Hotel Monterey Hanzomon in Tokyo

The hotel facilities are excellent, and the service is great. It's super convenient, less than 10 meters from the subway exit. They have everything you could possibly need, so you don't have to bring a thing. I had a wonderful stay!

The room was okay, but the space around the bed was too cramped, with no separation in the middle, making it feel a bit tight. As for cleanliness, there were fruit pits left by the previous guest right where the slippers are kept, which really grossed me out. I hope they can be more thorough with their checks. Thanks!

Location: Excellent! It's right by one of the Hanzomon Line's termini, Exit 5, just 20 meters from the hotel. After a long day of sightseeing, it's great to have the subway drop you directly at the entrance. Plus, it's super convenient for getting anywhere.

Surroundings: There are three supermarkets – one to the left, one to the right, and one in front of the hotel, all within a three-minute walk. Perfect for breakfast! There's also a drugstore where you can pick up some essentials.

Service: The front desk has Chinese-speaking staff, and the service is excellent. We transferred from another hotel, and they patiently showed us around different rooms and helped us check in. Very satisfied.

Cleanliness: Overall, it's pretty good. There might have been some static electricity, as there were a few hairs on the bedsheets. This could be improved.

Regarding Trip.com: On our first day, we were very unhappy with our initial hotel. Trip.com's customer service was proactive in resolving the issue, canceling our remaining bookings, and even contacting this hotel for us to view rooms before checking in.

Overall, I'd give it an 8.8. I also noticed that this hotel and the one I stayed at previously in Kobe both belong to the Japanese Monterey Hotel Group, indicating standardized management. It offers pretty good value for money.

This hotel is truly flawless, apart from being a bit small! The location is great, right outside the subway exit, with a 7-Eleven and a FamilyMart on either side. Plus, there are free drinks and foot patches every day, and a delicious small restaurant next door.

This hotel is super convenient, right across from Hanzomon Subway Station. It's in a quiet area but still very central. There's a 24-hour supermarket diagonally opposite, which was perfect for grabbing water, fruit, and snacks. As expected from a 4-star chain hotel, both the facilities and the service were excellent and very thoughtful. The room was also quite spacious. I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip.

I've stayed here two or three times now. The location is excellent, very close to all the places I needed to go for meetings, and Hanzomon subway station is right at the doorstep. The hotel's facilities are a bit dated, but the rooms are huge compared to those in Ginza. The two supermarkets nearby are also convenient, though finding places to eat can be a bit more troublesome. The main thing is the incredible value for money... They even provide complimentary bath salts and face masks daily. It's perfect for those who enjoy peace and quiet.

Hygiene: Overall very clean, probably the cleanest room and best housekeeping service of this trip, possibly because I stayed a bit longer.

Environment: Pretty good. There were also Chinese-speaking staff at the front desk, both male and female, who were very friendly 😊.

Service: Naturally, nothing to complain about.

The hotel's location right next to the Imperial Palace was wonderful. Even though I couldn't get a tour reservation, I really enjoyed the tranquility; it was so peaceful every day. It's super close to the subway exit, just across the street – I think it was exit 5, which has both an elevator and stairs, so no problems with luggage. The hotel had a lovely scent! The front desk staff were excellent; they accurately understood my needs even when my communication wasn't perfectly smooth, and even upgraded my room. The room type I booked originally wasn't quite right, and they adjusted it for me without even needing to switch rooms, which was a pleasant surprise. Overall, I thought it was pretty good. Perhaps because I've stayed in even smaller rooms in Korea, the size felt perfectly fine. They provided many drinks daily, and downstairs there was free orange juice or hot green tea, as well as skincare products and face masks, usually available if you returned before 10 PM. The only minor inconvenience was needing to transfer to get anywhere, though getting to Omotesando was quite convenient. Highly recommended! Finally, a shout-out to Trip.com customer service. I booked hotels on four different platforms, and Trip.com's customer service was the most responsive and effective in solving actual problems, blowing the others out of the water.
