I had a very poor experience with the Wi-Fi in our room. The connection was extremely slow and unstable, especially in the evenings when it often felt more offline than online

Given the hotel’s location, the vast majority of guests arrive by car, so it would make much more sense to include parking in the reservation price rather than charging separately afterwards

Lobby bar in art deco style have big choice of cocktails and atmosphere in the evening with life music is also pretty cozy. Wit big benefit of Aqua park!

Its clean, free towels, and lots of entertainment(check what's available as the list is long) for all ages, we have been there with todler. There are also really nice saunas and ice cave and silence zone

Corridors are really well maintained, they smell so good and very clean! The buffet breakfast and dinner are divine. The aquapark under it is very nice, with lots of hot tubes inside and outside

A hotel which is run very well. I would ideally give 4,5 stars because the furniture is old-fashioned but other than that everything is pretty flawless, especially the service and the food.

For adults in a supposed 5 star hotel it’s very very poor. Pool and kids facilities are excellent. Eur 10 for a half glass of cheap white wine. In the supermarket a bottle is probably less than that

I found this situation very problematic, both from a customer service and honest dealing perspective. Seems to me this is how the hotel makes extra income, by charging guests for lost towel cards

It was a nice bonus having our own sauna in the bathroom. The spa facilities were well designed and very relaxing. Only the pool area was getting quite busy at times with families with children

Access to the pool area is dangerous - very slippery (not only for kids, for adults as well). Generally a nice hotel, with great food, but I wouldn't even consider going back there with small kids

Live music in the evenings! Generally this is how I immagine a modern 5 star hotel. Of course there are mistakes here and there: a broken window handle here, a missing toilet paper there, but no big deals

If you dont opt for halfboard, try the Burger 🍔 simply outstanding On each floor there is a water dispenser for free to refill your provided carraffe. ( who needs a minibar nowadays?) Superb and sustainable

Hotel is located 15 minutes walk from main Old Town Square. It has large parking additionally paid just near entrance. The biggest advantage is 15 m swimming pool. Man taking care of that was very helpful and kind

The hotel is located in a peaceful area. Walking time to Katowice station is 10-15 mins. Only is sauna and gym are in another building next to the hotel. The staff was kind, and wifi worked well.

In the city center, it is very convenient for eating and supermarkets. There is an underground parking lot. The rooftop restaurant has a good view

The Monopol is an outstanding hotel. The accommodations are excellent, and the breakfast and dining service is of the highest quality. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Monopol while on business in Katowice.

I had an awesome breakfast with a variety of delicious options, the juicer is amazing for ginger and apple shots. In the evening we ate at the restaurant and that was the best meal I have ever actually had

The only thing to bear in mind is that in the street-facing rooms you can hear a bit of the city noises (trains passing by, etc. ) through the close windows, so if you want a complete quiet ask for a courtyard-facing room

As for the facility, rooms are not too large, but comfortable and very clean. Some have Nespresso machine too. Breakfast is excellent, comprehensive of a large variety of quality foods and kind staff

We bought a stay with a breakfast package and it was a great idea. The food was variable and very tasty. After the whole day of walking, we were relaxing in the pool and sauna area

The pool area, albeit smallish, was sufficient. People did not overcrowd it much, we could swim and use both the jacuzzi and sauna. I appreciate the true Finnish style sauna which went up to 102 C

We went to Polanica for romantic weekend. It is a really beautoful hotel, located in the quiet area of Polanica, but still 10 min walk front the main street

Hotel itself offers two great restaurants, fantastic recreation area with swimming pool, saunas, and sun terace. SPA offer itself is reachest I've seen and Staff is very professional and friendly

The food is rather good as well. The only downside is the price of course, it's slightly more expensive than I would expect (~20% less). However, you get what you pay for. Will definitely come back to revitalize

Probably the best SPA-Hotel in Poland. Service is attentive but not overwhelming. There is a nanny service too so your kids are going to be taken care of while you relax. Pool area is fantastic with the open air jacuzzi

Many individuals wore swimsuits, even in the Finnish sauna, contributing to the lack of information about healthy sauning. Furthermore, the slippery floor was a safety concern

Additionally, the excessive lighting drew attention to the saunas, and loud conversations disrupted any chance of a relaxing atmosphere

The Bio sauna was out of order, and both steam saunas were not functioning properly, with no showers available

The kids' zone in the wellness area was particularly impressive

Swimming pool is prepared for relaxed and sport swimming. There is nice area for young kids. Lifeguard is present the whole time. There is kids play room, but amount of toys was limited due to pandemic restrictions

Especially pizza was really mixed experience, once we ordered, it was exceptionally good, other time it was ok (the ingrediencies were not right, but this was almost last day before lockdown), and pizza for lunch/diner served in this heated thing is not a good idea

There is one really odd thing, when You order Pizza from outside business they will deliver to your room, which is not the case when you order pizza from hotel restaurant, for which you have go downstairs by your self

Perhaps the highest quality stay I've ever enjoyed anywhere, + wonderful location and setting. In stark contrast to these positives is the appalling "captive" WiFi system that the hotel provides for its guests

I'm aware that other guests have complained about it too, and am at a loss to understand why the hotel's management is so reluctant to change it
