Superb riad. The hosts are the friendliest and most helpful I've encountered in Morocco. The room I stayed in was comfortable, clean and stylish. The roof terrace is beautiful, a delightful place to eat breakfast each morning and relax in the evenings. Located right next to the Bahia palace gardens mean it feels like an oasis amongst the noise and bustles of the Medina. Although it's a little more expensive than neighbouring riads, it's worth the price. Highly recommended.

We stayed for 6 days and the staff was incredibly kind and helpful (particularly Mehdi, Samir and Samira). The riad itself is beautiful, and our bedroom (Marrakech) was great, with two windows to the patio, air conditioning, nice bathroom,... This room seems to be the most private of all. The location is near the Medina, although it could be better (10 min walking from the center, not the cleanest streets around). I would have appreciated to receive detailed instructions on how to arrive (Google maps might not be enough the first day), but it was easy to find once you know the location. Then, I would say the shuttle (20€) is worth. The breakfast was good, although it was too much sweet for us (Moroccan salad for breakfast would have been great). The internet is not bad most of the time. Overall, a very recommendable and cute riad, where we felt very well treated and comfortable.

Very nice hotel, with extremely friendly staff, nice rooftop and tasty breakfast. I can recommed you get in touch with the hotel before travelling by car as Google Maps will not be of help for parking nor getting to the hotel.

With the help of Samir we parked our car at the parking at Rue Riad Zitoun el Jdid (North of the entrance to Bahia Palace), for cars this street is a dead end as it turns into a souk. When navigating to the parking, the only way is to arrive from Rue Bahia Bab Mellah (Southwest). If your navigation suggests otherwise, do not follow it or you will get lost with your car in the medina as we did. 😀

Then you walk to the hotel through Rue de la Bahia, so you approach the hotel from the North - Google Maps is incomplete with the alleys and the hotel isnt even connected to a street.

Beautiful little riad, lovely friendly staff and the best mint tea I had whilst in Marrakesh! If you are looking for a 5 star hotel with all the bells and whistles don’t book, but if you want to be in the heart of Marrakesh and really feel where you are this is perfect! The breakfasts were traditional and lovely! The cooking class we had with the chef was great! A lovely place that is truly charming, is tricky to find the first time but if you are like us and got so lost we called and they FaceTimed us and guided us that way, once found it was fine finding the way back even after a few drinks. We will definitely be going back. It was wonderful and so easy to walk to everywhere in the medina area.

A little gem! Lovely Riad wonderful helpful staff and fantastically situated in easy walking distance of most things! Finding it the first time is a little challenge but once found finding it again is fine. Breakfasts were traditional and lovely! I will be returning.

We had a wonderful stay at Riad Swaka and were warmly welcomed by Mohamed when we arrived. The riad itself is beautiful – our room was clean, cozy, and always well taken care of throughout our stay.

The location is perfect: right in the heart of the old Medina, just next to the impressive Ben Youssef Palace. Breakfast was delicious every morning, and the atmosphere around the pool was peaceful and relaxing.

A special thank-you to Abdul – he was incredibly kind, always available for a nice conversation, and genuinely interested in making sure we were comfortable. You can really feel that the hosts here take their time to understand your needs and wishes.

We highly recommend Riad Zwarka to anyone looking for an authentic and warm stay in Marrakech.

I cannot recommend this place highly enough. It’s the lovely staff that are the best thing about it: on our first trip to Marrakesh, we were made to feel so welcomed, reassured, safe… Samir and Abdul went out of their way patiently to answer all queries and give guidance on, for example, what we should be paying for taxis, as well as the usual recommendations for restaurants etc. The rooms are lovely, simple and stylish with attention to important detail such as really good bedding and decent shower. Air conditioning. Lovely roof terrace, great breakfast- which is a bit different every day. Everything immaculately clean and efficient. The riad is hard to find at first but you soon get to know the route and wave hello to friendly shop keepers and cats! The staff give you their number in case of need and arrange cars to and from the airport - they meet you and guide you as the taxi can’t get right up through the alleys. Only other thing is that there is some noise from other guests coming and going I think that’s just the riad set- up. All in all I consider this place to be fantastic value. Samir, Abdul and lovely, smiling staff all round made our stay so relaxing and enjoyable.

Highly recommended Riad
Very nice and cosy Riad. Great breakfasts and good wifi! Small pool on the roof for those days when it gets really warm, great if you have younger children. Superfriendly staff!

Restaurant El Bahia is situated next of entrance of Bahia Palace. It obviously was part of this historical palace. Restaurant El Bahia has one of most beautiful enterior of restaurants I have ever seen.
Besides of amazing looking you will find a great and nice staff, and an excellent kitchen. Prices are not low related to other places in Marrakech, however, quality and size of meals and side dishes make Restaurant Bahia a very good choice.

Lavish interiors downstairs, plainer on the roof terrace. Mint tea wasn't very strong. Patisseries were delicious, though. We felt a bit sorry for the tortoises wandering about on the roof.

The restaurant has a beautiful interior and is from the 16th century. It was very relaxing eating here and the food was very delicious. The service was top notch. I don't know about pricing as we were invited there part of a conference dinner.

I’ve come here twice with Indonesian groups that I led. The last one was in end of November 2017. Located in the middle of the Souk (market) and only five minute walk from/to Bahia Palace, Dar Es Salam is like an oasis. The exterior part looks nothing but a humble building but once we enter the door, we know that it is a very nice place. Yes, it’s an exquisite restaurant. The interior reflects the beauty of Moroccan architecture. This restaurant was not only giving us a culinary experience but also a cultural experience.
The food was super delicious. We really enjoyed Chicken Tagine. There was another big group eating almost at the same time as our group and I guess that’s why there was a live music of two guys playing traditional instrument on stage and a beautiful woman came up as a belly dancer. Very cultural and entertaining!
The restaurant has a small room for prayer, for 8-10 people, in the second floor. But, since, some of participants are senior citizen and had difficulty to walk up, the restaurant finally provided a space at one of its dining rooms on the ground floor for the senior citizens to pray. Thank you for the thoughtful consideration.
I definitely would love to come back with more groups in the near future.
