There are quirks to staying in a riad. But they are worth enduring to experience the magic behind the big brown door of Karawan Riad. Tucked away on a back residential alley in the Medina its vibe is casual elegance. Its 7 unique suites are only accessible by stairs but the climber is rewarded with artistic visual treats in each and luxurious showers and bedding. There are common areas both on...
Our experience at Karawan was outstanding. The property is beautiful, quiet and convenient. The service was memorable- Omar,Neza and the entire staff provided us with everything we asked for and more. The food was very good. I highly recommend this riad.
Terrific location and excellent relaxing respite from the wonderful mayhem of the Fed Medina, which is very close by. NB you must book dinner in advance. Would definitely return. Loved it.
We had a great stay at Karawan Riad in Fez. Staff was wonderful, suite elegant and food yummy. It’s in the middle of the Medina just where we wanted to be.
Extremely good service, wonderful location. A definite place to stay when in Fes. Staff is extremely attentive and friendly. We would definitely come back.
its a wonderful place: clean, comfortable and luxurious. in a great location you will meet only great people; from the "doormen" through management

Great Value for money, friendly and attentive staff, and comfortable room made our stay very enjoyable. I briefly considered canceling my return flight.
We were eight of us touring Morocco and I have no hesitation in saying that this property was one of the MOST GORGEOUS riyads I have ever stayed in. This despite the fact that the stairs almost defeated me the first time I clapped eyes on them. Yet, surprisingly, it got better...and then, I almost did not notice the narrowness or the steepness. I understand the building dates from 1915...it is over...
This Riad was simply beautiful. Our room was perfect and the service is superb. Great location and experience. The interior courtyard has a beautiful pool. The staff were extremely attentive and kind. A must for a stay in the wonderful Fes.
This was me and my husband’s first place overnight in Morocco for our honeymoon & it was absolutely amazing!! The entire staff was so kind & accommodating. The riad is absolutely beautiful, such a calming, charming, incredible space. We truly could have spent our entire time in Fes just at the hotel! The restaurant was also incredible & we enjoyed all of our food. Special shout out to the milk pastilla...
My husband and I stayed at La Maison Blue for 2 nights during our recent visit to Fes. The staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating, beginning with the front desk clerk running down the street to flag down our lost taxi driver and guide him back to the hotel entrance. We stayed in a lovely room at the top of a confusing labyrinth of hallways and staircases, and were very grateful...

Amazing Riad, good location close to one of the main Medina gates, so a short walk from the taxi drop-off point. The staff is super nice, the rooms beautiful. Definitely recommended!
Wonderful staff but our room is dark, smelly and molds are on the wall of the shower room. Also the bedsheets smell like it hasn’t dried up properly!
We visited in the last week of August as a family vacation (4). Riad Letchina was a beautiful experience, from the service to the food and the exquisite architecture. Totally recommend the in house cooking by Fatema, absolutely delicious.
Great quiet place Stay was great room was nice breakfast was great best breakfast in 3 stays around Morocco. the Ryad was in the Medina however a very sleepy part which took about 10 to 15 minutes to get to where the shops and restaurants were located
interesting Very interesting. Provided a meal onarrival at 8:30 pm - very kind. enjoyed a lot. A riad is sort of a home or bed and breakfast - not a hotel very characterful. felt safe. thanks
Wonderful We were dropped off by our driver and met by a person from the hotel who escorted us to the Riad. We were welcomed with Mint Tea and given the option to have dinner. The Riad also has the ability to book tours with the Medina of Fez with experienced guides. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Excellent location, wonderful service from Haddou, the host.
Old city experience… Difficult access made it harder…
Great location very close to food outlets and Blue Gate for self location. Great rooftop relaxation area and view, super professional staff Fatima and Noureddine who arranged for private pick up from train station and a porter at the gate to carry my luggage and direct me straight to the hotel. They did this on departure also.Beautiful Riad also, I would highly recommend Adarissa.
Fantastic Riad, Fatima and Haddou were friendly and helpful. The locations is perfect as it’s not too complex to reach despite being in the Medina. Highly recommended
I highly recommend the riad. The location is perfect. Parking is a 5-minute walk and right in the medina. The food is delicious. Haddou and his team are very friendly. We would go back in a heartbeat. Best wishes, Peter and Nadine
Excellent experience! This place is beautiful, well located, and each room is unique. The staff and owner were incredibly helpful to my friend and I dealing with some bank troubles, they helped organize rides and tours, and both dinners we ate there were amazing. Strongly recommended.

