APA Hotel Nihonbashi Hamacho Ekiminami in Tokyo

Don't know why this place doesn't have better reviews. Location is great, very quiet neighborhood but lots of restaurants and cafes within a 10-minute walk. Rooms were slightly bigger than in other APA locations I've stayed (but still small).
One elevator for an 11-floor building is absolutely absurd, be prepared to wait a ridiculous amount of time to get to and from your room.
Breakfast was very tasty but much more limited than in other locations. Rather than a buffet it's just 4 set menus that you can choose from. Still worth getting for a shorter stay though if you just want something quick and convenient
Bed was comfortable, staff were friendly, and being right beside the Sumida River is fantastic. I would definitely stay here again

It was a very good Hotel
It has a very central location with easy access to subway stations.
The room was small but sufficient for one person and had everything you need, including a refrigerator.

The hotel room itself is enough for an individual. I enjoyed the 11th floor view of the Sumida-Gawa river. They utilize self check-in machine which read my passport quickly and accurately.

Very nice place to stay, I had the most wonderful view for only 30 dollars a night. I have stayed at this spot twice so they do a wonderful job for what I believe was only about $30 US for the night. I am a solo traveler and enjoyed having my own bathroom and the rooms are quite cute as well. I enjoyed my stay.

This is to give honest review to help out future travelers when deciding about staying in this hotel.

Pros
1. SORROUNDINGS - this is the highlight of this place. It's mostly residential and it brings peaceful vibe. Make yourself some time to stroll around the area and you will see other side of Tokyo. You can sit on the bench while looking onto the river which really gives a relaxing vibe over a chilly May weather.
2. Room is small but it just fits a solo traveler vibe with river view.
3. They will ask if you have requests prior to your stay and will try their best to give that
4. This is a walking distance to Tokyo City Air Terminal (T-CAT). About 15 mins. This made me realize that limousine/airport buses are more convenient as you get to avoid stairs on train stations which is quite a hassle when you have luggages.
5. Though they only serve same 4 selections of set meals everyday, they serve good breakfast and a nice coffee.
6. Not cleaned everyday but you can request to make up for your room for the day. They will provide you clean towels everyday.

Cons
1. Quite far from the train stations - if walking isn't a big deal for you like me, a 5-10 minute walk would be fine except when it's raining which is kind of hassle. The nearest train station I suggest is the Hamacho station (Shinjuku line S10)
2. The place is so quiet that sometimes you feel strange when walking at night like around 10PM. Since this is residential area, you can only get to see these people walking earlier than that time.
3. No convenient stores around. Nearest is family mart which is a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel. There is one local store but they only have few selection compared to known convenient stores.
4. No cabinets. You will use the space under your bed to place your luggages and use it to store your clothes. Clothes can be hanged by the wall.

Overall, this is a good place to stay especially If you wish to have a quality "me time".

Highly recommend , cannot speak a lick of Japanese but that didnt matter because the workers tried to speak english and gestured when it was needed. Will keep using APA from NZ
