Apartamentos HG Cristian Sur in Los Cristianos

Just got back from the apartments and would never stay there again and I’m not fussy when it comes to holidays! Pros: Fantastic location as we were self catering there were plenty of places we grabbed stuff for lunches. Apartment was cleaned regularly and had fresh towels every other day. Cons: We were on the fourth floor with no lifts and it was a trek going up and down the narrow stairs. Had to pay for Wi-Fi and was about 20 euro for 7 days for only 2 devices! Our room was over the bar so got woken up early every morning when the chairs were being dragged across the tiles whilst staff set up for the day. Night time was horrendously noisy with both adults and children screaming and shouting until gone midnight. Had hot water for showers for about 3 minutes every night and then it ran cold- not good for a family of four! Good luck getting a sunbed! They are unlocked around 9am and there are people waiting around at least half an hour beforehand marking their territory by placing their towels on the ground! We were able to get a couple of beds on 2-3 days but refused to wait at the poolside for them to be unlocked. Large sign said towels would be removed if you reserved a sunbed but never saw this happening. Lifeguard was strict about Lilos, balls and sinkers only being allowed to be used in 1 out of the 4 pools so that was overcrowded. This moves me onto my last con which are the older generation who have bought their apartments. They get the same sunbathing spots everyday but don’t appear until after lunch leaving their sun beds unused the majority of the day. They tie cushions onto the sun beds as they aren’t comfortable- just plastic and give you lots of dirty looks if you dare go in the pool and splash around like you are suppose to use a pool on holiday!
