Hotels on first line in Malta Island

The only downside of my stay here was the noise from the nearby construction site early in the morning, but well. That's not the fault of the hotel and it won't last forever. Anyways I'm really happy with my stay here :)

We had an amazing time at the Ddream Hotel! Everyone from the reception to the service staff was genuinely kind, attentive, and always smiling. They made us feel truly welcome from the moment we arrived

As a family traveling with a baby, we were especially impressed by how baby-friendly the hotel is. They went out of their way to accommodate our needs even preparing fresh fruit purée for our little one each morning

Good value for money! Decent breakfasts, clean and nice rooms. It was quiet inside even though there was construction just outside when we stayed there.

We recently spent a week at Ddream Hotel in Malta and had a fantastic stay. The breakfast croissants were especially delicious, and the staff's hospitality was exceptional

Such thoughtful touches make a huge difference when traveling with a child. The location is perfect close to everything but still quiet enough to relax

Breakfast was delicious and healthy, fruits, salad, feta cheese, cold cuts, also English type breakfast is available; there is also little tray with some sunflower seeds, prunes. The staff are very helpful and kind

Good Position at Sliema harbour , very easy to get a quickly boat to historic Valletta , many services there , restaurants , shops , groceries, waterfront opposite view valletta , to do special evening walk or Run , i find also quiet sleep in thursday and friday nights Stuff warm and welcoming

The location of the hotel is near all buses, to airport and Valletta, and other destinations in Malta, ferries to Valletta, and a lot of cruises around Islands; everything is just 5 minutes or less walking away

I had a fantastic experience staying at hotel Mr Todd! from the moment I arrived, staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. The room was clean, conformable, and beautiful maintained

My only complaint is that the matress could have been more comfortable but I still slept alright so it wasn't that bad. I'd definitley go back and recommend the hotel to others

Breakfast is good . Manager very accommodating. Wish it was not fully booked or would be there more nights . Great location. Price is financial friendly . Whats not to like .

On the top floor of the hotel is an sunbathing area and a small pool with lovely views out to sea. Cleaning staff looked after my room very well. All staff were nice and pleasant

Great location with easy access bus stops, close to the sea front and an array of restaurants

The curtains and bedspread were dirty. The elevator is showing its age. The lovely and friendly staff member was particularly amazing and deserves five stars. We were only there for one night

Good enough superb location.

Everything is great, - the service, the cleanliness, the bed, the facilities, except that most of the rooms have windows not to the sea, but to the well style small area inside the building, from where you can hear every time your neighbors have a shower or flush the toilet

The walls are thin so it was hard to not he waken up or skeep early. The housekeeper wakes you up by 9am "to collect the towel". It is annoying at times since they don't even clean until 1pm

This hotel offers great value for money, and its location is fantastic – right by the sea!

Excellent value! The rooms are spacious and clean, well-equipped, and the location right on the waterfront is great, too. We booked online and then paid €10/night extra for a room with sea views

Magical sea view Magical sea view from the balcony when the weather is calm but not when the weather is windy. The room was clean and mostly quiet but not when your room neighbored families during the weekend

We had a great stay at Europe hotel. There's a great selection of delicious food for breakfast. All of the staff we encountered were service-oriented, especially the two beautiful ladies from Romania and Serbia.

breakfasts were okay, nothing special, but there was a lot to choose from, we never left hungry. nice sea view from the balcony too! it's a bit hard to find a parking space close to the hotel though

The room was spacious, with a direct sea view, and fully equipped. The breakfast was excellent, and the hotel's location is fantastic, easily accessible from there to most areas of Mata by bus

Our bedroom was a direct sea view and even though the furniture was not so new, we had a great stay in there. Staff is brilliant: always available and ready to answer to all your requests

I like this hotel, bc the rooms are clean with sea view balconies. The breakfast is delicious and you can choose from a huge Ranger of foods. The accomodation located in a good place

There is a bus and a ferry station nearby. Also they have a gym, pool and sauna which are also good oppurtunities in case of bad weather. Valletta is very close approx

