We stayed here as part of a G Adventure tour. Nice rooms with comfortable beds and great shower. It’s walking distance to several restaurants.

We stayed here as part of a G Adventures 5 Stans tour. Comfy beds, luggage storage, adequate free wifi, and a quiet place. Enjoy an ample breakfast of local fresh foods and proteins. Attentive staff. Safe place, A small hotel feel despite its larger size.

Good location.Nice service. Different sizes of rooms. Stayed few nights with 3 teenagers.Toilets in the room.Maintenance of the toilets was not so good.Beds were big enough and comfortable. Laundry-they charge by piece so we didnt use that .Breakfast was good in general,but no refill untill you ask,and one day there was no milk( supermarket is very close). All in all-a good place to stay.

Centrally located the hotel is a great base for visiting the highlights of Karakol including the restaurants, bars and hugely popular walking trails of the surrounding areas. Stayed with G Adventures group tour. No wifi in room. Grocery and liquor store next door but no elevator. Breakfast is in basement so a lot of going up and down stairs. Quiet, nice big bathroom, pretty clean and new, not so good view, across from mosque so hear muezzin, breakfast ok, again nothing gluten free except yogurt and eggs.

Reasonable stay if you have tight budget. One thing that bothers me is breakfast. Hotel don’t provide early morning breakfast and the quality of food is lower than expected. I may not recommend this hotel if you can find other if any.

We really loved our stay here but the rooms did not have Wifi. So if we didn't buy sim card, we would end up cut from the entire world. It's a typical post Soviet place. There's a hotel inside the place and there is a cafe called Cafe de Gusto. Card is accepted there and they have good Shisha, shashlik and wine.

We stayed at a hotel on a business trip. We booked a double room. It was clean, cozy, and quiet. We ordered breakfast in the morning – it was delicious: jam, candy, cookies, and scrambled eggs. The place is worth checking out. Good luck!

This is my second stay here. This time on the ground floor. The hotel itself seems fine, with relatively spacious rooms, unlike other guesthouses. The price is reasonable. Each room has a shower and toilet, which is very convenient. The rooms are cool, both on the first and second floors. I even had to put on clothes at night. I was there for three nights, and on the first day, some strange people...

A very nice place. Welcoming, benevolent and intelligent hosts. We are always ready to help. The prices are very, very reasonable. With a large number of guest houses nearby, it is Ak-Shoola that is in demand. Rooms for 2 and 3 persons, there is a kitchen for cooking, appropriate utensils. Don’t use Booking app. They will ask you to cancel. Or they will cancel you. There is bad wifi. But very cheap clean toilet. Oh don’t forget to buy a toilet paper!

I will recommend this guest house 100 times. The owner and everyone are very nice and available. When I wanted a folklore show and dinner in a yurt she made it professionally. The breakfast is plentiful too. Best guest house in Kyrgyzstan for us!!!

I recommend this hostel. The breakfast was very good, Dinner delicious with baked fish, the Lady very caring and generous. The dining room was modern kirgisish Style with a lot of wood and in warm colours with some kirgisish patterns, very different to the dining rooms we were in so far. In the nice Garden we could sit, talk, make yoga… You find everything to feel comfortable and like home.

Came for a Kyrgyz cooking class. Very generous and kind hosts and learned a lot about Kyrgyz culture

Nice Big Rooms, Price was reasonable, but don't expect 5 star services as it's a owner owned guest house, owner Nargis is friendly, breakfast is normal.

Rooms are very clean. Beds and pillows are comfy. I was afraid that breakfast would be scarce as I travel with teenagers but breakfast was good enough. One portion of pancakes with cottage cheese with sour cream. I ordered extra omelette which came with fresh veggies. On the territory you can sleep in yurts.

For Kyrgyzstan standards a beautiful very friendly family run hotel. With a park view! Owner was very enthusiastic with cleaning the rooms and making a super big breakfast for us. We used this hotel to go skiing near karakol. They arranged a transportation to the ski area. The rooms are small but spotless. The owner tries to speak English.

New and clean rooms. Toilets have showers and bidet. Access to the lake sandy beach along with a bridge over the lake.

We took the 4-bed suite with the big balcony with a view of the lake and the mountains. The bathroom was missing the towel bar, and the fan was dying. The beds were hard. The room was otherwise ok. Breakfast was decent and the grounds and the beach area were very nice. If I make it back to Cholpan Ata, I'd consider staying there again.

