We were eight of us touring Morocco and I have no hesitation in saying that this property was one of the MOST GORGEOUS riyads I have ever stayed in. My husband and I stayed at La Maison Blue for 2 nights during our recent visit to Fes. The staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating, beginning with the front desk clerk running down the street to flag down our lost taxi driver and guide him back to the hotel entrance. Great location very close to food outlets and Blue Gate for self location. Great rooftop relaxation area and view, super professional staff Fatima and Noureddine who arranged for private pick up from train station and a porter at the gate to carry my luggage and direct me straight to the hotel. Excellent experience! This place is beautiful, well located, and each room is unique. The staff and owner were incredibly helpful to my friend and I dealing with some bank troubles, they helped organize rides and tours, and both dinners we ate there were amazing. Strongly recommended.

I had a lovely stay at Riad Tara.

I've mixed views on this one. I reached around 8pm and it took me 45 minutes to find this place. Fes is confusing and you will get lost so I'd have appreciated if the Riad had shared directions/ landmarks/ advice on how to reach them. I am surprised nobody else's review has this issue. I'm guessing they all took the train pickup service that the Riad offers. I didn't as it's much cheaper to take...

We stayed in the Amber room for Three nights. Spacious, massive bathroom, hot shower (not that you really need it), functioning aircon and wifi. Plunge pool a godsend after walking around Medina in 44deg! Not difficult to find after the first time, reasonable walk to restaurants, although catering was available. Friendly staff. The staff were very kind and I had a very comfortable stay. There was no hair dryer in the room, but I asked the staff and they were able to lend one to me for free. Also, the breakfast was delicious. I recommend it.

An exquisite setting from the courtyard filled with fruit trees to the spacious guest rooms appointed with local antiques. The food was superb, only exceeded by the gracious service. This is one of the most spectacular Riads in Fez. In a small, it is quiet, it is elegant. The service is impeccable and the food is amazing. This Riad is in a small quiet corner of the Medina. The staff was so friendly and breakfast was more than filling. Even though our room was a little small, we were comfortable and spent time in the courtyard and terrace. There is a Thai restaurant close and of course the Medina proper is just a few feet away. Friendly staff, good breakfast, unique washrooms made for a great stay in Fes. Riad is located deep within the Medina requiring a 10 minute hike to reach its location. Make sure you have the Riad send a porter to transport your luggage and guide the way. With over 9000 lanes in the Marina getting around can be challenging, restaurants offer to send someone to walk you to and from their facility.

We had a wonderful stay at the Ryad. Our guests, Simo and Ikram, gave us a truly Moroccan experience. The place is clean, food is good and is very well managed. Decent place to stay though on other end of the old town, but very quiet so we had a good sleep. There is no fountain in the courtyard so technically this is a “dar” rather than a “riad” which is a bit misleading as it alludes to something grander. Good breakfast, no cards accepted.

We went to Riad Taha for an authentic Moroccan cooking lesson and had an excellent time! First we went to the market to pick out all of the fresh ingredients and then went back to the Riad to cook it. I’d say the best food all trip!

The room I stayed in was spacious, well-lit, and very clean. The decor was a lovely mix of traditional Moroccan tiles and simple modern touches. The bed was comfortable, and I slept soundly every night. The bathroom had hot water, fresh towels daily, and was spotless.

I didn’t stay here, but dined at the riad’s restaurant on my last night in town — a wise choice on my part. Beautiful room and nice, warm people. Nobody selling us overpriced tours or pressuring us into buying lunch or dinner at the riad. A small hiccup with the breakfast, which was not ready in time but they more than compensated for that. As we were the only guests, they allowed us to keep the room until the evening, which was very much appreciated.

Old and dilapidated, everything was broken down, the windows weren't soundproof, the room was damp, and the bedding was damp too, making it difficult to sleep soundly at night. The reception staff were unprofessional, sometimes warm and sometimes cold. They would help with luggage, but offered no other services, and the breakfast was poor.
