This place's food is extremely delicious! Get the skirt stake or the fried chicken. Amazing food, well worth the wait. Speaking of which, the wait after we ordered the food was extremely long. We went there twice and both times the service was very very slow/non existent. They forgot our drink order once and the second time they had to place our food order twice.

Great service and even better food! The pasta is made fresh on site and in front of you. We are definitely coming back!!!

Fantastic food, good service. Point lost for lack of vegetarian options (it's​ the 21st century guys, vegetarians exist, deal with it). One option on the main menu isn't enough ... And salad's don't count... Also, the pizzas aren't great... As for the rest all very cool.

Food is great, but more globally inspired than solely Mayan. Woukd like it to be only local food and ingredients but understandable that this is done for accommodating most people.

Amazing and beautiful place with a very good quality food

Walking up into the restaurant we had no idea what to expect. The ambiance of this restaurant is breathtaking and exploring its many walk ways was amazing. Our group could not sit still at the table because we were too busy exploring the place. I give it 4 stars because our first table was right by a “remodeling” area and the chemical smell was overwhelming but they redeemed themselves by graciously moving us. I did the 8 course meal and it was sooooo good. The bone marrow trio and the rack of lamb are my favorite and the dessert presentation was spectacular. $260 for an 8 course meal and my boyfriend had a gratuitous size lobster dish is amazing. You could not pay that price in Texas at the best steak restaurants and get as much food as we did. We’ll be back upon our Tulum return.

Far out players. Maybe the most unique setting I have dined in..ever. Victor (server) is the jam..hooked us up with a lovely dessert when we mentioned we had a birthday in the party. The service is graciously attentive, if not slightly too spaced. Overall the energy is exceptional, matched with ambient music, romantic lighting, good looking servers and a diverse menu. But hookah-tokers beware. $120 FOR SHISHA. WHAT....did someone just reincarnate Machiavelli? Pawned!

Absolutely LOVE this bar and restaurant. EXCELLENT DRINKS and a wonderful Father and Daughter owners make this place feel like home whenever we arrive. We've not stayed there for Lodging yet, looks great, and we are making plans for that soon....

A lovely quiet beachfront bar with stunning views out to sea. Very relaxing atmosphere.

Imagine waking up in a plush bed and walking out your door into a grove where a dozen palm trees sway lazily, with colorful hammocks strung between them. The crystal blue ocean crashes into the rocks below with a pounding that stirs your heart awake. Sip on a mango smoothie and devour savory breakfast tacos while the sun starts a long day of beating down on the white-sand beach in front of you. Hop on a bike and explore ancient Mayan ruins, pristine beaches, and charming restaurants half hidden in the jungle. Return to Zamas tanned, hungry, and thirsty and have all your needs quenched at their restaurant, ¡Que Fresco¡. Sip a refreshingly tart margarita and munch on homemade tortilla chips and salsas of varying spiciness. Watch pelicans dive for their dinner in the cove and fishermen try their luck wading out with nets. Enjoy well-crafted entrees as the bottles of ice cold Coronas keep on coming. Get your toes tapping in the soft sand to the tunes from local musicians. Have a nightcap of mezcal before retiring to a hammock outside your casita. Watch the stars emerge against an ink-black sky as the strums of a guitar lull you to sleep. Contemplate how fortunate you are to be here. Repeat.

Note: We stayed at Zamas for four nights in the Coconut Grove. The restaurant was so good and the staff so friendly that we ate two of our four dinners there. Shout-out to Jonathan for his excellent customer service skills and for helping me discover a new favorite drink - mezcal de café. We can't wait to go back!

Very attentive and understanding staff, they gave us towels for the beach and watched our luggage when we showed up 6 hours early. Room was exactly as advertised, very comfortable in a beautiful coconut grove. Cocktails and juices from the restaurant were as good as most other places in Tulum.
