Riad Les Oliviers & Spa in Marrakech

Found this riad to be absolutely fantastic, the location was spot on being in the centre of Marrakech. The whole experience from the fantastic attentive staff to the rooms was everything you could wish for. Well done.

Stayed here for 4 nights on a half board option. Couldn’t fault the staff they really worked hard to make sure you were happy. The smell when you entered was amazing. Riad was very clean and maid service was daily. Short walk to the start of the souks leading to the main square. There was another smaller square taking a left at the exit from the small street which had everything you needed and less busy. On hindsight I would probably stay here for 2 nights then go to the new town for the other 2 nights. I wouldn’t go half board as the service was slow in the restaurant which is fine if you are happy waiting. There is no alcohol served here either. The swimming pool, was a nice bonus as it was 30 degrees when we were there. Would have been nice to kick back with a beer. Spa was great and would recommend the Hammam. Would return for sue.

Friendly ; Authentic ; central Riad . Staff could not do enough for you ; food at Breakfast and throughout day was very good. Rooms kept clean daily . Location allowed for 10 min walk to most sights; Souks and Restraunts. Quite and Serene atmosphere. Spa treatments excellent.

This was our first time in marrakech and first time in a Riad , it can be quite an experience from being dropped off by a taxi to getting to the Riad , On arrival the staff were very friendly and helpful so a big thanks to them . the place itself is very clean and wonderfully presented , keeping all of the tradition of a Riad . food from the restaurant was very good . very close distance to walking to the local sights . noise level was fairly high but it does quiet down through the night .

it was pleasunt experince with staff and people around the riad. They are very warm and supportive. We had really good breakfast and dinner this place. The price for lunch and dinner is very economy. Special thanks to the person osama he is very cooperative and guided us through map and organized the tuk tuk trip in market.

We had a lovely break in Marrakech at Riad les Oliviers. The ambience was very pleasant and the staff were welcoming and friendly. The riad was clean and quiet. There were a couple of little niggles - the bathroom door didn’t close and the restaurant was very cold. We would have had dinner here more than once if it hadn’t been for that!

Le Riad des Oliviers was the perfect place to stay in Old Town Marrakech. We visited the first week in January. We were met at the drop-off point by staff from the riad and escorted down a small lane to our accommodation. There was a rather lengthy wait in the main courtyard before we were given our keys, but we were served mint tea and home-made biscuits. I think the hotel might want to reconsider this approach, as it turned out that the wait was for a member of hotel staff to outline the trips and extra paid-for facilities on offer to guests. There were quite a few new arrivals that day, and my husband was not happy at being made to wait to get into our room. However, this was just a minor blip in what was otherwise an excellent stay. We were travelling with my son and his girlfriend. Our room was a superior- named Oujda- and was on the first floor overlooking the interior courtyard. At first glance, it seemed rather small: there wasn’t a great deal of room either side of the bed, you had to clamber over the settee to reach the built-in cupboard wardrobe and there wasn’t a great deal of room to keep your suitcases. The lighting was also very dim in the bedroom. However, the bathroom was a good size and there was a good vanity light over the washbasin. But- the longer we stayed, we realised that the historic nature of the building accounted for the size of the room, and we began to appreciate its quirkiness. It was traditionally decorated and beautifully clean. There were cleaning members of staff on duty until late in the day, keeping the hotel spotless! It smelled divine, thanks to the oil burners dotted around the courtyards. Our towels were changed daily, and it was the chambermaids who reported a problem with our air conditioning unit which wasn’t heating the room sufficiently. This was attended to quickly and an oil-filled electric radiator was brought to our room for the hour or so it took to fix a problem which we hadn’t realised existed! The staff were very solicitous. NB There is no lift at the riad and the stairs at our end of the building were very narrow with low ceilings. This may be a consideration for some visitors with reduced mobility. We were very impressed with the restaurant. This was on the second floor, up a few steps in a room giving off conservatory vibes, but it was well furnished and comfortable. The waiting staff were fantastic! My son is vegan and for this reason, we’d chosen to go full-board at the riad. They really did well to ensure that he had some variety every day, and our meals were great, with a good mix of traditional Moroccan dishes and Western-style meals. NB There is no alcohol served at the hotel. The breakfast offer was amazing, with the usual self-service buffet (but fantastic fresh fruit and a lentil dish and sautéed vegetables on offer, also), but there was fresh, local bread and a variety of baked goods, different every day, on offer, too. Excellent location, friendly service. Hotel is an old building, so don’t expect western luxuries, but you get traditional food in their restaurant, local feel and the full Marrakesh experience.

Lovely Riad, with charm and character, our room was based on the 1st floor, room Oudjha, it was quiet at night couldn’t hear traffic noise. I asked for more lighting in the room so we could read at night, staff quickly obliged. Breakfast was nice with fresh fruit, dates, prunes, selection of cheese and meat, with bread and pastries. Shower was wonderful with plenty of hot water and fluffy towels. I wish the Riad would spend money on more comfortable beds, pillows and bed sheets though, we found the bed hard and uncomfortable. Spotlessly clean Riad. The location is brilliant, hotel staff walked out to meet taxi and assist us through long alleyways. Big criticism is motor bikes through streets, but that's a general issue in and around the Medina. Have your witts about you in the souks, as very busy and vibrant area.

Fabulous stay just cold in the evenings at this time of year especially on desert trip in December gets very chilly but fab
