Ibusuki Phoenix Hotel in Ibusuki

I saw online that this hotel offered a free sand bath voucher, but it didn't. It cost 1,500 yen per person. The front desk staff were all Indian. Our Japanese-style room didn't include bed-making services; we had to make our own, and we found instructions online. We didn't choose dinner; the photos didn't make it appealing. We went for Kagoshima Kuroge Wagyu BBQ instead. Ibusuki is a cheap and delicious place. The breakfast buffet was decent. Most of the visitors were elderly Japanese people, and a few older women were relaxed and relaxed, which was very relaxing. This hotel gave me the feeling that I wouldn't want to spend even a penny extra. I can't explain why, but I won't stay there again.

It was great to be able to have a sand bath here rather than needing to go out to another facilities. The onsen wasn't much, but ok.

I stayed with my husband for a sand bath about 10 years ago 🏝 The first sand bath in my life was hot and painful and I was convinced that I prefer hot springs that are soaked in hot water again, so it was a good experience 🧖🏼‍♀️♨️ The room was very classic and had a retro vibe even now, but I liked it. There was a white bathtub on the terrace and the flowers were prepared from the hotel side (it was planned back then 🤔) for the first time. with real petals was a luxury 🌺 ... It was a very good memory. I still remember the dinner clearly, but my hated water shield was used and most of the dishes were left with a slimy consistency 🥺, but that's "now", that's all. But now it's a good memory to laugh at. And maybe there were busy days at the checkout (never been nasty)... when the young lady in front turned to the side, we sighed and saw it. I accidentally looked at my face and laughed a lot. When it's over, it doesn't have to be a routine technique that can be applied in a tropical country, and if you are satisfied with one thing, it is a relaxing trip that you find acceptable!

A bit old but clean room. Staff is not good in English. The sand onsen is attached in hotel which is convenient. Yet, the sand is not hot enough.

A hot spring hotel near the sea, a ten-story Japanese-style sea view room, with an unobstructed sea view outside the window, the scenery is very good. I gave you a sand bath coupon for the hotel's own sand bath hot spring, so you don't even have to go to the Sand Le Hall.
The specialty of Ibusuki is the sand bath. You can’t take pictures, so just use the pictures on the official website to take a look. You can soak for ten minutes at most, half the amount for children, and a staff member will wake you up when the time is up.
The swimming pool is open during this season.
The hotel has a free shuttle service to Ibusuki Station in the morning, leaving at 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. You need to make a reservation one day in advance. Dinner was Satsuma cuisine, which was exquisite, with fresh ingredients and delicious taste. Breakfast is buffet style.
The Iwasaki Hotel next door actually had small fireworks on 8.12 nights, and I was lucky enough to catch them.
The foreign girl at the front desk speaks very good English. She introduced herself as an expatriate from Dubai who has been working in Japan for 5 years. Now she speaks Japanese better than English 🙂

Overall is ok,breakfast and dinner not my expectations .