The rooms were clean and beautiful - I loved the amazing sea view The breakfast buffet was excellent – very tasty and with lots of different options every day

This hotel was very comfortable - it had strong wifi and was good value for the money (it even has a rooftop pool and GOOD AC)

My brother’s family (2 adults and a 6-year-old) stayed at the Spinola Hotel from 30 January to 2 February 2026 and had a very pleasant stay

The receptionist staff were excellent, especially Jay Naranja who made sure everything was comfortable and hassle-free. The hotel is perfectly located in a central area, making it easy to get around

The room matched the photos perfectly, although it wasn’t very clean and the bed could have been more comfortable. The location is great a just a short walk from the sea, with restaurants and public transport nearby

We are very satisfied with our stay at this hotel. The rooms were always tidy, the staff was great, and special thanks go to Jay (I hope I got the name right) who was always smiling and exceeded our expectations

In general, i didnt like the area though - overcrowded with tiny streets, it was stressful to walk around

We arrived in Malta from England with no accommodation for our 7 night stay

The taxi dropped us off at a cafe bar across the road from Hotel Roma and we initially only booked for one night as the price was cheap and decided to give it a one night trial

I would definitely recommend this hotel to anybody who just uses their hotel room as a base and do not be put off by the reasonably priced room! Ok we didn’t have a pool but we had the beautiful Mediterranean Sea right on our doorstep

Thanks to Dena who is a very kind lady we had a problem with another hotel. In the early hours of the morning we has no where to stay. Friendly clean hotel with wonderful views. Wonderful location near everything

Fast, cheap and good wine and food… This is a Small Simple Place that serves good value home cooked meals the service was first class… The rabbit was so tender and the sauce very tasty, bragoli also very nice… Really varied menu with lots of choice… Vegan Options, Vegetarian Friendly, Gluten Free Options…

Amazing hotel suites, part of the adjacent AX Victoria hotel so use of all the modern facilities including rooftop pool & bar. Rooms are grand and spacious, feels like you're in your own villa

The pool on the roof was absolutely amazing. The food was brilliant and the staff is perfect. The rooms were clean and spacious with nice balconies. View helte enkrlt placing over the old Valetta

This was one of the most pleasant hotels we visited! Despite the central location it was quiet and harmonious. A short walk down the hill so we were right in the thick of things, either bad or the shopping/culture

This is a Victorian style Hotel. Great food and Buffets, very clean. The staff are nice people and very helpfull. Racomended to all ages of Tourists especially those who like British culture like me.

I love this beautiful boutique hotel since the very first time I saw it. It is conveniently located and they provided a great service during our stay. Highly recommend and I will definitely return!

The biggest problem is that the pool is quite far from the hotel. There are also problems with parking at the hotel. But in general, everything is good

Excellent value for money with breakfast included, outdoor swimming pool 5 minutes walk away, ferry to Valletta right opposite, super convenient! Super friendly staff at the buffet and reception, as well as the cleaning team

And fyi there is no swimming pool in the building, need to walk over to another building. It is an ok place overall, i would not be complaining if the property shows the real and exact picture of the place

We stayed in the Superior Sea View room. terrace/ balcony with excellent views of the bay and the promenade of Sliema. The breakfast is delicious and varied, the reception staff is friendly

A unique, wonderful view from the hotel window to the capital Valletta. The service at the hotel is good. The operators are friendly and helpful. The food is delicious, the selection is quite wide

The only downside is the poor insulation: you hear every door slam as soon as someone leaves. But overall I am very happy with this hotel

Great stay for 3 nights with great food, we stayed half board. We paid extra for a sea view and it was an amazing view! Totally worth the money

The bar next door played music till 4 am but it didn't bother me, but bring ear plugs if it bothers you. Right on the sea front, such a perfect location!

Cheap price rooms. Hotel a little rusty but clean. Very close to the beach. And nice restaurants and bars really close.

it is a cheap place and at a great location .rooms are big and spacious lift is a bit scary but other than that it is a great place close to the heart of paceville and right across the road from the beach. love it!

