Hotel Touristan in Bishkek

Pros:

The location is excellent, WiFi was very good and despite my reservations on being given a ground floor room RIGHT next to the lifts and reception, when I had asked for a quiet room, it was indeed quiet. I slept well too. Good AC and shower water pressure. Also mini teeth brushing supplies. Able to pay by CC (not Amex tho even though the insignia is there).

Cons:

The bathroom floor (room 114) was burning HOT. Not nicely toasty as in a heated floor. SCALDING. You couldn’t stand for more than a few seconds with bare feet. Put a darn bath mat down!!

Also the shower gel dispenser in the shower was empty 🙄

Impossible to work the TV unless you read Russian or Kyrgyz

Finally, I had discussed and confirmed with the receptionist the night I checked in on an early AM shuttle to the airport (1000 som). The staff member also told me it would take 40 min- hour for an airport ride. Lo and behold the next AM NO airport shuttle and the receptionist looking at me blankly. Thankfully was resolved quickly when she called the shuttle service and he arrived quickly but this shouldn’t even have happened. FYI Yandex was 300 soms cheaper and was available. Also the airport at that time - 5:15am- is no more than a half hour tops.

Location is great. Rooms are clean and modern. They also arranged an airport shuffle for us and gave us breakfast in a lunchbox at 6AM, even though the breakfast starts later. Staff is english-speaking and friendly.

Comfortable stay, neat and clean, just near to city, and friendly staff here. We really enjoyed our stay here. They’re doing what they promote and promise

Good location to chill out

Great place and spacious and clean room. The receptionist was very helpful and smiling. I would definitely stay again!

Facilities: The bed is average, the pillows are quite high, and there are no slippers! There are Chinese sockets.
Service: The service is very good

The hotel is located in between the Alatoo square and the Osh bazaar so it’s not too bad. Room was spacious and clean. Staff were helpful and friendly. However my experience with the hotel should be noted by travelers and the hotel owner. Upon arrival, I was given a key to a room. When I opened the room, another guest was sleeping inside the room. I was shocked. Then I went back to the reception and was assigned another room. This time the room was not properly prepared. A vacuum cleaner was still inside the room and the bed was not made. My concern with security (as in anyone can easily enter your room with a key while you are sleeping) made the whole stay unpleasant.

The location is almost 2 kilometers from the downtown. The room is simple. TV not working, asked the receptionist to fix it and he replied me to watch YouTube instead. No sealed water but a jug. Hot/Cold water in toilet with amenities. Friendly staff. I asked for early check in and approved. Breakfast is good.
