Riviera Spa Resort – Adults Only in Mellieha

one of the cleanest hotels i’ve ever stayed in, beautiful hotel with stunning views ,our rooms were spotless and the staff were so kind and attentive, extremely high level of customer service, sabita at the front desk was really helpful, everything was so quick and easy. would 100% recommend staying here to anyone visiting malta. We also took a pilates class with Linda and loved it, the hotel offers many classes every day and i would highly recommend trying one. We got massages in the spa and really enjoyed. I can’t express enough how amazing the staff are in this hotel, very pleasant experience! we bought water bottles at the reception and there is machines to fill your water all around the hotel.

Highly recommended. It was not our first time at the Riviera Spa Resort Adults Only and definitely not our last.
The staff is very helpful and always a service with a smile. Priyanka the receptionist was of great help to any questions we asked. Our room (Seaview) was spacious and clean. The indoor heated pool is very nice and relaxing. The breakfast and dinner buffets have a large variety of good food.

Our stay was between end of the november to first days of the december 2025. Rooms clean and comfortable, the service room came every day. Personnel of the resort is very helpful and nice in contact. Especially - Mickel the Guest Relations Manager is a very friendly man, every day small talks was creating a pleasant atmosphere of our stay. He is also very helpful. The meals in the restaraunt is very good and is a lot of choices what to eat. Only one minus is the sauna zone, it closed very early (7 pm) and water in jacuzzi is cold (jaccuzi there is more like cooling pool after sauna). The resort is in attractive location, next to Camino island and very close to ferry port to route the Gozo. To Melehia (the nearest city) it is 10-15 minutes by the bus. Near the Hotel is also the bus stop from where you can explore the whole main island ( Valletta or Mdina), it also direct bus to/ from airport (1.30 h of travel). In the neighborhood of the Hotel you will also find attractive places to see like Red Tower, White Tower or Coral Lagoon.

We had a very good experience at the Riviera Hotel in Malta and would happily recommend it. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed by the staff, who were all extremely kind and professional. A special mention goes to Ni Ni at reception, who was particularly warm, helpful, and made us feel at home straight away.

Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary drink and snack, which was a very thoughtful touch and a great start to our stay. Our room was spotless, modern, and very comfortable, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was relaxing and enjoyable throughout our visit.

For dinner, we ate at Osteria Tropea and it truly exceeded our expectations. The food was excellent, full of flavour, and beautifully prepared. It is definitely a must visit for anyone staying at the hotel. Breakfast was also really good, offering a large variety of options with fresh and tasty food to suit different preferences.

Overall, our stay was excellent, from the service and cleanliness to the dining experience and atmosphere. We would not hesitate to return and would gladly recommend the Riviera Hotel to anyone visiting Malta.

Best bits.
The staff overall are incredible and always welcoming and supportive, particularly the front dest and housekeeping.

Location is good, but personally I feel you need a car, there is ample parking available.

Food and dining is great, plenty to chose from, including breakfast, lunch/snacks and evening meals, all reasonably priced including the bar drinks.

Things to improve.
The two gyms are way below expectations with a lot of equipment out of order, and the in the blue floor gym, the kids from the late 80s it's that poor. Certainly not meeting g my expectations at all.

The hotel, is very clean, but I certainly feels like it needs updating and a reference, just to hit the adults only spa hotel market.

The spa is ok, but again no wow factor and feels dated.

Overall we enjoyed our experience, and always felt comfortable, thos really was down to the staff, the managers welcoming guest were particularly impressive with lots of local knowledge and ideas for things to do

- The hotel doesn’t own a private indoor car park. I had to leave my brand new car in an outside public car park all day long in the sun. Picture taken early in the morning at sunrise. Also food can be a little bit better with more choices and variety

Hotel was lovely. Pool table which was reasonable, public car park at the back, great price for cocktails, good entertainment but I feel more kids entertainment would be beneficial. Rooms were clean and modern. Mini fridge wasn't great but could keep a couple of drinks cool. One of my favourite things was the free water fountains. The massive choice at breakfast time, my only negative was stale cereal. Staff helpful and happy 😁. Would recommend to others.

The Best Hotel in Malta!

We had an exceptional stay at this hotel! The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The rooms were spacious, modern, and spotlessly clean—truly fantastic accommodations.

One of the best conveniences was the nearby bus stop, which made getting around the island a breeze. Whether you’re heading to a tourist spot or just exploring, transportation is very easy.

The hotel offers fantastic amenities, including both indoor and outdoor pools and a relaxing spa, all of which you can access at your convenience. The food was delicious, with a great variety of dishes that truly enhanced our stay.

As a lovely personal touch, my wife celebrated her birthday during our vacation, and the thoughtful staff surprised us with a complimentary cake delivered to our room. We really appreciated this special gesture—it made our trip even more memorable!

I will definitely be returning in the future. Highly recommended

We had an absolutely amazing holiday less than 2 weeks ago, the only disappointment is that we wish we could have booked it for a bit longer!
All of our needs were superbly accommodated, we never had to ask for anything in advance. Really appreciated the check in phone call from the hotel manager after we arrived to our room, of which we had a free upgrade for.
Everyone we came across to was very nice and calm, can't remember all the names but the housekeeping team and the lovely guy in reception looking after the luggages were top! Also Martin, the Guest Relation Manager, is very friendly and kind.
We will definitely be back as we had a memorable holiday, see you very soon 😊
