Convenient location, it is a 17-20 mins walk to Sensoji and the shopping areas but it is perfect, in the sense that it is peaceful and quiet. I was staying there the last few days before leaving Japan so i was able to sleep and relax without lots of noise. Has some 7-11’s, restaurants, coffee shops around. The room is cozy. Housekeeping staff are very nice, so are the breakfast staff. They received my luggage from airporter and also kept my luggage for a few hours after check out. Perfectly located near Kuramae station which is directly connected to Haneda and Narita also. If you have heavy luggage, there is an entrance to Kuramae station with lifts(pic)

Satisfied in every way.
The only downside was that they didn't even provide water at check-in.
If I ever go back to Tokyo, I'd love to go there again.

At check-out, only one of the two female staff members was not very friendly.
They were rude...

The location is near metro, easily to get around in Tokyo. The room is not big, cannot open two big luggage at the same time. The staffs are very nice and helpful. You can use self-check in machine to check in by yourself. Breakfast is quite good.

I highly recommend staying here. The rooms are clean, the staff are friendly, and the Japanese breakfast is delicious. It's near Kuramae Station, making it very convenient for traveling. If I come to Tokyo again on my next trip, I will definitely stay here again.

My girlfriend and I (both American who don't speak a lick of japanese) stayed here for our first three nights in Japan. The room and free breakfast were pretty awesome for the price point and the staff were so so so friendly. We were trying to arrange a luggage forwarding service and the front desk staff was so friendly and patient with us even though we were probably asking silly questions. All in all would highly recommend. It's also steps from the kuramae station / asakusa line which is super convenient.

We had a very positive stay at Toyoko Inn Asakusa Kuramae No.2. As one of the newer Toyoko Inn buildings its got all the latest amenities - rainfall shower, shorter step to washroom, keycard control access to elevator, etc. Walk to Kaminari mon is not too bad, around 10-15 minutes - there is not much to see along the way so it does feel a little long.

We were disappointed that the hotel wasn't able to hold our suitcases for us for 2 days while we went to Kusatsu and returning to stay but understandably so after seeing all the luggages being held in the lobby just for same day. Luggage delivery options were offered at the hotel via Sagawa (done online) and Kuroneko Yamato (done on paper) so it was not all that bad.

Near to metro subway station . Room is clean . Will consider staying here again if I visit Tokyo .

It's very convenient from Kuramae Station. The hotel is clean and hygienic, and the price during the National Day holiday was acceptable. It's close to Ueno Park and Tokyo Skytree. I would choose this hotel again next time I come.

I only went for the cafe, not to stay. And although the interior was incredible, the cake + chai weren't amazing.

Great Hostel! The staff is very nice, helpful and friendly and they talk english which is quite rare in Tokyo! The common area are very nice too, and during the day the coffee greets many Japanese people. Everything is clean and nice, don't forget to check the common area on the 6th floor too! A must see hostel in Tokyo, I would definitely recommend to stay there!

Better than most hotels I’ve stayed at, mainly because of the warm and welcoming feeling the environment has. The staff are all exceptional and friendly. If you have any questions or need suggestions they’ll sooner take you than just send you on your way. Not something you can get at a hotel no matter how fancy. Each person is passionate about what they do. Bar and grill workers are too tier. The drinks (including the coffee) are definitely the best I’ve ever had made, fraction of the cost of them in the U.S.

I liked how there was a side door to enter for the hostel, as my attire was not really bar/restaurant style and more of a travelling foreigner, it felt a little weird to have to walk through the bar at night to get to the room. I had a private room with a bunkbed, the shared bathrooms are very nice and clean. The actual shower and toilets were in small private rooms, and the sink area was moreso shared. There's a nice waterfront path across the street to have a nice stroll during the day or night. I personally find it a lot more beautiful during the night. Overall great stay, will come again as it is also very close to public transit.

Great place to stay if you’re visiting Tokyo, with clean and well-appointed rooms and great location. Plus the bar has good prices, a fun vibe and great staff. A pleasure to stay at.
