Great Riad, perfectly located in the old Medina of Marrakech. Great staff and delicious breakfast, would come back anytime! Rooms quite small, but I guess thats normal for Riads in Marrakech.

We booked this riad for our first night in Marrakech because of the good reviews. I have to say we were utterly disappointed by our short stay and the way they (didn't) help us. We booked an airport transfer and gave the right flight number and info but a wrong arrival time (due to the time difference with where we live). Since this was our fault, we called the riad upon our arrival to Marrakech airport to tell the riad if it was possible to pick us up in that moment (we could have got into a taxi, but since we had already booked the transfer, we thought it was fair to give the riad a call first). They said they will send the transfer right away (the airport is about 10-15 minutes away from the riad). Half an hour later, the transfer had not arrived, and so we called the riad again. They said it was en route. AFTER AN HOUR WAITING, we received a call from the riad saying to pick up a taxi, THE TRANSFER WAS NOT COMING. They told us to pay a maximum of 150mad (but obviously the taxi drivers saw us waiting for a long time, so we ended up paying a lot more and arguing with the driver). Unpleasant. But that was not all. While we were waiting, sun went away and it was very dark. When the taxi driver left us near the riad (he couldn't get any closer, because it's inside the medina), we had NO CLUE as to how to get to the riad. We got lost several times, walking in the dark, without any indication as to how to arrive to our riad. We managed to find it and expressed our disappointment to the guy at the reception. He said he was very sorry and he will do something about it. NOTHING. Not even a glass of wine or an offer to have dinner. During the checkout the next day, nothing either. THEY EVEN CHARGED US 2 EURO for the map they gave us (!!!!!!). We were very very sad and disappointed and would not recommend this riad to anybody (since its value for money is not even close as to what you can find somewhere else).

What an absolute gem of a riad. Down a little cul de sac lane, where you rarely see, hear or smell noisy bikes and scooters, behind a big door, you'll find Said, Hamza and the rest of the team with welcoming smiles and helpful advice. Honestly, we couldn't have felt more at home and it was hard to leave.

We were celebrating a special occasion and stayed in the biggest suite, Dar Sultan which which is very spacious, bright and even has a balcony with a sofa overlooking the pool. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the room was very peaceful, with lots of different lights to create a warm atmosphere. The bathroom was big and shower was hot.

The roof gardens are really well laid out with loads of seating undercover or under the sky, and there's an upper area that has 360 degree views to the mountains and the city, perfect for watching the sunrise and sunset. There's a lovely young lady who keeps the whole area looking spotless with a smile, and in the morning, the two ladies making breakfast are always happy and laughing. You get a real feeling that the whole team are happy, which certainly made us happy too!

We would highly recommend staying at Fleur d'Orient and on your way into the medina, Simple Speciality coffee on Dar el Bacha do a fantastic coffee, with oatly oat milk!

We absolutely loved our stay at Riad Fleur d’Orient! The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, giving us tips and recommendations for our stay. The breakfast each morning on the rooftop was wonderful, with coffee, juice, bread, eggs, pastries and more. The location is wonderful and peaceful, yet we were just minutes away from the hustle and bustle. Couldn’t recommend this Riad more!

Getting to the hotel through the dirty alleys with cat poop was not nice. The distance from the main transport was far, we had concerns about safety but it turned out to be quite safe. The staff were very helpful, courteous, and willing to do what was necessary to make our stay a pleasurable one.

Lovely riad! The staff were so friendly and helpful. In a great location for exploring the medina. Would recommend having the private transfer to and from the airport. One of us is gluten free and the breakfast provided was so good. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Arrived and soon thought I wasn't going to like it. It wasn't quite as luxe as they imply and some of the photos on the website artfully make it look bigger than it is. Some of the furniture around the pool is a bit dated (and quite uncomfortable). However, it soon became apparent we were going to be looked after very well, and we were. The two lads in their sultan suits, Hamza and Said, couldn't do enough and the roof terrace really is a wonderful place for relaxing. We opted for dinner in on the first night and at E50 per head it didn't really live up to expectations. There also wasn't any hot water on the first morning. BUT, the riad really is beautiful, with enough space to spread out, and the service we received was second-to-none. I'd go back.

Our family went to the cafe for lunch. My daughters wanted a Henna tattoo and they were so patient and well done I got one as well! Food was good and great teas :)

I read great things about this cafe and opted to go here, bringing my sister along, over any other henna artist in the city. While my sister's henna ended up being good, mine was smudged while the artist was transferring me over to the drying area and then was half-way fixed after the fact. The older female artist noticed my distress over the messy areas and tried to fix them, but given that it has partially dried, the henna had already stained some. When I asked the owner whether the smudged areas would show he said yes, they would appear a bit messy. I then asked whether it could be fixed and he said that I could wash it off and try again. Not wanting to go through the 45 minute-long process over again, I asked if a slight discount could be taken given that the finished product was less than perfect, through no fault of my own.

He stated that no discount could ever be given and I could either wash it off and leave (the tint already having partially dyed my skin) or I could pay full price. He then, aleady defensive and angry, briefly spoke to the artist in Arabic, who told him that I had moved during the drying (several others there can attest that I did not). Contradicting his earlier statement, he went back and said that it would look just fine once I took it off, not messy at all. We left having paid full-price at a premium rate (given the reputation of the cafe), as I didn't want to further disturb other clients, for henna that was messy. The beauty of henna is that it's imperfect, but clean lines are desired in nearly any form of hand art. This is just shoddy work and poor business practice.