Honestly can’t fault this place. Very good location and I got a beautiful view as kindly requested from my room. The decor is a bit worn however but for the price you can’t complain

This is paceville so expect to hear music in the night but it was perfect for me as I was right next to the strip. Doors are locked at night for safety

Both pools were lovely although being November I didn’t brave the roof top one. The little gym had enough equipment to do a basic workout although it was dated and probably didn’t get used a lot

Bolt taxi's used and we never waited more than 5 minutes. We always got a sunbed by the pool, considering it was peak season and not a huge space, I was surprised

WiFi never work. Very clean, parking so difficult, out door pool was nice & 24 hr reception service.

Pros- Very good location. Attentive staff. Free room safe. Clean. Good pool side area. Cons - Leaking shower tray. Repetitive basic breakfast. Small pool.

The hotel location is ideal, close to transport connections. All amenities were in great working order. And most importantly, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Looking forward to going back!

The staff lovely, friendly and very helpful. Location near to bars, restaurants, 10 min walk to bus depot and a well stocked large supermarket and just round the corner a little corner shop

I had a great stay at the Canifor Hotel in Malta. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the pool area was perfect for relaxing. The location is convenient, close to the coast and local shops

We were there for a festival so didnt need to spend much time in the room other than to get ready and to sleep. Dont let the other reviews scare you or put you off its definitely not as bad as what its made out to be

always smiling I booked early so I got good price 3 minutes walk from the sea and main bus stop to all over the island I advise people to stay there

Rooms are spacious and comfortable with simple amenities such as a small TV, fridge and kettle. The indoor pool is very nice with a jacuzzi and also a sauna. The bar staff are very friendly and the local beer is decent

When we got there we were very pleasantly surprised, it was clean and a very friendly atmosphere. The rooms are quite large and functional. I would definitely stop there again

This property was chosen for access to the airport. It was about 11 euros taxi ride, and very convenient. This is a working port town but a nice walk around the sea with a little beach. The hotel provides beach towels

We enjoyed the restaurant next door but there was one in the hotel and plenty of others surrounding the hotel. The staff was nice and the room was comfortable with a port view and balcony

Overall stay was great Wi-Fi was a little spotty the location cannot be beat

Short one night stay. I was pleasantly surprised by the amazing view from my room. The location is superb, right on the beach, very clean room, comfy bed. Highly recommend this hotel in Birzebbuga.

Lovely new beach-side elevator building. Room was clean, modern, with a balcony overlooking the water and the nearby container ships. The sandy beach is literally steps away

Public bus transportation goes almost to the doorstep. There is a ground-level restaurant which offers a 10% discount to people who have a room in the hotel

Location, location, location. In the heart of Sliema, with seafront view, right next to a bus stop. Also, a good restaurant inside.

I almost forgot to mention the WiFi here is absolutely terrible. It kept dropping and I had to manually reconnect every minute. Sometimes it wouldn’t even connect after re-entering the login info

Also the air conditioning couldn’t go on full blast but it was still able to cool down the room especially with the help of the ceiling fan. Overall, it was a decent experience

At least I had a roof over my head and a place to sleep so this place was alright for me. Thing is though, there are many downsides to this hotel, at least for me

The beds are squeaky and you can hear the pubs all around at night. The window for the bathroom smelled so foul when we opened it that we never opened it again

If you’re looking for a basic hotel for a decent price, this is it. Don’t expect anything close to luxurious. Heck there isn’t even a mini fridge in here

A lot of restaurants and beach shops line the street, and is a wonderful laundromat just 150’ from the hotel’s front door

I had a great time, the staff were welcoming and the location was excellent.

The staff couldn’t have been nice, when I discovered that they weren’t running any AC in the winter season, the front desk clerk still brought me a huge fan

I liked my time at the hotel, it’s close to all the fun places in st Julian and you can easily get a bus or cab or walk back at night.

Hotel very located, near to St. Julian's beach. Staff is also very good. Room is not large but it is OK for few nights.