I had a lovely stay at Riad Tara.
I've mixed views on this one. I reached around 8pm and it took me 45 minutes to find this place. Fes is confusing and you will get lost so I'd have appreciated if the Riad had shared directions/ landmarks/ advice on how to reach them. I am surprised nobody else's review has this issue. I'm guessing they all took the train pickup service that the Riad offers. I didn't as it's much cheaper to take...
We stayed in the Amber room for Three nights. Spacious, massive bathroom, hot shower (not that you really need it), functioning aircon and wifi. Plunge pool a godsend after walking around Medina in 44deg! Not difficult to find after the first time, reasonable walk to restaurants, although catering was available. Friendly staff. Genuine riad experience.
Quaint little riad with excellent service and a lovely courtyard. The bathrooms have a sulfur odor to them, and everything else is a little tired.

A perfect accommodation for the two of us in the old medina for 3 nights while busily touring Fes and Volubilis. An exquisite setting from the courtyard filled with fruit trees to the spacious guest rooms appointed with local antiques. The food was superb, only exceeded by the gracious service. The staff was attentive and eagerly accommodated special needs we had. We can’t recommend Ryad Salama highly enough.
This is one of the most spectacular Riads in Fez. In a small, it is quiet, it is elegant. The service is impeccable and the food is amazing. It’s in the heart of the old Medina, very near shops and restaurants in the vibrant city. This is my second time to stay there and I plan to go back on my next visit.

My wife and I stayed here on our honeymoon, Jerome(the owner) was so gracious to upgrade us to a suite. The staff were absolutely amazing and helpful. The entire riad was absolutely beautiful, especially our suite and the location was perfect for exploring the Medina. The breakfast every morning on the outside patio was so tasty. Absolutely positive experience from start to finish.
This Riad is in a small quiet corner of the Medina. The staff was so friendly and breakfast was more than filling. Even though our room was a little small, we were comfortable and spent time in the courtyard and terrace. There is a Thai restaurant close and of course the Medina proper is just a few feet away. The quietest spot we have stayed at during our time in Morocco.

Friendly staff, good breakfast, unique washrooms made for a great stay in Fes. Riad is located deep within the Medina requiring a 10 minute hike to reach its location. Make sure you have the Riad send a porter to transport your luggage and guide the way. With over 9000 lanes in the Marina getting around can be challenging, restaurants offer to send someone to walk you to and from their facility.
We had a wonderful stay at the Ryad. Our guests, Simo and Ikram, gave us a truly Moroccan experience. The place is clean, food is good and is very well managed. They made us feel like part of the family and provided services beyond our expectations. A must if you going to Fez without a doubt …highly recommended
The service is excellent. Simo and the cleaning lady were very accommodating and super friendly. Simo gave us great tips for the city. The room was very clean and large. The breakfast was also very tasty. Moreover, you can quickly get to the place if you don't get lost.

My family of 4 stayed at this hotel with a group. We had 2 separate rooms. My kids room wasn't particularly clean. The shower was missing a door. Other travellers had to change rooms due to mould. Decent place to stay though on other end of the old town, but very quiet so we had a good sleep. There is no fountain in the courtyard so technically this is a “dar” rather than a “riad” which is a bit misleading as it alludes to something grander. Good breakfast, no cards accepted.

Hidden gem in the old medina! Beautiful traditional design, calm atmosphere, and super friendly staff. A perfect escape from the city’s vibrant chaos.
We received a very warm welcome by Badr in his beautiful Riad in the midst of the medina! The room was extremely comfortable and very clean and the breakfast also very tasty. The room I stayed in was spacious, well-lit, and very clean. The decor was a lovely mix of traditional Moroccan tiles and simple modern touches. The bed was comfortable, and I slept soundly every night. The bathroom had hot water, fresh towels daily, and was spotless.
I stayed at Hotel Jnane Sbile for three nights during my trip to Fez, and I must say it was an excellent choice. Great meal, but even better service. Despite being very busy, Nawfal was friendly, funny and attentive, making our first meal in Morocco a truly memorable experience. Old and dilapidated, everything was broken down, the windows weren't soundproof, the room was damp, and the bedding was damp too, making it difficult to sleep soundly at night. The reception staff were unprofessional, sometimes warm and sometimes cold. They would help with luggage, but offered no other services, and the breakfast was poor.
Riad located in Medina not far from main sights. It was really beautiful inside. Ceiling in the room was very high and there were three windows inside. Administrator was very polite and caring. There were a lot of stairs inside.
The staff were incredibly kind! I was worried because they couldn't speak any English, but they helped me with things like airport transfers. I was also impressed by the daily room cleaning, with their thoughtfulness and attention to detail, tailored to the guests. My only complaint was that there were stains and dirt on the bath towels.
