I had a very satisfactory stay at City Backpackers @ Clarke Quay. The staffs were helpful & friendly (shoutout to Jason!), and the facilities were clean and new. I stayed for 2 days 1 night in a 6-bed group / family private room and had an amazing experience. The social atmosphere was the highlight, Ideal spot! Just a 5-minute walk to the Metro train station and surrounded by cheap local food stalls, nearby Clarke Quay and Boat Quay for nightlife activities. I will definitely consider staying there again.

Very strategic place. Easy to get to MRT or tourist site by walking. But the reception was not 24 hours, so when you need to so early check-out, you need to say good by to your deposit. The toilet also sometimes smells bad

Reasonable prices hostel/guesthouse. Shared bathroom and all rooms have AC. We didn't like the showers, no soap supplied and it was somehow dirty. It is a great value though very centrally located (couple meters away from Clark Quay MRT)

The hostel is great. Staff is really friendly with good customer service and personality. Understood they previously had some issues with hardware and pest issue, but seems to me a lot of hard work was put into to recover and salvage. In all fairness, it's Super prime location in the heart of Singapore tourist attraction. Price is ultra value for money for what you are getting. Highly recommended!

Awful!! Doesn't look like the pictures at all. Rooms are dingy, smell of mould and look like horror film set. Sheets and mattresses are very worn out. One of the showers was broken and the other one had used bandages stuck on the wall. "Breakfast " is just bread and jam, not even a toaster. I've backpacked to over 20 countries in the last 15 years and this place was one of the very worst. It needs a total refurb. Location is good and staff are helpful but after one night I got the heck out of there.

I love the location of the Hostel. The staff were helpful and kind. You can rent a towel at the reception and buy an adapter there as well if your chargers aren't compatible with the plugs. Overall, a good accomodation for the price. We'll be back for sure.

The owner of the city backpackers is very accommodating, bubbly, and easy to talk with.

However if your going to ask the place itself don't risk!

1. Bed has bedbugs
2. Toilet is broken
3. Shower is also broken and not good.

I'm giving one star because it's not possible to give less stars. Please AVOID THIS HOSTEL AT ALL COSTS. It is FULL of bedbugs in every single bed, wall, pillow and your body will be FULL OF THEM and their bites in just a couple of hours of being there. The hostel is really dirty, smelly and dark. Bathrooms are not clean and there isn't enough of them for the guests. I know Singapore is expensive but I paid 30€ for the worst room I've ever slept in and there is a lot of offer of hostels in the city.

Riverwalk Tandoor is one of my highly recommended restaurants for both locals as well as tourists because : It serves authentic indian cuisine with great service, it is conveniently located just a stone's throw away from clark quay mrt, It is situated in one of singapore's most iconic locations along the singapore river, & is affordably priced even though its situated right in the heart of the city. The restaurant has been at this location for 19 long years and in Sept 2017, it went through a major revamp in design, space layout, furniture, buffet presentation style and of course a new menu too. . The revamped restaurant is now better positioned to cater to both singaporeans and tourists alike, with a well stocked bar facing the river, an al fresco area which is great for block booking or corporate events, and of course the air conditioned interior with its island shaped buffet . Kudos to the management team for breathing new life into the restaurant ….this will be my go to place to chill

Aunty tried to sell us dishes(the obviously most expensive dish on the menu) that we already said we didn't want to have, she kept insisting even though we had in mind what we wanted to order. Food was crappy, not worth paying for. The 1 star was more towards the service, if I could, i would have given an even lower.

Dishes actually tastes ok, similar quality as JUMBO. Both very expensive. Not good value considering the portions and price, but okay for tourists to satisfy their crave for pepper crabs once in a while.
