This property is beautiful and clean. Staff is welcoming, attentive and pleasant. The beach is stunning and the vibe is calm and zen. The room does not have a mini fridge which was very surprising to learn upon arrival to our room considering we are in a hot climate. The room also does not have a hair dryer or a coffee maker. In my opinion those should be included especially for the price of the room. The food was good however like everywhere in Tulum, extremely expensive, example you will pay around 30$CAN for a Margarita. There is a taco spot just accross the street which was good and comparable to North American pricing. The Starbucks is also right next to the hotel but the prices are absolutely ridiculous. All in all, I do not think the whole experience was worth the money spent. Because of these reasons despite the hotel itself being beautiful, I would not return.

Food quality an options need improvement. Mixology was average while some of the drinks weren’t that good. Price for all was high. Hence is why I give an average rating.

Great little hotel. All rooms are just a few meters from the beach and very centrally located in the middle of the promenade. There are numerous restaurants and cafes nearby.
One small drawback: Beach service doesn't start until 10:00. You can use the sun loungers before then, but there are no umbrellas available.

Tulum has really changed from time we were there. Everything is so much more expensive and couldn't get in beach due to seaweed. Had a few bad experiences where restaurants were automatically charging tips. We used to love Tulum but will not be returning. It's literally turned into Cancun

Sergio was amazing, our room cleaners kept it immaculate. Will definitely be returning, such a perfect spot for a honeymoon or girls trip.

I can honestly can not find anything negative to say about Ahau. It really was one of the best vacations we’ve ever had. The staff was amazing. The food was amazing, the room was amazing. Entire hotel was amazing. Service was top notch. The ocean was full of sea **** but the hotel was so good at cleaning it up from the beach. These guys work very hard. It takes them hours to clean the sea ****.
The concierge was absolutely perfect. They were always in touch with us. Also one thing I liked was we can ask for anything through WhatsApp. Any request any problem. I like that system a lot.

I felt like I was in nature the entire time. What a beautiful property in a natural setting, complete with sand walkways around the rooms. I felt so at peace here. The ocean was the constancy presence in my six day stay. I’m looking forward to returning soon.

food was decent but we saw our server once to order and then never saw her again. every time we needed service we had to go find someone. we were completely forgotten about.

This was great. It didn't blow me away, so no 5, but all the food was delicious and beautifully presented and well-portioned. Also the atmosphere was lovely, hip but not sceney.

Unfortunately success seems to have gone to the head of Casa Jaguar. What had been recommended as a Tulum staple turned out to be a mediocre outfit, resting on the laurels of its former glory. Cocktails were passable but not spectacular, food a bit hit and miss (catch of the day was a beautiful bit of fish, lovingly grilled but tough, tasteless prawns and gristly overcooked steak let the side down somewhat). Most disappointing was the reluctant, inhospitable service - dishes were forgotten but billed, with no apologies.
There are better places on the beach road.

My boyfriend and I ended up eating here because all the famous restaurants around did not accept card and we couldn't pull out cash. The cocktails were on the sweeter side but the food was delicious. Service was prompt and friendly. Space was beautiful and relaxing.

The service was very bad, but the food was good is why this isn't 1 star. 2 out of 7 mains were sold out, and an undiscussed substitution was made to an item we did order. The cocktails took about 20 minutes to arrive and the food even longer.

Very good and flavorful beets and cocktails. Service is fast and friendly. Ambiance is relaxed and casual. A bit pricey.
