A beautiful riad with meticulous attention to detail. You enter a magical atmosphere, immersed in the scents and typical architecture of Marrakech. The common areas are clean and well-organized. The room (Piovre) is beautiful, large, and well-appointed with every comfort, a comfortable bed, and a spacious bathroom (including a bidet). The breakfast is top-notch! Delicious and filled with many traditional products. Thanks to Antonio, the owner, who supported us even remotely, and a special mention to all the staff, especially Ibrahim, who was extremely kind and attentive to our every need. Highly recommended for a full immersion in the wonderful world of Marrakech.

It had a family-run hotel feel to it, so I was quite satisfied.

We loved our stay at the Riad!
The Riad was clean, great location close to the madina, staff were really friendly and breakfast was great. The Riad Interior is also beautiful.
The staff were really sweet, they knew we were traveling for our honeymoon and they prepared a heart shape cake with a bouquet of beautiful red roses! We really enjoyed our time there.

It was a good space just needs to work on the breakfast. Please provide more than one egg.

Great location, Riad was quiet and relaxed. Staff were very friendly and helpful, would go back.

Superb, clean, central little hostelry bang in the middle of everything. Ibrahim is a total gent. Breakfast is charming and the room is spotless with aircon and heating. We stayed in Pepper. Slightly tricky to find down winding narrow streets in the central Medina but worth it for the quiet and quick access to all the sights.

The ratings given are not truly representative of the quality of this riad, which we were rather disappointed with. The terrace offers a lovely view over the rooftops of Marrakech, and the breakfast is very good and varied. However, the rooms are very poorly soundproofed; guests returned late and chatted in the patio, which was very disturbing. Cleanliness needs improvement in both the room and the bathroom, which is rather outdated. We had booked a transfer between the airport and the hotel, but it never arrived because we hadn't been notified. Furthermore, it's not necessary to book a transfer; the journey is much cheaper by taxi. Overall, the value for money is quite disappointing.

What a lovely place, calm, relaxing and friendly. The staff could not have been more helpful and giving of their time and patience. On arrival you get a map and a wee tour of the immediate area so you know how to find your way to and from the riad. Ibrahim booked excursions for us and then met us to make sure we got on the right transport and when I wanted to go hot air ballooning at silly o'clock in the morning he was ther topersonally escort me through the medina to my pick up point. The ladies bake incredible cakes every morning for part of the huge breakfast and the yogurt is the best we have ever had. I have to say we have never had such good care taken us on holiday.

I want to say that, in all honesty, my rating would be a 4.5. There were two main highlights of our stay at Riad Le J: each room has AC and the staff is phenomenally helpful. Talking with Ibrahim was a treat, and he was more than happy to help us plan out our time in Marrakech with suggestions of where to go, what to eat, and friendly advice for the medina streets. The riad is very hard to find, but the staff realizes that. Before we arrived, we were provided a map of the three closest entrances and how to get to the riad, so while the riad is tucked away in the medina, you're not left on your own to find it. However, the map could use some bigger landmark pictures. You can see the current ones, but you've gotta squint.

Really not great You have to like the sparse decorations The riad is nowhere to be found When you call the hotel at 6 p.m., they tell you that there is no one there and they send you a Google link which doesn't work We explain to you afterwards that they are aware but they still send Minimalist room without comfort and noisy air conditioning Very average breakfast And when paying you are applied aberrant exchange rates higher than the official rate To be avoided

Good: The location is great. You can sit on the balcony and enjoy the sun and the view of the mountains.
They offer good food with fair prices. WiFi is available and you can pay by card. We liked the music as well.
Not so good: you may have to wait to get a place to sit. The place is almost always full.

This place is great - the food and service are impeccable. This our second visit to Marrakech and our second visit to Cafe des Epices!
Everyone rushes up the stairs to sit on the roof terrace (which is nice) but you want to sit on the first floor with the large windows overlooking the mini square. It's nice and cool and you still get the view. PLUS the interior fit out is awesome

A nice restaurant & bar, with a nice decor! A bit on a pricier side for Marrakesh but not expensive as such. Especially nice lounge vibe on the terrace. Definitely recommend for drinks on the terrace, haven’t tried the food so can’t comment.

Spent a few evenings here whilst in Marrakech, very nice place. Food very nice, good service and a nice selection of drinks. Cocktails a bit hit or miss, but they are one of only a few places that serve alcohol around. Can be very busy, best to book if you want to be guaranteed a table. The roof terrace is very nice.

Awesome experience! Great food, good service, and reasonable prices. Try to eat on the roof if possible. It filled up before 7:30pm on a Wednesday which surprised me, but it was definitely worth squeezing in!

Rooftop bar is very relaxed with a good selection of drinks including Moroccan beers. The views aren't that great but the service is very good. Beautiful building and courtyard. Well worth visiting to relax in the evening and watch the sunset.

Came here for drinks and some hookah. Nice happy hour prices. Good hookah. Just not so great service

What a great vibe this place has! Three stories and each story has its own unique feel to it. I can’t speak of the food because I only had tea and wine, but this is most definitely one of my favorite places in Marrakech. Aside from the incredible decor, the music and service are phenomenal! If Anas is your server, be sure to strike up a conversation with him. He is very sweet and remembered who I was every time I came back which is always so nice in a foreign place. Oh, and did I mention 2 for 1 happy hour drinks at every hour?! Wine not? ;)
12.12.2017 Anya
Nice trendy bar, serves alcohol (!) at a reasonable price (65dh for two 330ml bottles of beer on the "happy hour" - which is all the time. Can't be shared.) Staff are nice enough.
02.12.2017 Idriss
It would have been 5 stars if they didn't refuse to let us in because they don't serve Moroccans... Twice in different times. I only wanted to go there again because the first time was with a group of foreigners and not sure if they forgot about me or something but I really liked it there, 360 view, great atmosphere, nice drinks/prices, good service,... If you're not moroccan, Go!
08.11.2017 Chyna
Food was tasty, 360° view was awesome, decor/ambiance was nice, and alcohol is available (hard to find in Marrakech), but prices were a bit high for the area.
