Very cool traditional building. Staff were all lovely and accommodating and the breakfast included is amazing. Its location is ideal for walking around central Marrakesh. It is a pain to get taxi’s to however and locating it for the first time was a challenge (might have been a skill issue). Would highly recommend for anyone wanting to stay in the old city.

We had an absolutely magical stay at Riad Dama and Spa. Stepping inside from the busy streets is like entering a true sanctuary. The traditional architecture and the central courtyard pool are simply stunning.
Our room, the Casablanca, was beautifully decorated, comfortable, and spotless—the perfect place to retreat to after a day of exploring.
What truly sets this Riad apart is the staff. They were all exceptional—warm, attentive, and went out of their way to make us feel at home. They helped us organize transfers and gave us brilliant tips for navigating the Medina.

Would highly recommend this place for any first time visitors of Marakesh, the Riad felt like a nice retreat from the busy parts of Marakesh.

This place is amazing!
For the second time in Marrakech and I choose Dama Riad always.
The staff and the owner are very friendly, the rooms are typical and very clean.
The hammam and massage are a wonderful experience for the relax.
The food is very very good

We went on a girls trip to Marrakech and Riad Dama & Spa was an amazing safe haven for us. It was peaceful, authentic and clean. Mohammed was also an amazing host! Very positive and kind. We have laughed like never before and would love to come back.

Where do I start, the Riad was in 1 word PERFECT! Thank you sooo much to the whole team of Riad Dama to make us feel save in busy crowded Marrakech :)
The breakfast was fresh made and really good! Rooms very clean and everyday new towels and bed sheets.
Hammam & Massage was good! The riad was our 'save space' to come to after a busy warm day.
The team was always smiling and helpfull.

From the moment we arrived, Riad Dama & Spa felt like a peaceful retreat in the middle of the city’s vibrant energy.

The location is spot-on—tucked away just enough for quiet, but still walking distance to the medina, souks, and key attractions.

The staff? Absolutely wonderful. Warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed—be it directions, spa bookings, or a fresh mint tea.

Rooms were clean, charmingly decorated, and gave that authentic Moroccan vibe. The courtyard and rooftop terrace added the perfect touch of calm after a day out exploring.

Cleanliness: Excellent
Service: Friendly, attentive, and genuine

Highly recommended—especially if you’re looking for a riad that blends charm, comfort, and warm hospitality.

Booked this place as I wanted to experience something different rather than standard hotels. The place looks tired, it’s not clean at all, there is no light in the bathroom, bugs in the room, they also have a cat onsite which we found hiding in our room. Breakfast - no comment. Breakfast served outside which would be okay in the summer. We travelled in January and it was absolutely freezing. You get served a pancake/crepe, pastry and jam. Also, the area is not the safest but a good location, walking distance to most attractions or the meet up point for excursions.

The location is perfect with easy access to everything the medina has to offer. The riad itself is beautiful and our room is very comfortable. This is a guest house, not a hotel, and they treat you like family, not like a customer, which my wife and I absolutely love. To me, that is what makes Riad Dama exceptional. The staff are all incredibly kind, thoughtful, and helpful, especially Jamal. He texted me before we even left Colorado, and has been an incredibly gracious host. I cannot recommend Riad Dama and Jamal enough. It has been an absolutely magical experience so far, and I am happy we still have a few days left.

Jamal and Chipo, are the most attentive hosts you could ever wish for! This is a charming oasis of calm in the middle of the bustling inner-Medina, with a peaceful roof terrace for a quiet suntan. The rooms are cool with very comfy beds. A lovely hammam and jacuzzi give an added luxury.

Such a wonderful week spent at riad dama. The hosts Jamal and Chipo were always there to help with any advice and recommended the best locations. We had the most relaxing massage on the final day and wished it would never end, thanks to Melaka and Hamsa! Can’t wait to come back!

Cheap, nice owner and good wifi. At least during winter time rooms can be bit cold and moist. Bad location.

Very basic and no one speaks English. The owner tried to scam me into paying more by showing an outstanding balance from another customer and saying I owed too, even after I showed him my confirmed booking and payment. The internet here is atrocious as well.

The place is clean but the location is horrendous. Be careful with the caretaker as he will offer you advice on which shops to go to, but they are all his friends (ie they will give him a commission) and will swindle you with ridiculous prices. I wouldn't stay there again despite the prices being very reasonable simply because the location is awful. Also if you stay here you should plan to be back by midnight as we had an unfortunate experience of being locked out because the caretaker fell asleep