Only down side I could find was the in-room hairdryer was basicslly ineffective - Made noises and smelt of burning when used but no actually abilty to use (only found out at 1am when no one was around shortly before i was leaving for a early flight)

We were here with my fiancee 4 times. Very good kitchen, nice atmosphere, live music and almost every day there was an offer of 3,4 courses like Malta night, all you can eat night and etc. Good prices and service.

Would definitely recommend and I would come back again

Location is good enough, especially when you are travelling by car as you are a 20 minute walk away from the city centre (parking is free on the street outside but you might have to walk a bit due to scarcity of place)

He was due to attend a funeral in my home city of Cardiff a few weeks later - I helped him with regards to the location of his hotel and the church, because it was in an area I know well I tried emailing him afterwards but I didn't hear back

I stayed in this hotel in February 2025 and I was very happy with the service. The room was basic, but clean and quiet - that's all I really need, and the bathroom was very modern and clean, with a decent shower

As students of EF, we know the rules and signs for it being 18 years of age do not give you the right to be rude and aggressive to someone whom render their service to ensure your comfortness

I hope his trip was a pleasant one, albeit under sad circumstances. In conclusion, this hotel is fine considering the price I paid

I have booked this hotel for 2 nights and requested double room and far from the elevator, non of my requested was attended. The rest was okay, breakfast was fair to the price paid

The hotel offers guests free and unlimited water bottle refills by the water dispenser in the reception, and the water is ice cold. Also the staff are super helpful and polite. My experience was very positive!

Steep 1/4 mile walk to bus route and out of the way. Local area run down and dirty. Roads and pavement uneven and not suitable for disabilities. Rooms outdated and worn out but kept clean

Visited here on October,The room was pretty decent and location was outstanding the ocean waves and birds literally the best morning view one can witness, the staff was nice n friendly, wasn’t too impressed with breakfast but meh 7/10

The views from the restaurant and pool sunbeds are unobstructed over the harbour itself, but at the same time the location is quiet and relaxing

Always someone at reception, free water. You can't control air con temp but it does work at least. Swimming pool is decent size and fine, we always found sun beds too

Quieter part of Malta compared to the mad part towns in the north. Hotel is across the road from beach but still has a pool. Breakfast and restaurant are a highlight of this affordable hotel

I would stay there again for sure, the location was great and the cafe bar near the pool was incredible, with a sea view. Also the restaurant is fantastic.

The lady desk (I guess she is the owner), very friendly and helpful, the check in process very smooth, the best part is this hotel have a swimming pool and attached with the restaurant, the restaurant have a delicious pizza, friendly staff and affordable price, I should come again, just a night at Malta is really nonsense, at least 3 days, I missed Malta already

One of the best things about this place is Linda, who waits on you in the pool area. While you relax and swim she's serves with a smile, nothing too much trouble. Foods brilliant too!She's a real asset to sensi

Suprisingly better than expected this hotel is less than half the price of most and you get a lovely sea view

It's out of season so a lot of facilties closed but we wouldn't expect otherwise tbh for the bargain price. Rooms clean, bed comfy, staff friendly. Breakfast was OK (extra but cheap)

Breakfast was also really nice and for a 2 star hotel and this price, better value doesn't exist. The walls are a bit thin and you can hear sometimes people from nearby room or hallway

The location is perfect! All needed bus stops are in 4min range. Starbucks is just behind a corner, also huge Welbee's supermarket is 5min away by walking

Thus, when considering this hotel, if you plan to stay at least some hours in the room, calculate how much roaming would you pay per day - and if it results in booking another, more expensive hotel, then go for it

It was a great budget hotel, super close to St Julian's streets, and with friendly staff, especially the night guys. However, it DOES NOT have Wi-Fi, and I had to spend 50 Euros for my Roaming Data

The walls and the carpets are too used , ugly spots on it. It need quick renovation !! The personell is kind ,helpful , they clean the room everyday If You need , change towels and sheets daily

Other than that, the breakfast was simple yet great; elevators working; hot shower and great overall room quality. If they fix the Wi-Fi situation, this would be super easy to recommend
