft drinks!
It's a self-service buffet style, available at no extra cost.
The warm curry has a comforting, home-style flavor that's truly delicious!
I ate until I was full (^^)
It was a great way to save on dinner costs!
There was also a soft drink bar, plus hot coffee and tea, so I even had coffee after my meal.
I booked a twin room.
The interior had a simple, calming color scheme.
The bath and toilet are combined, but that's standard for a business hotel, I suppose.
Since it's located downtown, the night view from the window wasn't particularly spectacular, but I could still feel the calm atmosphere of the city.
The hotel and room was very neat and clean with a kind staff. They provided complimentary drinks and udon noodles to be consumed within the hotel premises and have a big collection of books and comics to read. Overall, it was nice stay!
Staff are pleasant, and rooms are clean.
It is not a luxury hotel. It is a basic space to sleep and sightsee/work during the day. The beds are comfortable. If you bring a lot of luggage, your room will fill up fast. I shared a room with my teen and it usually did not feel crowded. The neighborhood is quiet and typical Japanese. The neighborhood is nice to explore. Some neat new building are being built nearby but the noise is not noticeable. I have lived in Japan and am used to smaller accommodations. This space was perfect for us as we just wanted a cozy place to crash at the end of long days visiting friends and sightseeing. Love the convenient location as well. It is close to Haneda Airport. Airport bus is an option during running hours.
+ Fancy Toilet to clean my Butt
+ Hot water for my fancy instant noodles
Contra
- 1. No Busses to the Airport (booked out before we checked-in)
- 2. Bad wifi
- 3. 9 hours earlier to check in costs another day extra (well, ok. Sounds okay to me) but 2 hours earlier will cost 2000yen extra to check in to the room.
- 4. No sake of good-will while Taifun
Due to the typhoon on Saturday our flight got canceled and we had to stay one night at this hotel. Although we knew check-in was only at 3pm, we had to arrive early in the morning (~7am) before the transportation stopped completely and to be safe before the extremely strong typhoon arrived in Tokyo. So we were happy that our taxi actually came to pick us up from the apartment where I stayed for my business trip and everything went smoothly until we arrived at the hotel... The receptionists were confused that we arrived that early. They offered to let us in earlier in case we paid the FULL rate for the last night, which was shamelessly expensive and they were obviousy taking advantage of the situation. We paid for one night and got told to come back at 3pm. Surely we wanted to do some sightseeing when there was a storm outside... not. We asked if we could wait in the breakfast area (there was no lounge) and got told that they may have to ask us to move if many guests come to have breakfast. Understandable. However they also told us not to eat during breakfast time... Thank you, we got up at 4am.
Finally they came at about 10:30 when the breakfast area was already pretty crowded with people who came early and were waiting for their rooms and said that the room was ready (It actually was before since they offered us to enter for a full room fee). Everyone was pleased until she mentioned it would cost an additional fee of 2000Yen. We refused simply because it is such an inhuman act of taking advantage of exceptional circumstances when people have nowhere else to go. Apart from that it really was the first time I ever got asked to pay for early check-in when the room is free anyways.
The room was nice although there was quite some hair in the bathroom...
The WIFI was so bad that you couldn‘t use it.
The airport shuttle bus (which is used to promote that you can get easily to the airport from this hotel) was fully booked. They also refused to help people reserve taxis. Thank you for nothing.
The whole unwelcoming atmosphere and attitude towards foreigners made me feel really uncomfortable, so I won’t recommend this hotel.
It is my 5th time in Tokyo and I was surprised that the Japanese staff couldn‘t handle the situation in a friendly, human manner. Hope they only had a bad day.
