Riad Nowara & Spa in Marrakech

I've just returned from a week long stay at Riad Shaden and I can honestly say that the welcome and hospitality that my partner and I received here was a key factor in making my trip to Marrakech so enjoyable.
Located around a 10 min walk from Jemma El-Fna (main square), it's a great location for exploring and also for getting a feeling for life in this historical area of the city. You can make you're way to all the main attractions and some excellent restaurants on foot.
The staff, Saiid and Mohammed, were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. They helped to organise transport to and from the airport and were able to provide advice on tours.
I loved this place and will definitely be returning the next time I travel to the city.

Have just returned from another excellent stay at Riad Shaden. It is an traditional riad with a lovely moroccan breakfast served to you each morning. We done the hot air balloon trip with Mohamed from the Riad which was such a great experience. I would highly recommend booking your airport transfers and trips through the Riad , the team make your stay as enjoyable as it can be. Look forward to another visit in the near future.

Excellent. The photos are accurate, the rooms are clean, lovely breakfast with great fresh orange juice and real, morrocan coffee. Best of all is the staff, who simply cannot do enough for guests and are extremely pleasant. Lovely roof terrace, too. I cannot recommend this Riad highly enough. If I had known beforehand that they offer excursions, I would have booked with them rather than my usual company. If arriving at night (you will be met at the nearby gateway by a member of staff) the walk to the Riad may look a little concerning but please be assured that this is simply the lifestyle in the fabulous, very old Medina and will become comfortable and familiar very quickly. Great place to stay!

Had a great weekend away at the Riad Shaden the staff were fantastic, very helpful and always on hand. The cookery class that they organised was wonderful and great and the trip to Atlas Mountains was fabulous the driver and guide well very friendly and helpful, the rooms were great and was great value it made are weekend a trip to remember

Back at Riad Shaden for the 9th time and the experience and enjoyment never wanes,the front of house team of Said,Mohamed and Imed cannot be more helpful,nothing is a problem for these guys they go out their way to ensure you get the most out of your stay. The behind the scenes team of Sanaa and Amal keep the rooms spotless and prepare a lovely Moroccan breakfast daily Situated in the heart of the old Medina this is a small oasis, peaceful and tranquil. The food they prepare on request at evenings is plentiful and tasteful,and they offer a selection of trips that cover most guests tastes. The location makes it a real Marrakech experience as you see every day life on the walk to the main square highly recommend this Riad as a great place to stay ,Look forward to seeing all the team again in October.

From the moment I arrived at the Riad, I feel welcomed and immersed in the culture of Marrakech. The hotel was traditionally inspired, I was welcomed in with tea and pastries on arrival and checked in with complete ease. The room I stayed in was a double bed with an en-suite bathroom, air conditioning was also in the room - which definitely helped cool me down after spending the day in the hot sun. The Riad is located a 20 minute walk away from the centre of the city and has markets dotted about throughout. It can be a little intimidating at first, but once I was there, I quickly picked up on the overall pace of the streets. The hotel was clean and organised and if you needed anything else, water, local knowledge, whatever you needed, the gentlemen at reception were more than happy to help. Although there’s mopeds and people walking/riding by, the Riad is located down a few alleys and puts it into a nice little spot that is quiet and comfortable, you truly wouldn’t realise you were next to a bustling street market. I had half board (breakfast and dinner) included in my stay, and I was completely blown away by the food, each and every night, it was phenomenal, cleaned my bowl multiple times because it was so good. The value of staying at Riad Shaden is brilliant, for the support, the knowledge and the welcoming environment, I would highly recommend staying here, and I wound stay here again when I return to Marrakech in the future!

Riad shaden is absolutely beautiful extremely traditional, staff were very welcoming especially Mohammed and syed. Breakfast was good apart from when we asked if we could have a coffee the morning of our (we asked the night before) departure as we were being picked up at 7am. We were told by Iman that we couldn't have coffee as the ladies were not there to make it, but we could have orange juice and yogurt. We just wanted a cup of coffee to see us on our way for our travels. It was quite disappointing to not be given a coffee, it was too early for food so we wasn't bothered about that.

Everything was fine, we stayed in a few riads, they were all good but this is not the problem. The problem is staying in the area where Riads are located, it’s Old Town, very dodgy, lots of scammers, people always follow pretending nice and willing to show the way to the hotel and then charging you for this!

Phenomenal place to stay! Really clean, amazing staff, no complains at all. Would highly recommend. The location looks a bit shady and somewhat far away from the main sites.

The guy at the front desk was very welcoming. He helped with check-in and taxi hailing, and even gave me a map to avoid getting lost. Thumbs up.