I am on 15 days tour to kyrgyzstan and last night stayed in this hotel and the location is so beautiful , don't feel like leaving this place. Rooms are very big n clean. Small, cozy, new. It's not a place for party animals, but rather those who prefer more intimate atmosphere. The shore is like a little bay area, and can get crowded during the hottest hours.

By far the best accomodation we stayed during a 1 month trip to Kyrgyzstan. The guesthouse is lovely with a really welcoming interior. Andre was super friendly & knowledgeable providing great advice and going above and beyond helping us with arranging transport etc. The delicious breakfast was a bonus on top which we would look forward to each day. Andre is amazing, can't recommend this place enough. 5 of us rocked up with our bikes and he took us in, let us use his workshop and helped us get anything we needed. Cooked breakfast was also included which is amazing and the rooms are super spacious . No better place to stay in Karakol

During our group stay, they invited a group of musicians to perform for us with native music instruments, it was such a charming evening. I enjoyed another welcome stay at the Riverside. Excellent location and facilities, great big rooms, comfortable beds and big showers.. Filling big breakfasts and a wonderful helpful host. The location so quiet with good local shops. The views are really stunning and the vistas constantly changing. A great base to sight see around Karakol.

Love this place! It’s very cozy and peaceful with fantastic views of the mountains! It’s even better in person than in the photos. The hosts are wonderful, friendly, welcoming and helpful with trekking ideas and local recommendations. The breakfasts are fresh and so delicious! And there is a super sweet tuxedo kitty and the tiniest cutest gray kitten. Why wouldn’t you stay here?!

Small family-run hotel with friendly staff. We stayed there one night and felt really welcomed. They speak a bit of English so communication was no problem. Only bad thing is that there are not of other things around the hotel. Otherwise a good place to stay!

Now it is MYPAC HOTEL. I like the internal lounge area on the 2nd floor. It's at the centre, surrounded by the guest rooms - just like our living room at home - where you can gather and have a chat with your group. The hotel lady keeper is very nice, too. Muras Hotel was a great stop over for one night. Very clean rooms and bathroom + a very nice breakfast! The host family were very nice and accommodating.

Nurgul and her husband are simply amazing

Nurgul and Jorik are very welcoming hosts! We spent 1 night here in Bakonbaevo in May. Quiet neighbourhood, warm in the house, hot water, delicious meals with lovely homemade jams from Nurgul (try the raspberry one!) and very close to the main street (aka shops and the taxis/marshrutkas stop). Nurgul is very welcoming and a wonderful cook. We stayed two nights and ate all of our meals there. Clean rooms and bathrooms. Highly recommended for anyone staying in Bokonbayevo.

My evaluation applies only to the restaurant, as I stayed somewhere else and just are at Kochvnik's restaurant. The cappuccino was pretty regular, and the service was pretty good. I like where the Cafe sure l sits and their bliny are excellent!

A very lovely place run by a family, with a nice and well-maintained garden full of fruit. Breakfast is included, featuring jams made from fruits grown in the garden. We enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend it to anyone.

One of the best guesthouse in Karakol, everything here is really great, rooms, breakfast, bathroom. The atmosphere is really quite, just little bit away from noisy city center but you can do everything by feet. If you like Soviet period ambience, a good find. Rooms are rather shabby. Great parkland for walking and terrific beach but I did not find rhe accommodation good value.

The hotel is on the edge of Issyk-kul lake, with spectacular views and a private beach. The food is good and the rooms and the building are reminiscent of the Soviet times. Do not miss it!!

This is best hotel on Isyk Kul lake. Sauna is perfect (wooden) pool is so nice, there is a lot of therapeutist of you need them. Cottages are so cool to stay in them. Food is natural and good. Reception staff os helpfull and polite. Garden stake house in thks hotel serve best food on the lake, natural saslyk, rice, stakes. Who ever visot Isyk Kul region should stay in this hotel.

Children oriented resort. There is everything for a good vacation. The location is the only disadvantage for me as it is a little bit far from the city.

One of the best hotels we stayed in in Kyrgyzstan. The service and the receptionist, Yana, are simply incredible; we've never experienced anything like it: she's always there to help, feed you, and take care of you like family and friends (and sometimes even family doesn't take care of you like that!!).
