Kn Aparthotel Columbus in Playa de las Americas

Third visit here with our group in a room only basis.. Ticks most of the boxes once again. Clean,location geat,staff are helpful. Pool can get a bit noisy some days, but would return once again.

There’s something disarming about KN Aparthotel Columbus in Tenerife. It isn’t flashy or trying to sell you an illusion. It’s a place that knows what it is: a comfortable, lived‑in base camp for people chasing sun, late mornings, and maybe a hangover or two. Three nights here on my own felt less like an escape and more like a quiet reset. The balcony views stretch wide and forgiving, the poolside hums with a rhythm that makes you forget the clock, and the staff move with that easy island grace that says, “no rush, you’re here now.”

Breakfast is unpretentious—coffee that wakes you up, eggs that mean business, fruit that reminds you why it grew here. At night, the bar comes alive with travelers from everywhere, bonded by sunburns, laughter, and cheap rum poured with generosity. Step outside, and the pulsing heart of Playa de las Américas reminds you that solitude and chaos can share the same street.

This isn’t a five-star sanctuary. It’s better than that—it’s real. KN Columbus doesn’t try to impress; it invites you to let go. Sometimes, that’s all you need.

Had an absolutely wonderful stay. Check in was so simple and room was ready early. Staff are so friendly and helpful, felt very safe as a solo traveler . Very comfortable beds. Lots of choice food and drink. Despite it being extremely busy, I never heard and noise at night. So many beds and areas for relaxing and sunbathing. Would recommend and will be returning.

My daughter's very first holiday abroad and my first holiday in years, we came with my parents and we have similar updated room/apartment. I stayed in room 211 there was a few issues in mine but it didn't spoil our holiday. The net on the windows noticed there was a tear in it and dirty think it's make up on it and also think it's paint on top of it too. The flooring in the bathroom is not finished around the door frame. The shower floor the water leaks out of the seal to under the sink when showering, also when you shower the grid is at the opposite end instead of being under the direction of the water from the shower so because of that it runs off on to the floor. There is no shelving in there so I couldn't put my wash bag in there so I had to find a way of having the items I need in there with me. Kitchen area wobbly fridge but also not much area for you to prep food if using a hob stove also not much storage space for shopping. The balcony table is grimey I tried to clean it but nothing would come off. All in all it's a lovely hotel the cleaning staff are lovely and the reception staff are too. When you walk in the entrance you can smell the freshness and see how clean it is. There are plenty of shops around to do your necessity shopping if you have not opted for inclusive I would say my opinion one of the decent restaurant/pub around the hotel is The Chiefton and onsite is The Corner. If needing a taxi there is rank if you leave at the main entrance walk down the slope towards the main road by the corner shop you will notice they sit there they all start at €3.85, If you take a taxi to go to Vista Sur it will remain the same price.

Had an enjoyable experience at columbus. Check in easy, rooms basic but spotless and well equipped. Great pressure on the shower. Common areas of hotel cleaned on regular basis.
